Cork is known for its rich history and culture, which is evident in its many museums, galleries, and historic buildings. Some of the city's most popular attractions include the Cork City Gaol, a former prison that now serves as a museum; the English Market, a covered food market that dates back to the 18th century; and the Crawford Art Gallery, which houses a collection of contemporary and classical art.

Reviews

  • A must stay

    on 24/09/2024

We enjoyed the most spectacular stay in Honey Meadow. It was our third stay. It is a stunning estate and a marvellous location. The estate is gorgeous and magnificently appointed. The owners were the most charming and welcoming hosts. It achieves our highest recommendation - a must stay.

  • Everything is excellent.

    on 18/09/2024

A surprising place, elegant, warm and comfortable. It feels like the host's home is hosting guests. Everything is excellent. I would like to go back in the season when the flowers are in full bloom: wisteria climbing the walls, purple magnolia dome, and camellia circle. But now, it is also a perfect feeling to laze by the fireplace and read a book.

  • One of the best places we have ever stayed in Ireland!

    on 24/08/2024

It is simply one of the best places we have ever stayed in in Ireland. We loved every single thing about it, especially the throne-like bath in our room. And the food is completely amazing, so recommend dinner highly (though it's hard to complain about the excellent breakfast too!)

  • A slice of heaven!

    on 31/07/2023

This place is a slice of heaven that feeds my soul every time I visit. The house is beautifully decorated and your room is full of luxurious character. Gorgeous beds cuddle you to sleep. Amazing hand crafted cocktails are served before an amazing dinner and it just feels like a house party. Breakfasts are freshly prepared and very generous. The grounds offer lovely walks, croquet and tennis! Lots of room to relax or play and the owners can offer all sorts of advice to continue your holiday.

Honey Meadow was the venue for a weekends wedding celebration. The family and staff this beautiful country manor house make you feel so at home with their kind attentive thoughtful presence. Nothing is too much trouble and everything you could wish for to enjoy your stay here is thought of. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal with a classy sophistication that makes every guest feel like the lord or lady of the manor. I would love to go back one day. It is an experience I will never forget for all joyous reasons. Thank you!

  • I will never get over it

    on 31/01/2022

We had the most wonderful unforgettable summer wedding at Honey Meadow. We had exclusive hire of the house for 3 days. I will never get over it. From the second we arrived at the house we were treated like royalty. The house is nestled away in the peaceful countryside of north Cork. The surroundings of this stunning unimposing house are vast and tranquil. We were welcomed to the house with roaring fires lit in each room which made them cosy and inviting. All our guests were personally greeted and shown to their rooms/glamping tents. The house is steeped in history, each room a treasure so comfortable and elegant. We had the place to ourselves with our family and we felt so welcome and at home immediately.
