Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CabotVilla Cabot is located in the Cap Estate, a collection of high-end, luxury properties. There are a multitude of beaches just a short drive away (around five minutes) for beach lovers as well as Rodney Bay - full of shops and restaurants - being just fifteen minutes drive away. Along with Rodney Bay is Reduit Beach which is a short walk from the Bay. This is one of the most popular beaches this side of St. Lucia and is full of Caribbean spirit. There’s entertainment for all the family, from beach bars to water inflatables.
Dive St. Lucia also offers everything you need for the adventurous amongst your group. This diving centre will show you the reefs in the area as well as many of the shipwrecks hidden to those above the water. If this doesn’t tickle your fancy, there are many sports above the water for you to partake in such as sailing and windsurfing.
With a population of just over 180,000, St. Lucia has an inclusive, community feel. And at 612 square kilometres, it is easy to explore a good portion of the island on your visit. The villa itself is located in the north of the island, near the capital city of Castries. To the east of the island is the Atlantic Ocean whilst the Caribbean Sea is to its west. The location of the Villa Cabot upon a hill means you will have panoramic views of both waters from the property. It is also perfectly situated between the east and west coasts, allowing you to experience both during your stay.
St. Lucia is renowned for its mountains and jungles leading down to palm lined beaches lapping at clear turquoise waters. The island gained independence in 1979 after years under the British Commonwealth and a history of French presence. Because of this, English is the official language of St. Lucia, meaning visitors to Villa Cabot will be able to get by and communicate effectively with locals. Because of all this, St. Lucia truly is the destination for couples, families, and those just wanting to experience the holiday of a lifetime.

About the Island & Getting There
About St Lucia
The Land, The People, The Light – St Lucia’s motto couldn’t be more representative of this captivating sovereign island nation. Witness dazzling scenery, be spellbound by the fascinating locals and allow for St Lucia to brighten your day and show you a new way to life.
St Lucia gained its independence from the British Commonwealth in 1979 and after centuries of a French presence, which is most visible today in the original Capital of Soufrière, St Lucia is famous for its Pitons & landscapes and vivacious community.
St Lucia really is a hiker’s Nirvana! Where to start? That’s a tough question. However, with the likes of - The Diamond Botanical Gardens, Enbas Saut Waterfall Trail, Pigeon Island National Park, Sulphur Springs Park Scenic Drive and Tet Paul Nature Trail – it doesn’t matter! These UNESCO listed sites are a sight to behold. If you're likely to take to the water, you'll be able to admire the rich marine biodiversity just off the shore of St Lucia. Over 60% of the marine area is made up of coral reefs and these are very poular with snorkelers and scuba divers. Just make sure you put time aside to relish these privileged land & seascapes.
Start your cultural trip downtown in Castries. Here you will be provided with more than enough entertainment for an afternoon and evening. The local Market runs throughout the week and is certainly the right place to come for exotic fruits and tantalising Street Food - the Green Fig & Salt Fish is local delicacy and it's not scarce, so perhaps try a few variants on this regional intricacy and let us know which is your favourite! The vendors are incredibly animated, so expect a show to be put on if you choose to explore this part of the island and brush up on those haggling skills. La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine are very popular Malls and if you bear in mind the added incentive of these complexes being Duty-Free, you and your guests will certainly get some good deals (A taxi back to your villa after such an excursion is suggested!).
Many holiday makers are surprised to learn of St Lucia’s rich cocoa legacy. Ever since the 1700’s this island has been producing cocoa related products, that are incredibly sought after all across the world. Morne Coubaril Estate and La Dauphine Estate specialise in showcasing how plantations use to gather & manufacture the Cocoa Bean fruit and organise educational tours. After learning all about St Lucia’s former booming cocoa industry, you will probably need some therapy…how about chocolate therapy like you’ve never encountered before? Enquire at some of the islands more renowned Spas and you’ll be able to experience the benefits of a chocolate facial and massage. Remember - Chocolate isn’t a food, it’s a medicine!
We have selected some of the most exciting villas on the island, so browse through these dreamy holiday homes and have a look at our cheeky little guide to St Lucia!

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesVilla Cabot is perfect for children, with its many en-suite bedrooms and private pool. It could be suited for a large multi-generational family, with children staying in the single beds within the property and couples staying in king-sized bedrooms. The property is secured with its gardens fenced with the only access through a remote-controlled gate, meaning children are free to run around without you having to worry. The house is also equipped with a crib and high-chair for younger children.
Villa Cabot is perfectly self-sufficient, meaning families can easily spend a whole day at the property, with children able to play in the pool, help cook a BBQ, and run around the garden. On other days, families can venture outside of the property and explore all that St. Lucia has to offer. As previously mentioned, the island’s main language is English, meaning children will feel right at home and be able to communicate with locals.
The island is perfect for children and teenagers alike, with many attractions available for families. Just a seventeen minute drive from the Villa Cabot is Splash Island Water Park, for children and those young at heart to play on inflatables at sea. From monkey bars to climbing walls with everything from a trampoline and slides in between, it’s easy to see why this became one of the must-do attractions of St. Lucia upon its opening in 2015. The park is watched by lifeguards and everyone must wear a lifejacket, meaning you can either watch them play safely, or relax on the beach with a drink in hand knowing they’re having fun whilst being safe.
For a family-filled excursion day is the Treetop Adventure Park in Dennery. This is located just over an hour’s drive from the villa but with stunning Caribbean views, this isn’t for the faint hearted. This park has a maximum elevation of 100 feet and 800 foot long rides, with it being dubbed the best zipline in the Caribbean! Children must be at least eight years old and 50inches tall to partake, making it the perfect activity for a family with older children.

What a slice of heaven
What a slice of heaven, views of the ocean and sea!! The house is even more fantastic in person. Merlinda is wonderful, she cooked breakfast every day for us, and made us salads for lunch. She made a wonderful key lime pie, as well as a cheesecake. She will also prepare dinner for you to warm up, as she leaves around 3:30. Frances and Lydia keep the house and pool immaculate. We had Terry as our driver to and from the airport, as well as small trips we made during our stay, he even delivered pizza and vodka to the house one evening. Things to note: 1. We did not take advantage of the start up groceries, but instead went over food options when we met Merlinda on our first morning. She and Frances were able to pick up our groceries which was wonderful. However please note if you are arriving from a long day of travel you may want to pick something up to eat. The house has a very open air concept, things worked best when the bedrooms remained closed after dark to avoid mosquitos and other pests. Nice breeze most of the time so that helped. Bottom line, turn on your air and close up your bedroom before nightfall.. Evenings by the pool and patio were fine, enough of a breeze to be lovely.. WE WILL DEFINETLY BE BACK!

Amazing
My group of 8 had the best experience at this Villa for my birthday. The house was clean, the views were Amazing, and the location was quiet. The Property Manager went above and beyond and helped us through some hiccups. Everyone who worked on the property were extremely accommodating and nice. The villa is in a quiet neighborhood and you can’t walk to anything except maybe the golf course but we didn’t mind. Side note that we didn’t realize until after we arrived- all plugs (in st. Lucia in general) are UK plugs, so bring converters (they have one main one in the dining room) if you need one. At night its pretty cool and you could sleep with just a fan if you wanted. Overall, this was the best vacation and already considering planning another trip!
