Pool Villa/House Modern Ideal for Kids Walk to Beach

Nestled on the hills above the charming, sleepy village on Gromin Dolac, Villa Reginetta allows you to get away from it all, to enjoy the smells of dense pine forests, to listen to the songs of crickets and birds and to enjoy the fabulous sea views and sunsets from your very own idyllic retreat. Surrounded by the calm beauty of nature, this characterful villa has been beautifully restored to offer contemporary, luxurious comfort and appeal. With 3 gorgeous bedrooms, Villa Reginetta sleeps 6 guests very comfortably though there is an extra single bed and a sofa bed that you could use to increase the numbers.

Gromin Dolac is located on the south coast of Hvar, just along from the village of Zavala, 12km from Jelsa and 40km from Hvar Town. The village features delightful stone houses, some dating back to the 17th century and originally built as strongholds against pirates and some beautiful coves below the village. Villa Reginetta is just 200 metres from the beach.

The restoration of Villa Reginetta is very impressive. The living space is open plan with a contemporary, glossy blue kitchen, a lovely dining area and a lounge area with a large television. Modern doors open to a fabulous terrace with a gorgeous alfresco lounge area, alfresco dining and a high bistro table and stools. The views are magnificent. Though the interior of the villa is lovely, you will definitely be spending most of your time outside. You can enjoy pre-dinner drinks watching the sky change into varying shades of pink, orange and purple at sunset. The terrace leads round to the fabulous swimming pool and sun deck. The whole area is very attractive with beautiful stone walls and floors, deluxe sun loungers and the most incredible views. Further away from this terrace, you will find the built-in barbecue and another, covered rustic alfresco dining area. It is utterly charming with a terracotta floor, a pitched wooden roof and fabulous planting all around. The whole plot is brimming with ancient olive trees and mature plants. You can easily find a quiet terrace to enjoy your holiday read in peace.

On the lower level of the villa, you have some treats in store with a sauna and a very well-equipped gym. One of the double bedrooms is located on the main living floor with a double bed and space for the single. The remaining two havens are upstairs enjoying pretty vaulted, beamed ceilings and stunning views. The brilliant white walls are decorated with attractive art. Both bedrooms boast fabulous double beds. The villa enjoys three exquisite, contemporary bathrooms, all with top notch showers and gorgeous tiles.

Villa Reginetta is a fabulous blend of charming rusticity meeting contemporary design to magical effect. You cannot go wrong here!

The beautiful island of Hvar enjoys two parts, the fashionable, high octane, party part centred around the town of Hvar and the historical, nature part located on the slopes of the Stari Grad Plain called Hora or Ager.

The sleepy, tranquil village of Gromin Dolac is located east of the village of Zavala, approximately 100 metres above sea level. It is a pretty village with authentic architecture and much greenery. The village is a delightful blend of stone houses surrounding an imposing tower, a fragrant blend of Mediterranean herbs and trees and pretty pebbled beaches surrounded by crystal clear sea. Just above Gromin Dolac is the ancient Grapceva cave with its two chambers and beautiful stalagmites and stalactites.

For shopping, the best place to go is Jelsa. Zavala does have a few bars, cafes, restaurants and basic shops but Jelsa is much bigger. Jelsa is the tourist center on the north shore of the island. With its fragrant dense pine forest, wonderful sandy beaches, numerous vineyards, historic cultural landmarks and good range of shops and gourmet restaurants, Jelsa a fabulous place to visit. Vitarnja Beach is a delightful, beautiful cove near Jelsa.

Hvar Town is roughly 45 minutes away in the car. It is the vibrant heart of Hvar Island. Its riva esplanade and harbour is totally captivating. Hvar has gained a reputation as one of Croatia’s trendiest destinations with the town itself becoming a celebrity hot-spot. Visitors flock to the town in the summer, visiting the beaches by day and partying into the night. The town also enjoys many historic buildings including its wondrous medieval castle above the town, its 15th century monastery and its baroque cathedral. There are some lovely unique shops where you can buy souvenirs.

The UNESCO Heritage site of Stari Grad Plain, a cultural landscape dating back to the 4th century BC is perfect for cycling, smelling the magnificent lavender fields, enjoying the countryside landscapes and exploring the quaint, charming villages. The pretty town of Vrboska has the nickname Little Venice with its sweet little bridges over the narrow fjord. Humac is a 16th century village without electricity set upon a hilltop on the remote and beautiful south coast.

Region

The island of Hvar stands out as one of Croatia's most enchanting destinations - a picturesque paradise that seamlessly combines natural beauty, historical charm and a lively cultural scene. The sun-drenched island’s stunning landscapes provide a picture-perfect backdrop to a whole wealth of
unforgettable experiences.

At the heart of the island is the port town of Hvar, a historic gem known for its well-preserved architecture and timeless allure. Take a wander through the traffic-free labyrinth of narrow streets, where you can soak up the charm of the island. The central square of Hvar Town is a bustling hub surrounded by centuries-old buildings and lively cafes - it’s a popular spot to enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine from one of the many cafes and restaurants. The square is also home to the imposing St. Stephen's Cathedral, a beautiful example of Dalmatian Renaissance architecture.

Overlooking the town is the Hvar Fortress, a medieval citadel with a history dating back to the 13th century. The fortress is worthy of a visit for the epic panoramic views that stretch across the town and the Adriatic Sea. The ascent is especially rewarding it at sunset, when you can watch the town's
lights sparkle below.

Heading inland just a few kilometres from Hvar Town, the village of Velo Grablje is famous for its lavender fields. Visit during the summer and you'll be treated to the sight and scent of the vast fields in full bloom. The island is also celebrated for its vineyards and olive groves, producing some of Croatia's best wines and olive oils. Many wineries and oil mills offer tastings and tours, allowing
you to sample these local delights while learning about traditional production methods.

Just a short boat ride from the harbour of Hvar are the Pakleni Islands, a group of islets renowned for their pristine beaches, hidden coves, and emerald sea. The idyllic surroundings offer a tranquil escape from the bustle of the main island, making it a favoured day trip destination. Explore hidden
bays, discover secluded beaches, and enjoy water sports in this unspoiled paradise. The uninhabited resort of Palmižana on the island of Sveti Clement is a particular highlight - a hidden oasis known for its lush botanical gardens and crystal-clear water.

For outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers, Hvar's natural beauty provides a picturesque playground. Hvar offers numerous cycling trails for both beginners and experienced riders. The island's diverse terrain is ideal for exploring the charming villages, olive groves, and vineyards on two wheels. Or for a unique perspective of the islands scenic beauty, you can experience the Adriatic up close and paddle along the dramatic coastline in a kayak, discovering coves and sea caves.

Hvar, is a Mediterranean paradise that promises an array of unforgettable experiences. Whether you're wandering through the historic streets of Hvar Town, discovering hidden coves on the Pakleni Islands, or savouring local wines and delicacies, the island offers a blend of cultural exploration, natural beauty, and relaxation that's hard to match.
