Combe Martin House is a stunning retreat for large groups, accommodating 15 guests across two connected properties, Wild Pear House and Broadsands Farmhouse. Set on a 16-acre estate in North Devon, it offers luxurious amenities, scenic valley views, and easy access to Combe Martin’s sandy beaches, Exmoor National Park, and the Southwest Coast Path.
Wild Pear House features five elegant bedrooms, stylish living and dining areas, a games room, and a charming kitchen. Its deck and garden boast a hot tub, alfresco dining, and breathtaking views. Broadsands Farmhouse, the original restored farmhouse, has three atmospheric bedrooms, a sociable kitchen, and a cosy living space with a wood-burning stove. Its private garden also includes a hot tub and barbecue area.
Guests enjoy access to exceptional resort facilities, including a swimming pool, games room, playground, and an animal farm with alpacas, pygmy goats, and peacocks. The estate offers nature trails, orchards, a dog-walking field, and meditation spots. Evening activities include marshmallow toasting at the fire pit, and yoga and aqua aerobics are available.

What you should know…
- Combe Martin House is dog friendly. You will be given a doggy welcome pack with a quilted waterproof sofa protector, a dog towel, water bowl, a flashing safety tag, dog treats, pool bags and a dedicated disposal bin. There is a large field for off lead fun and wonderful walks throughout the estate.
- Combe Martin House is comprised of two adjoining properties, Wild Pear House and Broadsands Farmhouse. The two properties can become one through a secret bookcase in the dining room (like something out of an Agatha Christie novel!).
- For smaller or larger groups, there are three other properties in the resort available to rent alongside or instead of Combe Martin House. Please see Holdstone Cottage, Newt Cottage and Old Combe Barn.

We have booked again for next year!
Great welcome for our party of 10 adults, 3 under fives and 6 dogs. Spacious and comfortable accommodation. The host called round soon after arrival to explain things and immediately brought bed sides and a replacement kettle when requested.
We enjoyed time in the pool with the children , the hot tub for the adults. The children’s outdoor play area was perfect for the tinies and would suit older children too, our dogs were also clearly welcome.
My adult children cooked a 4 course dinner to celebrate my birthday on one night and had all the equipment they needed provided.
We have booked again for next year! -

The children gave it 100/10
Three generations enjoyed a wonderful holiday at Combe Martin House. There was so much to do that the children were happy to spend most of the week on site. The owners have thought of everything to make sure that everyone is well catered for and any slight problems we encountered were soon dealt with. If we had wanted to venture further afield there was plenty to do on the doorstop but the furthest we went was Combe Martin Beach where the children loved rock climbing & rock pooling. The app we downloaded for the site was extremely well thought out & useful as was the honesty shop.
All in all a brilliant location - the children gave it 100/10 and that says it all! -
Idyllic country house close to sand, sea and attractions
We have just returned from our second family holiday. We are a family of 12 ranging from Great Grandad to Great Grandchildren. What a treat it is to be all located in adjoining properties (Wild Pear House and Broadsands Farmhouse) having loads of space for everyone to 'do their own thing'. The littlies love the 'secret door' between the two properties!
Great G loved relaxing on the patio whilst the Great Grandchildren dived between the animals (especially the alpacas), pool, soft play and the very well equipped play area (pirate boat was a great hit!)
We explored Ilfracombe, Coombe Martin's Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Watermouth Theme Park and Castle, rounding off each day with a coffee and cake watching the comings and goings at Watermouth Harbour.
We are busy planning next years family holiday which hopefully will be spent here, availability allowing.
Whilst highly recommending the properties, we would also highlight that Alice is a terrific host, always on hand to help out, extremely accommodating and flexible - Thanks Alice :-) -
Great setting
Lovely 3 day break in January with 14 family members. Great setting, plenty for younger members of family to do. Not far from beaches. We would certainly return, probably when weather was warmer.

A March Birthday
We went to for a 4-night family (6 adults and 2-year old) break and to celebrate my wife's birthday in March. The setting of Combe Martin House, the facilities, the service and the house itself were absolutely wonderful and we were very fortunate with the weather. We particularly enjoyed a fantastic birthday dinner cooked by Wayne, the chef.

Beautiful location
Really enjoyed our stay, in a beautiful location if you want to be out of the town. Very friendly welcome from the owner with a welcome pack for us. Lovely indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi outside the door, which was delightful even though our stay was in cold weather. Lots for the kids to do. Highly recommend this place

Beautiful location
Set in a beautiful location in the middle of a valley in North Devon, the property is a child's dream. We stayed in Newt Cottage and couldn't fault the quality. There is plenty for children to do on the grounds such as swimming, playing sports on the sports field (tucked away at the top of the hill). Playing in the amazing Wendy House, pirate ship, tractor or jumping on the trampoline, meeting the various animals or walking in the herb and veg garden. There's also loads to do in the local area, you'll never be bored, our favourites were Woolacombe and Combe Martin beaches and the Dinosaur Park (10 minutes drive away). Whatever you do I'm sure you'll have fun at the resort!

Another return visit
This was our fourth stay at a Combe Martin House property and we were not disappointed! The house is very comfortable and is very well equipped and the facilities onsite are excellent. My sons were very excited to discover there was a new viewing platform and communal fire pit within the grounds. We enjoyed two evening fire pit sessions where we toasted marshmallows and read bedtime stories by the fire, a lovely way to spend an evening!
A special mention must go to Roy who remembered us from our previous visits and welcomed us back. As ever, he was very patient with our sons during the daily animal feeding sessions, which were definitely a highlight of the holiday and always made time to chat to us when we saw him.
