The Best Babymoon Destinations Around The World

Welcoming a new addition to your family is a thrilling time—but before the sleepless nights and endless diaper changes begin, why not savour some time away together? A babymoon offers the perfect opportunity to relax, rejuvenate, and create beautiful memories before you dive into the joys (and chaos) of parenthood. Whether you’re dreaming of serene beaches, romantic countryside escapes, or tranquil spa retreats, we’ve handpicked some of the world’s most exquisite babymoon destinations (and where to stay!) to help you unwind and connect.

1. Bali, Indonesia

Also known as the Land of the Gods, Bali’s main appeal is its natural splendour. From looming volcanoes and tropical beaches to rugged cliff tops and dynamic patty fields (not to mention Bali’s exciting spa scene), every nook and cranny is just waiting to be explored on your babymoon. But if you look beyond the aesthetics and the to-die-for sundowners, you’ll be enchanted by the country’s spiritual culture and ever-smiling locals. The Balinese have an essence money can’t buy, full of joy and peace – an extra special incentive with your little one on the way.

Where to stay: Villa West, Canggu

2. Cyprus

If long-haul doesn’t appeal, Cyprus is still one of the warmer places you can get to without leaving Europe. Okay, so you won’t be sunbathing in December, but temperatures still remain around a pleasant 17°C. The cost of a Cyprus holiday is pretty reasonable too, so you can enjoy a luxury getaway without the guilt that you might be depriving your first-born of a Bugaboo.

Where to stay: Villa Yiorgis, Aphrodite Hills

3. Kalkan, Turkey

Boasting over 300 days of sunshine a year, Kalkan is a hit with sun worshippers. Temperatures rarely drop below 20°C, and great weather will almost be a given on your babymoon. Kalkan is a haven for anyone looking to get away from it all and enjoy the beauty of the azure sea. Although the appeal doesn’t end there – famous for its whitewashed houses with bougainvillaea draping the walls, you’re guaranteed breathtaking photos of you and bump.

Where to stay: Villa Iki, Kalkan

4. Tuscany, Italy

Tuscan life is the la dolce vita we all love and long for – slow-paced, culturally rich and a side of gourmet Italian food (while your other half samples the regional wines). In Tuscany, the roots of the Renaissance run as deep as the grape vines and the sunny summer is gloriously long. So, chill next to your pool and fire up the barbeque or head into Tuscany’s cultural centres and nourish your mind – this is one destination that really does have a little bit of everything.

5. Amalfi Coast, Italy

From picturesque towns to sandy shores, there is no end to the charms of the Amalfi Coast. Mothers-to-be will feel right at home in its sun-ripened embrace, and we encourage you both to take in the vibrant culture with gusto. This is a place for lovers – a romantic coast that ticks all the babymoon boxes. So, if you can picture yourself kicking your shoes off and taking a sip of Amalfi’s best lemonade, this is the destination for you.

Where to stay: Villa Per Mare, Ischia

6. Cannes, France

When you think of Cannes, a few things spring to mind. Whether that’s yacht-filled harbours, the glitzy promenade or the bright lights of the town’s renowned casinos, there’s something here for everyone to enjoy. What we love about the South of France are the little towns that make up the French Riviera. Saint-Raphael and Agay are just two of many and both are easily accessible from the train station in Cannes. Oh, and did we mention the food? Although on the pricier end, it’s utterly moreish – any excuse to eat for two!

7. The Cotswolds, UK

For a babymoon destination close to home (that won’t break the bank), look no further than the Cotswolds. Not only is one of the most beautiful and more romantic regions in England – it’s one that perfectly represents the best of the English countryside. Straddling several counties, the Cotswolds boasts undulating hills and farmland, striking architecture and monuments as well as some particularly charming villages that make for relaxing and delightful day trips with your love.

Where to stay: Lavender Farmhouse

8. St Lucia, Caribbean

If there’s ever a time to visit St Lucia, it’s now! Imagine volcanic mountains plunging into the sea, rain forests, sulphur springs, idyllic beaches… St Lucia has a cultural mix like no other, plus a colourful history and a love for anything chocolate. Add in the beautiful botanical gardens, magical bays and heaps of adventure activities such as hiking and all the water sports island living has to offer, and you’ve got yourself a fairy-tale babymoon destination.

9. Crete, Greece

Crete’s sunny beaches and sparkling coves mingle with ancient caves and ruins that could make anyone’s fantasy run wild. For a beach day (or two, or three), Chania on the west side of the island is the place to go. The white sands here feel like they’re on a desert island but are really just a stone’s throw from the city’s gorgeous Venetian harbour and waterfront restaurants where you can have a taste of freshly caught calamari.

Where to stay: Villa Azzurra

10. Lisbon, Portugal

Okay, we know what you’re thinking – a city for a babymoon? Well, as it goes, Lisbon’s alluring charm and spades of culture attract couples from all over the world. Although quite hilly, the capital is nicely compact and the streets are lined with pastel-coloured buildings adorned with famous Portuguese tiles. You can also opt to stay outside of the city, where the beautiful coastline stretches out as far as the eye can see. Lisbon is truly what you make it!
