Known as “Ynys Môn” in Welsh, this idyllic island is surrounded by pristine beaches, rugged coastal paths, and dramatic sea cliffs, offering an unparalleled setting for those seeking a tranquil escape or an adventure-filled getaway. The Anglesey Coastal Path, a 125-mile trail encircling the island, showcases breathtaking vistas and diverse wildlife, making it a haven for walkers, birdwatchers, and nature lovers. With its Blue Flag beaches like Newborough and Benllech, Anglesey also appeals to families and beachgoers, offering golden sands, safe swimming waters, and opportunities for watersports like kayaking and paddleboarding.
Beyond its natural allure, Anglesey is steeped in history and culture. Visitors can explore ancient monuments such as Bryn Celli Ddu, a Neolithic burial chamber, or marvel at Beaumaris Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its perfectly symmetrical design. The island’s charming villages and bustling market towns, such as Menai Bridge and Holyhead, boast traditional pubs, independent shops, and local delicacies, including fresh seafood and the famous Anglesey sea salt. For a unique experience, visit the picturesque South Stack Lighthouse, perched atop cliffs teeming with seabirds, or take a trip to Llanddwyn Island, a romantic spot steeped in legend and linked to the Welsh patron saint of love, St. Dwynwen. With its unspoiled landscapes, fascinating heritage, and variety of activities, Anglesey promises an unforgettable holiday for couples, families, and solo travelers alike.

Sooo many lovely spaces
Me and my family of 17 had such an amazing time in the accommodation. The second floor bar area is perfect! Sooo many lovely spaces that I didn’t know which one I wanted to spend my time in more! Great for all types of weekends!

Really impressed
What a brilliant stay we had at Bodorgan Railway House! As a group of 16 adults, 2 children, 2 toddlers and 1 baby (plus furry friends) there was ample space for us all to spread out, relax and enjoy the beautiful house and it’s surroundings. We were really impressed with all the facilities and small touches that the owners have thought of that made our trip as easy and enjoyable as possible. From the soft play equipment, toys and highchairs for the younger members of our party to the very well equipped kitchen and lovely toiletries in each bathroom. The house was spotlessly clean and beds/linen very comfortable. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were great sizes and the ‘pub’ inside the house was a real hit, a really lovely original feature! Jon and the team were superb and always responded extremely quickly before we arrived as well as when we were there. A really great place with lots of wow factor, would highly recommend.

Had everything we needed.
Perfect stay for a birthday weekend. Absolutely loved the bar and the host provided kegs. Beds were super comfy and the house had everything we needed. Already looking to book again!

As described
Jon and his team were great with prompt effective and helpful communication throughout the process. Bodorgan is as described, well equipped and serves well for larger groups. We were a group of 20 celebrating a family birthday and the pub was a great place to get together. The kitchen downstairs is also a great space to get together .

The views from the hot tub are great
Hosts were great at communicating and gave us the option of an early check in which was a great extension to the weekend. The house was lovely and big and there was enough room for all the party. The house is set in lovely grounds and the views from the hot tub are great! The hosts were good at accommodating elderly relatives and making the snug into a ground floor bedroom which enabled them to join the rest of the family on the weekend stay and not miss out - thank you :-)

Finished to a high standard
Used the property for my brothers stag do and can’t fault it at all. Was just like having our own pub for the weekend. Finished to a high standard. Would definitely use it again. Jon and his team have done a very good job renovating the place
