Tucked away on a serene swimming pond in the heart of the South Downs National Park, Lily Ponds Cottage offers quintessential charm, less than two hours from bustling London. This spacious, four-bedroom cottage is overflowing with character both inside and out and has been immaculately renovated to combine the owners’ artistic tastes with the areas tranquillity. Sculptures dot the landscape, friendly alpacas roam the garden, and a charming Champagne hut sits ready to welcome you on special occasions – all the ingredients for a truly exceptional break away!
As you arrive at Lily Ponds Cottage, the front door opens into a fabulous entertaining space. Furnished with a large dining table, this bright and airy room is perfect for large dinners and all-important quality time with your loved ones. At the head of the table a magnificent fireplace adds charm to this bright room, whilst low level lighting over the table creates a level of intimacy. An open doorway, leads through to the living room which is equally spacious, boasting a cosy, working fireplace and a large TV, where you can curl up with a cup of tea and a good book, embracing every relaxing moment in this unique cottage. The adjacent farmhouse style kitchen is equipped with everything you might need, as well as a breakfast bar style table, so you can stay sociable whilst cooking. The ground floor also offers a single bedroom and separate toilet, ideal for those that might struggle to climb the open staircase to the upper floor.
Upstairs, there are three immaculate bedrooms, two ensuite bathrooms and a family bathroom. Each bedroom combines the charm and character of the house with sumptuous furnishings. Looking out over the gardens and vineyards, each room feels like a private retreat from the world, perfect for long mornings in bed and restful nights sleep.
Stepping outside, Lily Ponds Cottage is an oasis amongst the Sussex countryside. Revolving around the beautiful lily pond, the south-facing garden is complete with a hot tub, a cosy Champagne hut, a charming gin shed, and even your own vineyard! Perfect for making memories with your loved ones in every season. This unique oasis of art and tranquillity is the perfect base outside of bustling London, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.

- There are two open lakes at the property. Guests are advised to keep an eye on any young children.
- There are three Alpaca who live in the garden of the property.
- Take care when using the open staircase to the first floor (there is no handrail).

About the surrounding area of Lily Ponds CottageLily Pond Cottage is wonderfully located close to Pulborough with easy access to a wealth of wonderful sites and local activities.
There are plenty of local family-run public houses, with beer gardens and beautiful views of the South Downs. It is also located near idyllic Petworth, home to The Hungry Guest cafe and farm shop and houses many quaint antique shops. Arundel is also within close proximity and boasts a beautiful castle, oozing with charm and having plenty of restaurants: Italian, Chinese and British.
Also located in West Sussex is Goodwood, renowned for both its car and horse races and makes for a great day out. They host events such as the Goodwood Revival, Festival of Speed and have a restaurant called Farmer Butcher Chef, which serves superb food as well as a gorgeous sculpture park with an eclectic mix of stunning exhibits. In terms of walks, you are close to both the South Downs and West Wittering beach, both of which are immensely picturesque.
