How long have you owned the property?
We have owned the house for six years, and our first guests arrived during Christmas 2018. We managed to redecorate and prepare the house within just a few months—a hectic but incredibly fun experience!
What was it about the property that you first fell in love with?
Definitely the abundance of natural light that fills the living spaces. The back of the house features ceiling-high French windows overlooking the garden and swimming pool. There's a great flow from the lounge, kitchen and dining space out to the garden and it's always bright. Even in the winter months there's a touch of summer in the house!
Do you have a favourite room in the property?
The primary bedroom is always a treat to stay in. With a freestanding bath right in the room, it offers the perfect touch of luxury - getting out of bed and straight into your own bath without leaving the room, bliss!
For anyone coming to stay, is there anything in the surrounding area they should...
- Really do? A visit to Cheltenham Races is a must if it’s on during your stay. It’s only about 30 minutes away by taxi and makes for an unforgettable day out.
- Really eat? The Wild Rabbit in Kingham is a place for foodies. There is loads of organic produce on the menu and a beautiful, high-end setting for special occasions.
- Really see? Blenheim Palace in Woodstock is an absolute must-see. Once the family home of Winston Churchill, this breathtaking building is steeped in history. Spend the day exploring its stunning landscaped grounds, and don’t miss Woodstock itself, with its charming pubs and restaurants. If your timing’s right, you could even catch one of Blenheim’s Proms or Christmas events!
What insider tip would you pass on about the property or the area?
At the far end of Kingham village, there’s a track that leads all the way to Daylesford Farm Shop and Bamford Spa. Here, you’ll find a café, restaurant, food shop, plants, homeware, and, of course, a luxurious spa! It’s about a 30-minute walk, and if you’re feeling adventurous, you can extend your journey with a loop through the picturesque villages of Oddington and Bledington (both with charming pubs) before returning to Kingham. Plus, if you’re struggling to secure a reservation at any local pubs or restaurants, just let us know—we can often work a little magic to conjure up a table!

It was the perfect space
We stayed here with friends and family, and had such a lovely time. It was the perfect space for a larger group - especially thanks to the wonderful kitchen and large dining table. We loved having the fire on and it worked well for dogs!

We had a wonderful family weekend away at Blossom Cottage. It was very clean, cosy, had everything we needed, and we felt at home straight away. The basket of goodies and supplies, as well as the chilled fizz, were all very much appreciated! Thank you Ian, we did enjoy staying in your home.

We had a lovely week staying at the property. There were 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 dog. The property itself is lovely inside and out. Everything is provided for you which I think is brilliant. The hamper provided on arrival was a lovely touch. The kids made use of the pool while we were there and loved it. The location of the property is fantastic. Kingham is a lovely little village. We had a few lovely meals at the Plough amongst other places. Kingham really is a great base to explore the Cotswolds. Would definitely stay at this property again.

The location of the property is very good, within easy walking distance of gastro pubs and 2 mins from Daylesford organic farm shop, a great place for breakfast. Very spacious property and Ian provided a lovely arrival basket full of goodies. All around a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

The place was ideal
The place was ideal as we stayed for a couple days to attend a wedding nearby. The house was very well kept and everything was communicated well. It was great to have use of the pool in the heat and the welcome hamper was a nice touch. Would recommend.

A perfect little place!
An absolute memorable hottest summer stay at a perfect little place! A wonderful spacious little house with fantastic natural light flooding into the open plan set up. The outdoor private pool was the real bonus for us as we just wanted a mini relaxing low activity break. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely keep coming back for more! The beds are very comfy for a good night’s sleep. The house is very clean and beautifully decorated simple and stylish. Wish we had a few more days to enjoy more!

We enjoyed a weekend away
We enjoyed a weekend away as a group of 6 women and the house suited us well. We strolled into Kingham and went to the plough for dinner and also just enjoyed the walks nearby. Nice not to drive! The house is well equipped and had everything we needed for a relaxing and pleasant stay. Would recommend!

An excellent host - very responsive on the messaging and very helpful to help us layout the bedrooms in a way that suited us. We were also very impressed when he managed to recommend and book us a nice restaurant during the busy Easter week end. Top host!
