What you should know…
- Please note that the grounds of the Estate are open to the public in places, whilst the Wellness and Bistro facilities are shared with guests staying in other nearby properties. However, private activities and experiences can certainly be arranged! Please don’t hesitate to enquire.
- If you need a little more space and want to enjoy a holiday with another family, there are fifteen other cottages and houses on the estate which you might be interested in.
- Up to 2 pets are welcome at Hawks Nest on request but are subject to an additional fee. Please see T&Cs for more details.
- A stair gate, travel cot and highchair are available on request.

Kids can explore the grounds, enjoy picnics, swim in reservoirs, spot wildlife, and toast marshmallows. The wellness center welcomes families with children on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., subject to additional costs (please see the ‘Extras’ tab for more details). The nearby Yorkshire Dales offer endless outdoor fun, with family-friendly attractions like the scenic steam train ride at Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway. For a bit of history, Fountains Abbey offers historic ruins, wildlife, and a thrilling playground, while Ripon’s Lightwater Valley has rides, play areas, and the exciting Treetop Trail.
