We can all agree that 2020 has been a challenging year. So, we were thrilled when we found out we were voted one of the best villa rental companies in the world at this year’s global Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards!
Each time we win an award we get excited about it – but this year it means more than ever. Our amazing customers and property owners have not only stayed by our side during this turbulent time, but have voted for us to win this prestigious award! Our team are a tough bunch, and have been working harder than ever in crazy circumstances to make sure our clients experience next-level customer service, as well as finding more amazing properties and destinations to add to our portfolio. So, it’s lovely to have this effort recognised and appreciated.
2020 has made us realise just how much we love going out and exploring the world, and how much our holidays mean to us and our loved ones. We have no idea what next year will bring, but we’re optimistic – and we know with our loyal customers and property owners by our side we’ll work through it together.
So, to everyone who voted for us, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. And for anyone reading this who’s thinking of booking with us, do it! We’ve got a book with confidence guarantee, as well as award-winning customer service and now we’ve placed 2nd at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards 2020!
“Tuscany has pretty much everything you could want in a holiday- rolling hills, medieval towns, Chianti wine- need I say more?! It’s the perfect place to visit if you like to do some sightseeing in the morning and then relax by the pool with an Aperol spritz in the afternoon. From San Gimignano, Siena, Volterra and Florence, there are so many beautiful places to explore and lots of delicious food to choose from.” Britta, Sales Manager
“I’d put Corfu on my list! This paradise-like island is the oasis we all need to escape what’s happening in the rest of the world – at least for a week or two. First-class beaches, delicious Greek food and timeless small towns make this a top destination for me.” Julieta, Product
“I love Portugal in general so much as it has so much to offer from its luscious green countryside in the North to the idyllic coves in the South, but if I had to pick a region I’d say the Algarve. Crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, natural beauty and amazing food with great travel links to the rest of the country – it’s got everything!” Dean, Product
“Within easy reach of the capital by car or train, the county of Sussex offers beautiful countryside and a stunning coastline – the perfect antidote to city life!” Kyra, Product
“I’m all about the Lisbon Coast. Lisbon itself is famed for its gorgeous ‘hilly’ cobbled streets, the pretty tiny yellow trams and of course the yummy pasteis de nata! Slightly further along the coast from Lisbon you will find the popular surfing resort of Praia do Guincho and the increasingly popular historical town of Cascais with it’s lively marina and gorgeous beaches. And of course we shouldn’t forget the ancient Moorish town of Sintra, with it’s grand Moorish villas and palaces.” Andrew, Product
“I love Galicia, for a few reasons! It’s absolutely stunning, and great if you’re looking to travel more sustainably (with some unbelievable scenery). Forgo the plane journey in favour of the ferry crossing from Portsmouth – the initial slog to Santander is a bit long (23 hours) BUT the 5-hour drive to Galicia is one of the most incredible routes I’ve ever driven! It’s scenic heaven.” Ana, Product
“The Maldives of course! It’s got the whitest sand, the bluest sea, and the chicest accommodation. Snorkelling, spas, fine dining and relaxing in the most amazing settings… there’s no such thing as a bad holiday in the Maldives!” Jo, Product
“I’d have to go with the Dordogne. This region is a firm favourite for Brits (and myself), for good reason. From canoeing down the peaceful Dordogne river to visiting majestic castles and fortified towns, and finding some of the best fresh produce markets that France has to offer in pretty locations. Those reasons – and many more – is why I would choose the Dordogne.” David, Product
“I’m going to go for Ibiza, because it’s not just a party island and there’s so much more to it that I love! On the tranquil northern side you’ll find beautiful towns like Puerto San Miguel, small sandy cove beaches and stunning landscapes. Santa Eulalia offers a happy medium between lively and laid-back, and Ibiza Town is a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site! People often think of Ibiza as just a one hit wonder, but it actually offers so much rich culture and history.” Nuala, Product
“Devon is top of my list for a staycation in 2021 because it offers something for everyone, with bustling cities and towns including Exeter, Plymouth and Dartmouth, a beautiful coastline to soak up those summer rays, and two magnificent national parks.” Zoe, Product
“Tulum in Mexico should definitely be on your radar in 2021 if you’re a foodie and you’re after some seriously ‘gram worthy content! I ate the most incredible fresh food in the most beautiful and quirky restaurants and bars I have ever seen. The atmosphere of the coastline of Tulum is fantastic and every single place you visit is super unique. Choose from lobster pasta on the beach, mounds of the most amazing guac and homemade tortilla chips delivered to your poolside hammock, to crispy ant snacks while sipping mezcal cocktails in the jungle, late-night soft shell crab tacos, to beachside huevos rancheros brunches with freshly squeezed juices. Aside from the food – you’ve got fantastic weather, the glistening Caribbean sea, magical cenotes and mayan ruins just waiting to be explored! I can’t wait to go back and stay in one of our newly launched villas.” Natasja, Marketing
“I really love the Cotswolds. So much so, I visited three times this summer! It’s so close to London, just 2-3 hours drive (perfect for weekend’s breaks)… it’s all about the nature there – so beautiful and peaceful, you can go on really nice bike’s tours… total relaxation!” Zuzana, Concierge
“My choice for 2021 would be the South of France, the stunning locations of Monte Carlo, Nice and Cannes are all worth a visit with stunning beaches incredible food, luxury yachts and boutiques are all a must see. But the hidden gem for me is the smaller old town of Villefranche nestled along the coast and well worth a visit with its pastel coloured buildings, narrow streets and small harbour, here I would enjoy a cold glass of crisp white wine in friendly local fish restaurants serving the catch of the day and whilst at a much slower pace you can watch the world go by.” Tracy, Sales
