4. Palazzo Novara, Lake Orta 

Splash a little cash on this gorgeous 17th-century mansion, and we can assure you it’ll be worth every penny. In fact, Palazzo Novara underwent a total makeover in 2012 but thankfully the original architecture has been maintained, with an added oomph of modern comforts.
