Location
About the surrounding area of Bull Bay CottageThe beautiful Bull Bay Cottage benefits from a stunning location in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Looking out over Bull Bay below, this seaside retreat is the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. For larger get-togethers of friends or family, this sublime location is perfect. In fact, as part of a larger retreat, Bull Bay House and Bull Bay Cottage can both be rented separately or together, sharing the same private grounds
Close by, there are stunning coastal walks, fabulous local pubs, and a championship golf course to enjoy. With an array of adrenaline-inducing water sports hosted on the Bay below, just a five-minute walk from the retreat, the opportunities are endless.
Bull Bay is situated on the north-eastern tip of Anglesey, offering a brilliant base for exploring the best spots the island has to offer. Located off the north-west coast of Wales. The island can be accessed by train, or the 19th-century Menai Suspension Bridge and the Britannia Bridge, which was rebuilt in the 20th century. At the top of our list in this area are the seaside villages of Cemaes Bay and Benllech, as well as enjoying the fascinating heritage walks that can be taken around the old copper mine workings that overlook the Bay. The beaches are great for long walks, picnics, swimming, paddling, water sports and dolphin-watching, so you easily spend your whole trip on the sandy shores.
We would also recommend a trip to Beaumaris, best known for its impressive castle. The castle is a United Nations World Heritage site, constructed between 1295-1330 to form perfectly symmetrical concentric lines of fortification. There is also a moat and a dock for supply ships. Beaumaris town is overflowing with medieval, Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian architecture, with lovely cafes, charming restaurants and plenty of shops to explore.

Luxury self-catering holiday accommodation in North Wales
Nestled in the bear hug of the United Kingdom, North Wales is rich in history, wrapped in natural beauty and adorned with cultural bling. This land of stunning landscapes beckons you, intrepid traveller, to unravel its treasures. Please take a look at our jaw-dropping properties that will make your holiday a wonderful adventure.
North Wales’ showstopper, the Snowdonia National Park, is a playground for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Mount Snowdon, the VIP of the scene, towers above, overseeing the fun. Scenic trails, waterfalls that put your shower to shame and lakes are scattered across this magnificent landscape.
If history is your jam, Conwy Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a medieval masterpiece that flaunts military architecture. The town of Conwy is a living history book with cobbled streets and ancient buildings. One amazing landmark, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, is a 19th-century engineering marvel. Imagine a soaring aqueduct, the Dee Valley below, and views that make you question if you accidentally stepped into a postcard.
The charming village of Portmeirion is a colour explosion. Designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, this place enjoys vibrant buildings, lush gardens and seaside vibes. It is like a Welsh-Italian love affair that birthed a unique destination. Bangor is not just a university town. It is where Penrhyn Castle stands tall, a neo-Norman masterpiece surrounded by gardens that put Versailles to shame. The majestic Snowdonia mountains are the backdrop, adding drama.
North Wales is a theme park for thrill-seekers. Hiking, mountain biking, water sports, it is a playground of outdoor delights. Zip World Velocity in Bethesda takes the cake with the fastest zip line globally, making you feel like Superman over dramatic landscapes.
The coastline comes up trumps too. Llandudno boasts Victorian elegance, a historic pier and a Great Orme headland with cable cars and tramways making you feel as though you have stepped into a period drama. Aberystwyth brings the seaside charm while the nearby charmer, Betws-y-Coed is the tranquil village nestled in lush woodlands, inviting you to escape the chaos.
North Wales, with its blend of natural wonders, historic landmarks and adventure galore, is a love affair waiting to happen. Pack your bags, because each step in this magical land unfolds a new chapter in a story that has been brewing for centuries.
While the image of lush valleys and a laid-back lifestyle are right at the heart of a holiday in Wales, don’t think stunning landscapes and a bit of relaxation are the only thing on offer in this beautiful country. Don’t believe us?

The property sleeps seven guests, with a bunk room perfect for three children to share, if you are part of a larger group, then the cottage sleeps ten guests with a bunk room and a hidden kids den ideal for four children to share. Both rooms can overlap as playrooms, giving kids their own space to do their own thing and to make a mess. The open-plan living space is perfectly suited to family life, with plenty of outdoor space for kids to play.
From the property, you can take long strolls along the coast, admiring the stunning views and visiting other coastal towns and villages. Near to Amlwch Port, you will find the friendly welcome of the Copper Kingdom Centre, where you can learn the fascinating history not just of the Copper Mine here, but of copper's role in the Industrial Revolution, something that may interest kids and adults alike.
Beaumaris Castle is a United Nations World Heritage site, constructed between 1295-1330, and is a must-visit for families with kids. They will love wandering the historic walkways and taking in the history and stories that weave their way around the castle. Quite often there are plays, costumed dramas and plenty of other interactive things going on, which are particularly good for children.
The RSPB reserve at South Stack is another great place to visit with children. There is a vast stone staircase that leads down to the lighthouse, and you can all spot colourful birds like puffins and choughs along the way, sure to delight kids!

Everything you could need
Great space with everything you could need and lovely to come home and relax in the hot tub, only one restaurant within walking distance well that we found anyway and u will need to hop in your car to stock up on any food etc you run out off but just plan that in as you need to travel to the nice sandy beaches anyway. Having sky and Netflix meant evening entertainment also sorted

The views are stunning
Was beautiful! Myself and my friends stayed for a hen do and it did not disappoint! The views are stunning and it’s not far from the beach :) The decor is beautiful and well thought through. Mike was really great in his communication beforehand and during which made us feel at ease, he also helped us book a yoga activity on the garden lawn which was a lovely end to the weekend. Thank you so much :)

Only a short walk to the bay
A lovely house, modern and bright, with everything we needed for a ‘home from home’. Only a short walk to the bay, and a scenic walk along the coastal path to see porpoises, dolphins and seals! We appreciated the extra touches- books and toys for children- well stocked bathrooms- plenty of laundry and dishwasher detergent etc. We had a lovely family weekend- thank you.

A great experience. Absolutely relaxing
Our stay at this cottage was absolutely relaxing, calm and comfortable. We had a group of 10 friends and the cottage had everything we needed for a two night stay. Kitchen was well equipped that made us easy to cook for 10. Beds were so comfy and we loved the spaces in the house that made us have a great experience. Peaceful surrounding and it’s like a 5 minutes walk to the beach. We will recommend this house to anybody who wants to have a relaxing and fun stay.

Location is spot on and the cottage is beautifully
Our stay in the cottage was perfect. The location is spot on and the cottage is beautifully finished and spacious for a family of 8. The team recommended a private chef for an evening which we decided to do and it made our stay really special. Would highly recommend a stay

Hot tub and outdoor area brilliant
Family holiday for 6 adults, 4 children and a baby. Outstanding! Children’s bunk room was spacious with a hideaway that the children loved. Bedrooms spacious and comfortable with lovely touches such as blankets, cushions and quirky ornaments. Family area was perfect for watching the huge TV, games at the table and the kitchen had everything we needed. Hot tub and outdoor area brilliant. Views good with a short walk to pebble beach where we swam and canoed and walking to the low cliffs on the left saw dolphins on to evenings. Perfect for a get together.

Lovely stay
We had a lovely stay at Bull Bay Cottage, a large family group from 3 to 80 years of age! Few teething problems on arrival (as expected as only just on the market) but all dealt with very quickly and a good will gesture sent which very much appreciated. Very happy to try another holiday rental in the future!

Wished I had booked for longer
The house is beautifully set out with gorgeous veranda with bbq and hot tub. Everything you could need is provided. It’s spotlessly clean. Communication and check in easy. Everything as described. It’s in a fabulous location with great beaches and restaurants nearby. Can even walk to a local hotel restaurant and bar down at bulls bay. Wished I had booked for longer.

Comfortable beds
Hired The Cottage for the weekend with 6 friends for my 30th birthday. Took a chance and booked before renovations were even finished! But the finish is beautiful - it’s spacious & airy, multiple indoor and outdoor seating for everyone, plenty of bathrooms, & all fully stocked with plenty glassware, plates, cutlery etc. Everyone kept commenting how comfortable the beds were! The location is so close to the sea & a local hotel with a bar/restaurant, everything else is a very short drive away. Beautiful walks up the coast line with great views.
We were also without electricity for around 8 hours which is apparently quite a common occurrence in the town according to locals! But the outdoor grill is gas so we were able to cook, & the fridges stayed pretty cold so nothing was ruined. The hosts also dropped off some drinks for the birthday celebrations which was a lovely touch. Great job with the renovations guys, it’s a beautiful house! Thanks again!
Don't miss out! Reserve now and get a full refund if you change your mind within 48hrs.
