Overview
Overlooking an enchanting sea temple on top of a dramatic volcanic outcrop, this villa has superb ocean views and mesmerising sunsets. The villa is spread over vast gardens and features Balinese open plan pavilion living. A full team of staff are on hand to make your holiday a memorable one. Events for up to 80 guests can be held at this property.
Five bedrooms sleep 10 guests, with a luxuriant master suite with canopied king beds, a dedicated breakfast and sitting area, beautiful wood detailing throughout and striking black lanterns. The master bedroom features a private terrace complete with a bubbling jacuzzi among a lotus pond - sip a cocktail as you gaze out at the rolling countryside.
Guest bedrooms are in either a garden suite or two storey ocean view pavilion. With the exception of one room, all beds are king size, with the remaining room a convertible twin to the king bed. Charming decor with colourful cushions and art brighten up space - there's even a wooden trunk style coffee table. All rooms have ensuites with a walk-in monsoon shower, a dedicated lobby and breakfast area. The ocean pavilion room has private access, connected by an internal staircase.
Outside, the bright blue pool curves around the villa through the landscaped lawn, punctuated with exotic trees. The decking with a row of sunbeds provides a fantastic place to sunbathe or chill out with a good book after a refreshing swim. By the pool, there's a games room complete with a pool table and a TV and an alfresco bar to keep your drinks topped up.
For those who love to keep active on holiday, there's a volleyball court and access to a shared tennis court. A pair of bicycles are available to borrow from the villa and there's plenty of space to run or practise yoga. If that all sounds a bit much, retire to the spa pavilion where you can summon a masseuse to try out a range of spa therapies.
What you should know…
- The upper floor guest suite and the lower floor twin room have separate private access from the garden as well as an internal staircase connecting both rooms – convenient for families with children, or can be closed off to maintain privacy between both rooms.
- A 16 seater minibus and driver is available for eight hours' hire each day for exploring the island.
- While the villa usually sleeps 10 people, beds for 5 extra guests can be arranged for an additional fee.
- Events can be organised for up to 80 guests at this property as long as prior notice is given.
- Groceries and drinks are charged a 20% handling fee, subject to service charge and government tax.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa SemarapuraVilla Pertiwi is situated in picturesque Seseh Tanah Lot. Its invigorating gardens stretch all the way the ocean, dotted with palm trees. Close your eyes and breathe in the salty sea air. Far from the hustle and bustle of the busier areas of the island but still a short drive from amenities, you really have the best of both worlds with this villa.
To the south, discover stunning beaches including Echo, Canggu and Pererenan. A beach day is always a winner in Bali, especially if it involves surfing! Bali's beaches draw surfers from around the world due to the warm seas, year-round surf and excellent reef breaks. Learn to surf in three days on a specially designed masterclass - you'll be ready to hang ten on Bali's world-class breaks in no time! Echo beach is popular with locals and tourists alike for a sundowner, and Canggu beach has a pronounced swell and unusual right-hand wave.
Pura Tanah Lot is also a popular spot for sunset as it's such a picturesque place to watch the ocean turn to glittering gold. To truly observe the power of the sea temple, visit early in the morning where you can witness a local offering ceremony. If you're lucky, your holiday might coincide with a festival, where Balinese Hindus visit the temples in a procession wearing a ceremonial dress.
A great way to experience the impossibly green landscape is by bicycle. Borrow bicycles from the villa - Seseh and Pererenan are charming places to explore on two wheels. In Canggu, take a trip down the Shortcut, a beautiful path through rice plantations. Just be careful when you move to the side to let others pass, or you might end up in the locals' book of falls!
Canggu, with its enclave of spas and boutiques, cosy cafes and hip bars is also a short drive from the villa. Indulge in a soothing, traditional Balinese massage at a fancy spa, and on Sundays, head to La Laguna gipsy market for organic and eco-friendly products and traditional handicrafts, to the soundtrack of live music. A special place to practise yoga nearby is Desa Seni, an eco-friendly resort that celebrates Indonesian culture and art. Locally, pick up some hand decorated pottery at Tanteri Ceramics, a family business with a gallery and a small shop.
The Jutilwah rice terraces at the foot of Mount Batakuru will thrill and interest any visitor. Enjoy the sweeping vistas of lush greenery as you stroll through the fields that were a UNESCO Cultural Heritage Site candidate. Sitting at 850m above sea level, the panoramic views are to die for. Expansive tea plantations dot the landscape - why not take a tour, learn about how it's produced and of course sample a range of delicious teas. Jutilwah means extraordinary in Indonesian, and it certainly lives up to its name.

Best Suited For: All AgesBali is such a special place to take children of all ages - the legendary hospitality of Balinese people definitely extends to the smaller members of the family. Plenty of activities - from bike rides to beaches - await younger guests, and there's a dizzying array of food for children to try all over the island. They'll be able to sample foods like nasi goreng, Pisan goreng and the famous exotic fruits.
The rice terraces are a beautiful sight to behold and children will love whizzing through on a bicycle in between acres of lush greenery, meeting locals and trying delicious snacks along the way. Bali's beaches are always a winner with children and Echo beach is no exception. In the day, they can watch surfers dart in and out of the waves and enjoy the glorious sunset in the evening.
A visit to Tanah Lot sea temple is a great way to introduce children to Balinese spirituality. Children are most welcome to watch the offering ceremonies and rituals, and the view from the top of the craggy rock is nothing short of sublime.
The pool has a dedicated shallow area for children to swim, while confident swimmers will be happy splashing around and doing laps in the whole pool. There's a huge amount of space for kids to run around in the garden and they'll love chilling out with a movie and practising their pool skills in the games room.
Asia's number one waterpark, Waterbom is also immensely popular with families. Kids can try out a huge range of adrenalin-pumping and gentler water slides including The Climax, with its jaw-dropping 360-degree loop. It's bound to put a smile on their faces.
Parents will be pleased to know that there are baby cots, car seats and high chairs available for the smallest members of the family.

Nyepi Religious Day
Please be informed that Bali island celebrates Nyepi (Silent) Day each year on below dates. The Nyepi (Silent) Day is a day of absolute silence throughout the island and it starts at 6 AM that day and finishes 6 AM the following day. No outdoor activities are allowed and there will be no check-in and check-out from properties on 29 March 2025, 19 March 2026, 8 March 2027.

I am teary-eyed leaving Villa Semarapura
We will miss this place so much. My husband and I have waited over 3 years to come here; we had planned our destination wedding back in 2020, but the pandemic happened. As they say, everything happens for a reason. To come here has truly been a dream come true! Our belated honeymoon combined with a birthday celebration with close friends. We LOVE EVERYONE HERE!! Welcoming us with drinks and bread while watching the beautiful sunset... WOW. Cooking class and every meal with Chef Kadek and Edi were so fun; she even surprised me with carrot cake homemade! Bayu, Bagus, Merta, and the security guard/gardener went above and beyond. We appreciate you all and feel so blessed to be here. We will be back for sure to renew our vows. Thank you for making our experience the best.

We just returned from an amazing vacation in Bali and absolutely loved our stay at Villa Semarapura. This villa is incredible and kept in great shape. The grounds are like walking through a museum of sculptures and there is an amazing amazing pool. The location is great if you are looking to get away with friends and relax – villa will accommodate 10 people or five couples comfortably. It is located at the end of the road with several pop up bars that open each night to enjoy the sunset near the beach. I recommend renting scooters to explore the surrounding areas, or take advantage of the Villa van. Most importantly, the staff – Bayu, Kadek, Edy, Mertayasa, Bagus and Wita – were amazing and catered to our every need during our stay. The Chef is top notch at this property and it was an absolute pleasure eating in the incredible dining room each day! The Staff helped my wife plan an amazing Birthday celebration with fresh flowers, wonderful food, cake and Balinese dancers.

I would like to say that from the bottom of my heart we have had the most magnificent eight months living at villa Semarapura. The property is not only beautiful but so are the wonderful staff members who work here. Every day start with beautiful sunrise sound of the ocean nearby and beaming smiles from the gorgeous staff. It feels like a warm home away from home. We leave here with a sense of renewal and gratitude that we have had the privilege to live in such a beautiful home and setting.
