Great Value

If you’re looking for grandeur, opulence and elegance, Villa Bilota makes for a dream destination. If you like your holiday home more heavenly than homely, then allow beautiful Bilota to welcome you and your party.

Peaceful, private and pretty, you’ll not want to leave. The villa is stylish in a simple way that nonetheless creates a quietly dramatic sense of glamour. Sprawling across three mezzanines and nestled in perfect privacy, you’re flanked by olive and citrus trees. There’s no denying that you’re in the midst of the Mediterranean when you explore the grounds.

Villa Bilota comes fully furnished and air-conditioned to ensure that you remain cool, calm and collected during the Spring and Summer months. Bestowed with its own heated private pool placed a few steps down from the property, you may spend a great deal of time in this area – it’s very much a hub ideal for socialising and unwinding. It also contains a shallower area where you can indulge in a hydro massage. The water itself is filtered using a no-Chlorine system making it the safest for your group. Sun worshippers can also enjoy the sun deck area which is comprised of eight deck chairs across two levels and an outdoor shower for quick cool downs or washing off the pool.

You’re in close proximity to the beach, numerous local restaurants brimming with Croatian fare and plentiful shops, as well as the local town of Trogir, which is renowned as a UNESCO world heritage site brimming with history and culture, allowing full immersion into the local way of life.

This property is ideal for gatherings – you have a fully covered outdoor dining area should the weather take a turn or require shade that is perfectly suited to ten people. You can make use of the traditional barbeque to conjure delectable dishes and relax in the lounge corner, which you can access from the living and dining areas. To ensure your safety, security and peace of mind, the villa is monitored by a security camera and recording device that captures video, audio and photos of the outdoor areas.

The ground floor area of the property is where you’ll find a delightful kitchen island and seating area where you can enjoy picturesque views of the brilliant blue beyond your window. You’ll be able to make use of all the amenities you require, including a toaster, kettle, microwave oven and coffee machine. Decked out in white and grey with wooden surfaces, this space has a real sense of warmth and intimacy whilst you enjoy quality time preparing and enjoying meals together. Adorned with perfectly placed plants, there’s also a sense of bringing the outside inside and with the gentle glow of the antique-style hanging lights, you can enjoy a romantic feel in the evenings.

The dining area is one of our favourite rooms of the house, thanks to its soothing fireplace (especially appreciated during autumn and winter) and terrace, which connects to an outdoor dining area and those sensational sea views. It’s a simple room with little touches of grandeur, including opulent stonework.

A few steps below is the living area, complete with a sofa (which can be converted into a bed), a flat-screen TV complete with Netflix and a PS4 for the gamers of the family. The fact that the two areas are interconnected means the adults can dine and drink whilst the children play whilst still maintaining a sense of connectedness. With vibrant pops of green and yellow, this room has a sense of pleasant playfulness.

You can access an outdoor lounge and dining area from the living room via a glass door. Here you can also find a separate toilet and laundry area complete with the necessary amenities. Cosy and quaint, this is a sanctuary for those seeking some space.

Here you’ll also find the first bedroom with a queen size bed, air conditioning, a TV, balcony positioned with two chairs and views of both the sea and pool. A second bedroom shows off the sea views whilst a third flaunts the surrounding garden and neighbourhood. You’ll also find a family bathroom with a bathtub and shower.

As you move to the lower ground floor, you’ll be able to access an anteroom plumped with sofas for relaxation. But there’s so much more. One of our favourite features of this property is the Finnish sauna and Hot-Tub (which also gives you a view of the pool.) This is a blissful space for those who want to truly leave the cares of the world behind. You’ll also be able to locate bedroom four which has views of the parking lot and lush garden.

Villa Bilota has a comforting and intimate feel, an atmosphere that encourages relaxation and calm, and an exquisite sense of dialled-down drama for those who like a tiny touch of decadence. A beautiful property for families, we hope you enjoy the modern convenience, captivating and traditional views and built-in tranquillity.

What you should know…

  • In the more rural areas, English is not widely spoken. Be prepared with a phrasebook, translation app or a few handy phrases.
  • Although safety is at the forefront of the design of the property, it’s crucial to monitor children particularly around the pool and on the balconies.
  • Bring some cash with you so you can make a purchase in the more rural or off the beaten track areas. Part of the old-world charm of the area is not everywhere takes card!

Located in the Okrug Gornji area on the island of Ciovo, a bridge connects you to the well-known town of Trogir, which is notorious for its many historical and cultural attractions, as well as for being a UNESCO site. It’s a very walkable area allowing you to truly get involved in the life’s of the locals. You can walk to mini markets, the beautiful beach, enjoy plentiful water sports and many restaurants and bars, and there’s also opportunities for gentle massages. To access Trogir you can use a local bus or a boat that leaves every hour.

Trogir is known for its beaches and its most famous and popular beach is situated close to the villa in Okrug Gornji. It’s a pebbled beach with an easy stretch of cafes, bars, ice cream parlours and restaurants making it ideal for whiling away a day in the sunshine. Trogir is special for many reasons, one being that it’s essentially a living museum capturing the local way of life and a wonderful way to truly know the area, perfect for those who prefer a more immersive experience. Here you can find poetically romantic courtyards, many cultural and historical monuments which highlight the beautiful past of the area, gorgeous art and original architecture.

Kamerlengo Castle is a historic fortress with spellbinding views, and Cipiko Palace from the Gothic era is well worth an explore. We’d really recommend walking around and soaking up as much of the spirit of the area as you can. Another wonderful must-see option is Split, one of the most visited areas alongside Dubrovnik. Visit the promenade to take in the sights and sounds of the people and spend some time visiting the mighty Diocletian Palace and the areas UNESCO-protected Old Town. Fortress Klis makes for a formidable adventure. Or you can head to Plitvice Lakes National Park for striking lakes interlinked with waterfalls. The Green Market is a great spot to grab some local produce to bring back for dinner, or you can stop by Luka Ice Cream and Cakes for a sugary sweet treat. An hour's drive further on, you’ll find the Krka waterfalls. You can also raise your adrenaline levels with sports in Ciovo, including a quad bike tour or a ride on a jet ski. For those who want something gentler but equally memorable, there are many pleasant walking trails to try.

You can enjoy a sail on the Adriatic from your villa with your own skipper if required or take a boat tour to the Dalmatian coast and its many islands. Croatia has something to offer those of all tastes and talents so get ready to explore and make the most of your adventure as a family.

There’s a great deal to enjoy as a family here. Croatia is very family friendly and beats with a warm and welcoming heart. Your villa is ideal for your time together as a family and has much to offer, including privacy, beautiful views of the sea and surrounding gardens and all of the convenience and comfort you require.

With its own heated private pool, hydro massage area and no-Chlorine filtration system, the area is very popular with children as you might well imagine! With a sun deck area nearby and an outdoor shower, it’s also a great place to congregate together whether you’re swimming, playing, reading, eating or just enjoying each other’s company.

You’re very close to the beach as well as shops and restaurants so head out for a walk, a swim or a meal – there’s plenty on offer. Once you get back to the villa, enjoy some outdoor shaded dining, get the barbeque fired up for a traditional meal and chill and relax in the lounge. If monitored, children can also enjoy the sauna and hot tub, pitch up by the fireplace during the colder seasons and watch some TV or play some PS4.

In terms of the surrounding area, you’re very much in your own little haven here. Based in Okrug Gornji on the island of Ciovo, you can easily head to Trogir over the connecting bridge. Your local area is one of markets, beaches, restaurants and bars but make sure you head over to Trogir for a true taste of the old world. Fancy a beach trip, an ice cream or a jaunt into an old church or museum? Trogir is the place to do just that. It’s a great way to introduce younger members of the family to the culture and history of the area. They may especially like some of the more formidable sites such as Kamerlengo Castle and the Cipiko Palace.

You’re not far from Split which is a wonderful place to explore and one of Croatia’s most visited parts. There are grand sights to see, such as the Diocletian Palace, and also more humbling but equally beautiful areas such as the UNESCO preserved Old Town which offers a true taste of what the city was before modernity strode in.

Nearby there are some wonderful opportunities to explore the unique nature of the area. You might wish to explore Plitvice Lakes National Park or the Krka waterfalls. Ciovo should be your stop if you’d like to explore on foot, by jet ski or via quad bike.
A truly one-of-a-kind experience to try as a family is a sailing trip on the Adriatic Sea. The area is so astonishingly beautiful and seeing it by water comes utterly recommended.

  • Strongly recommend!

    on 24/09/2023

The villa was wonderful, exceeded expectations from the photos, we were a family of seven and so much room with a very modern touch - our host was very accommodating with us arriving early and we did manage to get in before the check in time. The outside area was fantastic, pool and outdoor seating lovely and spacious. A small walk to the restaurants and a great base to explore all other islands etc. We hope to visit again and stay in the villa - strongly recommend the villa to anyone visiting the area.
