Overview
Set within one of the Caribbean’s most exclusive and romantic resorts, Galaxy Sanctuary offers an amazing adult’s only sanctuary. Like a scene from a movie, remarkable architecture is blended into natural surroundings on Saint Lucia’s beautiful south-west coast within acres of serene grounds.
There are no separate rooms, just a huge luxury living and sleeping space that seamlessly glides into its surroundings, via a large infinity pool, through an open wall offering truly spectacular and completely private views. There is a galaxy of stargazing options to enjoy from your infinity pool, large sun deck, couples hot tub and plush comfortable king-size bed.
Extravagant and luxurious guests have access to 24-hour room service and a private butler known as a ‘Major Domas’ who can cater for your every need. Guests receive a "firefly” communication device upon arrival, allowing them to contact the service team at any time, day or night.
The resort is designed by architect Nick Troubetzkoy and is a real work of art. Built into the mountainside so you feel part of the landscape and set within 600 acres of lush tropical landscape that is boarded by two gorgeous beaches, you are perfectly positioned to enjoy a host of activities and adventures.
Set away from the main resort Galaxy Sanctuary is the largest and best-positioned Sanctuary of 29 exclusive sanctuaries designed to provide ultimate privacy and immediately feels special as you cross over your own long bridge-style walkway.
Enjoying up to 2000 square feet of space, The Sanctuary is a sweeping open plan dream with a 15ft height ceiling, open 4th wall and an incredible infinity pool that faces onto unbelievable panoramic views of the Pitons and the beautiful Caribbean Sea. This is one of the most romantic escapes in the world, and the Sanctuary is a space that guests rarely stray from.
The plush king-sized four-poster bed is decked in crisp linens and colourful throws. There are oversized recliners and plush sofas to sink into alongside an intimate dining area for romantic dinners or lazy breakfasts. All sanctuaries are furnished with hand-made pieces made from various tropical woods and feature authentic, carefully chosen ornate pieces.
Integrated into the open space, the bathroom area is reached up a few steps onto an open platform with a huge walk-in shower, double sinks and WC, as well as a huge raised couple’s whirlpool where you can indulge in bubbly fun!
Galaxy Sanctuary intentionally does not have television or radio and guests are asked to refrain from using cell phones in public areas to maintain the Sanctuary ethos however, Wi-Fi is provided, as well as an electronic in-room safe.
Sanctuary guests can enjoy access to the main resort, which is easily reached by shuttle or a 10-minute stroll. There are lots of facilities and activities available, including snorkelling, diving, sailboats, a spa, restaurants and a beautiful beachfront. A concierge is available to arrange various excursions, and St Lucia is a beautiful Island to explore.

Location
About the surrounding area of Galaxy SanctuarySt Lucia is a stunning tropical destination with luscious greenery, exotic rainforests, volcanos and beautiful powder-white beaches surrounded by turquoise seas. The St Lucian people are warm and friendly and love to party. July is Carnival season, and there is a fabulous Jazz festival held in May.
Galaxy Sanctuary is perfectly positioned within the lush 600-acre Anse Chastanet estate in south western St Lucia. The Sanctuary’s amazing elevated location with a wonderful southwest-facing aspect means it has access to one of the best views on the island, and its remarkable design means you can take in 270-degree panoramic views whilst being cocooned in a secluded tranquil oasis.
Sanctuary guests have exclusive access to the Jade Mountain Club, which has a gorgeous setting and offers exotic cuisine. The Club is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with occasional live entertainment on balmy evenings. The open rooftop terrace has terrific views of the sea and Pitons and is the perfect setting for long cool drinks and romantic dining as well as nurturing yoga sessions.
Sanctuaries are set away from the main resort, which is only a short stroll or shuttle ride away. Guests can access a host of activities, including fitness classes, chocolate tastings and guided nature walks, and there are gym and Spa facilities as well as four restaurants and a lovely beachfront with sunloungers and lots of watersports available. The resort has its own yacht and catamaran, so head to the water if you fancy a Sunset Cruise.
The town of Soufriere is only a short drive away and offers a beautiful flavour of St Lucia with many things to see.
The town was the original capital of St Lucia and is overlooked by the Pitons, two giant conical volcanic spires that rise abruptly from the sea. Soufriere is surrounded by beautiful sandy beaches, including the renowned Suger Beach, and there are some beautiful old plantation estates to explore. The Rabot Estate plantation is where Hotel Chocolat’s products begin, so chocolate lovers should try the excellent Bean to bar chocolate experience, where you create your own chocolate bar.
The Soufriere Volcano (Sulphur Springs) last erupted in the 1700s and is today is home to one of the most popular natural spas in the world. The landscape is ‘otherwordly’ with boiling mud and steam belching out, and the mud baths are very popular, although the sulphur is very smelly! Don’t worry; you can wash off under a refreshing natural waterfall.
If you want to party local style, head over to the Gros Islet Friday night street party, where crowds gravitate towards traffic-free streets set up with craft stalls and barbeques. Soca and reggae blare from huge speakers as you enjoy a rum punch or beer and decide which fish fry-up to sample. The party atmosphere continues long after sunset, with crowds dancing in the streets.

About the Island & Getting There
About St Lucia
The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.
St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.
St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.
Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).
Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!
We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!
