Casa de Campo is an amazing complex featuring three excellent golf courses, a private beach and beach club, first-class dining options, as well as many other activities.
Villa Karmen offers an authentic Caribbean feel with high vaulted ceilings and inside-out living spaces decorated in cool whites and sunshiny colours against caramel woods and cool tiles. Lavish furnishings with touches of vibrant colours embrace and compliment the lush tropical surroundings and beautiful views over the Dye Fore Golf Course. Villa Karmen is a wonderful relaxing haven that feels like cocooning in spite of the expansive space.
The substantial open-style living space flawlessly opens out onto an expansive terrace with stunning views over pristine greenery and the Caribbean Sea.
The internal living space is an oasis of comfort and tranquillity. With lazy ceiling fans circulating soft sea breezes, you can relax in oversized plush sofas and chic lounging chairs framed by tropical plants and rich wooden interiors.
The dining room is a lovely large space for fabulous feasts and offers a more intimate atmosphere by seating guests between two round tables.
Decorated in warm wood with marble countertops, the sizeable kitchen is a chef’s delight with ample space and all the mod cons, alongside a large island with a breakfast bar for that casual cup of coffee.
There is a large studio and a massage room that can convert to an 8th bedroom if required.
The delightful light-flooded bedrooms are spacious sunshiny rooms with crisp linens and furnishings embracing its Caribbean heritage. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a shower as well as air conditioning, terrace access and an in-room safe. The king-sized master suite and queen-sized master suite are both immaculate and luxuriously furnished. There are two further comfortable queen-sized bedrooms in the villa, and the remaining four bedrooms each contain two full beds.
Villa Karmen is simply gorgeous outside. A bridge over shimmering ponds leads through to the house, lush tropical garden and attractive gazebo.
The beautiful covered terrace, furnished with plump sofas and comfy recliners, invites relaxation with stunning views of the pool, exotic greenery and the Caribbean Sea. The large shimmering infinity pool is framed by comfy oversized loungers, an outside dining space, swaying palm trees and manicured gardens. For something bubblier, relax in the Jacuzzi with a glass of fizz whilst overlooking the beautiful sea. Poolside is an elegant gazebo which has an attractive dining space and comfy loungers perfect for party evenings and outside fun in the sun.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa KarmenDominican Republic is one of the most diverse countries in the Caribbean and occupies the eastern two-thirds of Hispaniola, the second largest island of the Greater Antilles chain in the Caribbean Sea. Blessed with around 300 days of sunshine, this beautiful Island boasts dramatic scenery, including rainforests, mountains, mangrove lagoons, waterfalls and colonial towns, and expansive sugary sandy beaches lined with palm trees and a stunning turquoise sea. There is a distinct ‘Latino’ flavour to the Dominican Republic, and you will be hooked on the Latin rhythms of the Merengue music and dance, which is so ingrained in the Dominican culture it now boasts its own national public holiday!
Located on the Southeast side of the Dominican Republic next to the town of La Romana and just 70 miles from the capital city of Santo Domingo, Casa De Campo is one of the most exclusive destinations in the Dominican Republic, and Villa Karmen is in a fantastic spot with stunning ocean views over lush greenery.
This prestigious resort offers privacy and luxury and a plethora of world-class facilities, including three fantastic golf courses, an equestrian centre, a shooting club, a yacht club, a tennis centre, and a relaxing spa and fitness centre. You can enjoy wining and dining at top-notch restaurants and bars and enjoy the exclusive private beach (Minitas Beach), which offers all sorts of water sports. Try deep-sea fishing or sailing, or learn to paddle surf on the Caribbean Sea. The choice is endless.
The heart of the complex is the lively Marina which bustles with bars, restaurants, chic shops and stunning boats to gawp at! This is the place to see and be seen!!
Casa de Campo is widely considered one of the world’s leading golf resorts featuring three excellent golf courses designed by the renowned golf course architect Pete Dye. The world-ranked Teeth of the Dog Golf Course is the most recognized course in the Caribbean and, alongside the outstanding Dye Fore and The Links Golf Course, offers breathtaking vistas across stunning tropical landscapes towards the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Whether you are a newbie or championship level, your golfing experience will be unforgettable.
Perched high above the Chavon River and overlooking Casa De Campo is the village of Altos de Chavon. Built in 1982 as a cultural centre for the Dominican people, Altos de Chavon, replicates a Mediterranean-style village of the 16th century.|
The views are breathtaking, and you can enjoy beautiful buildings, squares, shops and cafes alongside a cultural centre, archaeological museum and roman style amphitheatre, which regularly hosts top music artists. This is a lovely place to see local artists showcase their unique creations or simply relax with a sundowner or two and enjoy the ambience of this pretty village.
For a taste of history and culture, Santo Domingo is worth visiting. The Capital City is the oldest city in the new world. It is home to the hemisphere’s first monastery, Monasterio de San Francisco and America’s oldest surviving cathedral, Santa Maria la Menor. The Zona Colonial area is rich in history and has wonderful food options. For a chance to escape the hustle of the city, head to the beautiful 3 Eyes National Park, which offers a great combination of caves, lakes and nature.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Karmen is perfect for a family holiday. The kids will absolutely love the pool, and there is oodles of space inside and out for fun and games. It’s going to be a hard task to get them to leave the villa, but when they do, they will be amazed at the number of activities on offer to them at this wonderful resort.
Kids love beaches, and Minitas Beach is the resort's very own private beach with nearly 3 miles of white-sand beach and tropical gardens. There is a designated swimming area safe for kids and a whole range of water sports available, including Kayaking, Paddleboarding and windsurfing. Something is always going on, such as treasure hunting or mini Olympics, as well as great facilities so you can pitch up and enjoy the beach for the day.
If the kiddies want to meet friends and play, the main pool area has an Olympic size pool as well as a waterfall pool, and there is a further separate Family Pool with Lifeguard on duty. Private Cabanas are available, food trucks, and a very popular ice cream shop, so you do not have to go far for even more fun in the sun.
Casa de Campo offers a vast selection of sports entertainment. Kids, seven or over, or experienced riders can try their hand at horseback riding and pony club classes. The Tennis centre is the largest in the Caribbean, offering group lessons for all levels. Kid clubs are for every age, and many family-friendly activities are happening on the resort and beach. There is even the option of a ‘Kidz Night Out’ where they have food and evening entertainment from 6 until 11 pm, and you have the evening off!
For sea adventurers, there are plenty of boat excursions available.
Catalina Island is a 6-mile square unspoilt Island around 45 minutes ride from the complex and is part of the Parque Nacional del Este, so pack your sun cream and snacks as facilities are limited. Snorkelers will love the reef teeming with sea life, whilst the little ones can enjoy the shallow clear waters and stunning white sandy beaches.
Kenavo Tropical offer a great Submarine Boat excursion perfect for families with kids. The glass bottom boat has been designed with extra-large windows for the little ones to enjoy underwater delights without getting wet, and after viewing the fish, the big kids get the chance to snorkel with the crew.
