Overview
Saline Reef is a villa with magnificent views. It is situated high above the Caribbean Sea with panoramic views to Pigeon Island National Park and also across the Martinique Channel.
The villa has recently been extensively upgraded and refurbished; it now boasts three air-conditioned bedrooms each having en suite shower rooms. The Grand Master Bedroom (situated on the Ground Floor) has its own private balcony which has uninterrupted views to Martinique, a private furnished terrace which enjoys direct access to the pool area and views to the sanctuary of Pigeon Island. The Master Bedroom (on the upper level) has two private balconies, so that you can enjoy the sight of the crystal blue of the ocean and the exceptional views to Martinique and Pigeon Island.
There are two beautiful pool areas at the villa, these are linked by a waterfall and enjoy amazing views of the surrounding area. The larger pool is for swimming and the smaller is a shallow pool for relaxing and cooling off.
The villa has an attractive air conditioned sitting room which leads onto the outside dining area which is open sided with a covered roof and ceiling fan, giving further spectacular views to Pigeon Island; it also gives access to the covered, open patios and pool area. The separate inside dining area is linked by an open plan kitchen which is also air conditioned and has all the amenities you would expect.
For all those who travel to this island, tropical weather, glorious weather and the holiday of a lifetime truly does await. St Lucia is also a romantic paradise for couples; bask together under the Carribean Sun, sail into a champagne sunset and relax under the vast starry sky.
What you should know…
- Due to the infinity-style pool and upside-down layout, this villa is less suited to those travelling with small children
- Getting around the island can be tricky. Hire a car form Soufriere, as many of these sorts of businesses can be found in this Town
- Please note that you will need to select 6 guests should you wish to have access to all 3 bedrooms. Those selecting fewer guests will only have access to a prorated number of bedrooms based on 2 guests per room.

About the Island & Getting There
About St Lucia
The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.
St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.
St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.
Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).
Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!
We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!
Prior to Booking
Please be aware that St Lucia is an island nation that experiences weather patterns dictated by the Atlantic Ocean to the north of the island and the Caribbean Sea to the south of the island. This tropical rainforest climate results in the island experiencing a hurricane season, which usually occurs between June to November. When thinking about booking your holiday to St Lucia, please consult Foreign travel advice for more information.

Fabulous Caribbean retreat
A very well appointed property with everything you could reasonably ask for. Quiet, secluded location with stunning views, lovely housekeeper, pretty, well-kept gardens and pool area with a good selection of comfortable sitting-out areas. Excellent security. Particularly suitable for 3 adult couples. Supermarket etc. 10 easy minutes by car. All in all a truly delightful experience.

What an experience
My wife and I went for our honeymoon last year. After all the energy and time we devoted to the wedding we wanted a place of absolute tranquility and Saline Reef did not let us down. The villa is incredible. It has been beautifully decorated to a impeccable standard. The staff were faultless and attentive. And we never tired of the views out to the ocean. The entire experience was out of this world. We had the most amazing time and wouldn't hesitate to return. Highly recommend this beautiful part of the world - quite simply stunning

A Simply Stunning Villa that has it all!
The views over the Caribbean are quite superb with the added bonus of stunning sunsets in the evening. The villa provides great accommodation with en-suite bathrooms and balconies overlooking the sea and the pools are beautiful and safe. Everywhere is maintained to the highest standard. There are plenty of amenities and lovely beaches in the area and it is impossible to recommend Saline Reef too highly. We had a great holiday and can't wait to visit again. As it was said to us - "Welcome to your own piece of Paradise". What more could anyone want?
