The secret behind our world-class ski holidays is the cracking team of ski experts we’ve gathered to help provide top-notch advice, share their personal experiences and spill the tea on all things ski. We thought it only fair that you get to meet them before they send you off on the adventure of a lifetime…

Georgie Adams – Concierge

Georgie – Oliver’s Travels

Georgie is a real superstar on the slopes. She started skiing at a young age and since then she’s been fortunate enough to ski is quite a few resorts! She especially loves the Austrian resorts, and St Anton is her absolute favourite. She loves the great off-piste skiing for advanced skiers and that they have the best après in the Alpes.

Georgie’s tip: Always pack sun cream on the mountains the sun is stronger than you think and you can get some seriously bad goggle eyes!

Sophie Stileman – Concierge

Sophie – Oliver’s Travels

The lovely Sophie has been raving about ski since day dot! She gets excited about it all, from hitting the snow first thing in the morning to socialising in lively après-ski bars. Though she’s an Austrian fanatic, she is an extremely well-travelled skier with a wealth of knowledge of Europe’s leading ski resorts.

Sophie’s tip: If you’re hiring a car from Geneva airport, book the collection from the terminal on the French side – it works out much cheaper and the brief motorway journey will take you straight into Chamonix!

Julia Bianco – Product Executive

Julia – Oliver’s Travels

Our Italian Alps expert, Julia, squeezes a ski holiday every year whilst visiting her family and friends. She’s incredibly sporty and so Julia equally enjoys mountain adventures and strongly recommends trying out ski-touring as well as cross-country skiing.

Julia’s tip: Look out for the recreational and non-skiers in your party and try to find a happy medium in your choice of resort. You will be amazed at how many places offer extensive leisure-spa complexes consisting of ice-skating rinks, bowling alleys, etc…

Stevan Popovich – Product Manager

Stevan – Oliver’s Travels

Last but not least we have Stevan, head of our epic ski operation. He has skied in some of the quirkiest places in the world while working for UK’s major tour operators – Caucasus, Tatra Mountains, Lapland, Pyrenees and the Balkans, to name but the few. ‘Ski and see’ is his motto, so it may come as no surprise that Austria is his favourite destination.

Stevan’s tip: You’ll never be stumped for places to ski. In fact, when it comes to booking your holiday, the most important factors should be the choice of resorts and availability of flights. Followed by the extra elements, such as the resort amenities, the proximity of the lifts, scenery/atmosphere, number of slopes, accommodation location, etc.

Now you’ve got to know our ski gurus a little bit better, feel free to give them a call on +44 (0)800 133 7999 or fill in our nifty concierge form. The team are ready and waiting to provide you with the best advice and they’ll even help handpick the chalet of your dreams.
