This striking coastal home is perfect for large groups looking to celebrate in style with the backdrop of the Snowdonia peaks and coastal views aplenty. With space for up to sixteen guests, and a smaller sister property available to book too, this gleaming property has everything from private tennis court to hot tub, all accompanied with picturesque views of Borth Wen Bay just a short ten-minute stroll away.
A light and airy living space can be found on the first floor in order to maximise the striking views from the floor to ceiling windows and grant easy access to the outdoor terrace balcony. Drink in hand, follow the lovely flow from the living room with large roaring log-burner onto the balcony terrace where dinner sizzles on the BBQ grill, back through to the spacious kitchen dining area where a large sixteen-seater dining table awaits your evening meal with a view. The well-equipped kitchen holds a large breakfast bar island with a Rangemaster oven, Insinkerator, two dishwashers and a wine fridge offering everything you need to host a large group plus a lot more!
Sleeping accommodation is spread across the ground floor and second floor, allowing easy access options for those who need it. Five double bedrooms complete with en-suite, two of which have patio doors that lead out to the lovely gardens. A family bathroom with bath and shower and a kid-friendly bunk room completes the ground floor. The remaining two super king bedrooms are tucked up in the eaves of the second floor and come with not only an en-suite each with bath and shower but a dressing room and striking views out to the Bay to enjoy from the cosy comfort of your morning lie-in. Zip and link beds mean that most rooms can be adapted for your party, plus cosy under floor heating in all eight bathrooms mean the emphasis can remain firmly on the comfort and happiness of guests.
The impressive outdoor area expands further than the lovely outdoor seating and BBQ terrace area, to private tennis court (shared with the neighbouring property) a private hot tub and Rebo tennis wall. Swing in a hanging chair or relax in the bubbles with a drink as you watch the world go by or if your competitive streak still needs feeding after a game on the court, then a table tennis tournament will keep even the most energetic guests busy!
With the beach just a ten-minute walk away, access to sand and sea is easy with lovely coastal walks easily accessed from your front door. There is much to see and do in one of the most visually striking parts of Wales, if you can tear yourself away from the excellent amenities on offer at Osprey House.

Location
About the surrounding area of Osprey HouseSet in its own delightful grounds Osprey House benefits from breath-taking vistas at every angle. Watch the sunrise over nearby Borth Wen Bay, within easy walking distance, ideal for enjoying a lovely coastal walk or getting stuck in with a bucket and spade. Backed by sand dunes this is a lovely safe beach where children can paddle or stretch your legs with the circular walk along Rhoscolyn beach towards the headland.
If you are looking for a night off from cooking, then we recommend a trip to the excellent local pub, The White Eagle. A real hidden gem, this pub is often referred to as the best on the island, with an elevated outdoor terrace, mouth-watering roasts and a selection of ales, all complimented by a stunning view, just two minutes from your door.
Why not visit the only working windmill in Wales at Llynon Mill? Built in 1775 the mill still produces wholemeal flour, whilst two neighbouring roundhouses provide a unique insight into the farming practise and lifestyle of the Iron Age. There is also a wonderful on-site café to grab some lunch or a slice of cake during your visit.
If you want to get out on the waves, we recommend a visit to Beaumaris Pier to grab a boat trip to Puffin Island. Skippers will steer you past the seal colony and seal cave at Penmon Point lighthouse, whilst the Island itself has a plethora of birdlife from cormorants, guillemots and of course puffins! If you are lucky you may even spot bottlenose dolphins or harbour porpoises swimming by.
A trip into the Snowdonia national park is a must during your stay. Whether you are looking to climb the highest peaks or just take in the natural beauty of the National Park there is something for everyone. We recommend the Llyn Cwellyn Boardwalk trail, an easy access lakeside walk that meanders between two soaring mountain peaks. If hiking isn’t your thing then why not hop on board the seasonal Snowdon Railway, surely one of the most picturesque train rides in the world, with stunning scenery and awe-inspiring views you can ride the rail right to the summit without any exertion needed!

Luxury self-catering holiday accommodation in North Wales
Nestled in the bear hug of the United Kingdom, North Wales is rich in history, wrapped in natural beauty and adorned with cultural bling. This land of stunning landscapes beckons you, intrepid traveller, to unravel its treasures. Please take a look at our jaw-dropping properties that will make your holiday a wonderful adventure.
North Wales’ showstopper, the Snowdonia National Park, is a playground for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts. Mount Snowdon, the VIP of the scene, towers above, overseeing the fun. Scenic trails, waterfalls that put your shower to shame and lakes are scattered across this magnificent landscape.
If history is your jam, Conwy Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a medieval masterpiece that flaunts military architecture. The town of Conwy is a living history book with cobbled streets and ancient buildings. One amazing landmark, Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, is a 19th-century engineering marvel. Imagine a soaring aqueduct, the Dee Valley below, and views that make you question if you accidentally stepped into a postcard.
The charming village of Portmeirion is a colour explosion. Designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, this place enjoys vibrant buildings, lush gardens and seaside vibes. It is like a Welsh-Italian love affair that birthed a unique destination. Bangor is not just a university town. It is where Penrhyn Castle stands tall, a neo-Norman masterpiece surrounded by gardens that put Versailles to shame. The majestic Snowdonia mountains are the backdrop, adding drama.
North Wales is a theme park for thrill-seekers. Hiking, mountain biking, water sports, it is a playground of outdoor delights. Zip World Velocity in Bethesda takes the cake with the fastest zip line globally, making you feel like Superman over dramatic landscapes.
The coastline comes up trumps too. Llandudno boasts Victorian elegance, a historic pier and a Great Orme headland with cable cars and tramways making you feel as though you have stepped into a period drama. Aberystwyth brings the seaside charm while the nearby charmer, Betws-y-Coed is the tranquil village nestled in lush woodlands, inviting you to escape the chaos.
North Wales, with its blend of natural wonders, historic landmarks and adventure galore, is a love affair waiting to happen. Pack your bags, because each step in this magical land unfolds a new chapter in a story that has been brewing for centuries.
While the image of lush valleys and a laid-back lifestyle are right at the heart of a holiday in Wales, don’t think stunning landscapes and a bit of relaxation are the only thing on offer in this beautiful country. Don’t believe us?

Best Suited For: All AgesOsprey House is perfect for large family gatherings, with activities and amenities aplenty to create a memorable trip. Endless outdoor opportunities await from staging your own tennis tournament on the court to splashing in the hot tub or ping ponging at the table tennis table. Indoors there are two living areas, allowing the playroom to be commandeered by the younger members of your group. With WiFi, Sonos Sound System, PlayStation and Smart TV with Apple TV and Sky there will be plenty of opportunities to wind down whilst the adults socialise.
Watch your children fall in love with the outdoors with the coast right on your doorstep. Whilst Borth Wen Bay provides a safe place to paddle and build sandcastles, older children will enjoy a chance to get out on the water. B-active at Rhoscolyn has an outdoor pursuits base where activities can be tailored to your group. Take kayaks out on the water or even try your hand at some adrenalin pumping coasteering around the craggy coast of Anglesey.
In the summer months Breakwater Country Park, an impressive former quarry, hosts a Model Boat Club on the pond which is popular with children. There is also the Maritime Museum on Newry Beach with the oldest lifeboat house in Wales. It has a handy bar and bistro for grabbing lunch on the go during your visit.
Further afield, the Anglesey Sea Zoo is a great place to visit with young kids, with over 40 tanks holding marine life found in British waters from seahorses to jellyfish and all in between. The charming Anglesey Model Village and Garden has a wonderful display of Anglesey landmarks and a working miniature railway that runs throughout, children can play in the self-drive railway engine or enjoy a picnic, a great way to spend the day.
