Travel is firmly back on the cards now, and our team of adventurers are wasting no time in getting out into the world! Sales Team Leader Nicola recently visited Barbados, and we had to sit down with her to talk all things turtles and turquoise sea!
I was lucky enough to go to Barbados in September 2021 and stayed at the lovely Saint Peter’s Bay Hotel, which is wonderfully located in Saint James.
There were so many highlights but definitely one was going out in the morning on a turtle tour, which is actually provided complimentary from Saint Peter’s Bay if you stay for more than 7 nights. The water is incredibly clear out there, and you can actually jump in and swim with the turtles!
Just how much there was to do on the island! From rum tastings to water-sports and boat cruises, you certainly won’t be short of things to do. It’s also that sort of place that has something to suit everyone, whether you’re travelling as a family or a couple.
The best food had to be at a place just down the road from Saint Peter’s Bay called Sea Shed – they made the most incredible lobster roll! There was also a place called The Tides which had the most incredible setting overlooking the sea. However, it was actually a formal dining restaurant with a great selection of cocktails as well.
I would say it’s important to learn about the history behind the island – we went to St Nicholas Abbey up in the hills for a rum tasting and to learn about the grounds.
Explore the island and eat at so many of the incredible eateries around. And try a rum punch at least once!
Bright. Tropical. Luxurious. Fun. Dreamy!
