Escape to paradise, with lush greenery, sea breezes and a home that boasts beautiful Italian influence.

This influence is felt as you step into the home, with dark wooden furniture and exposed brick walls. The house is cosy and homely, while also offering plenty of space for everyone. Beautiful adorns the wall, and there are unique touches like the grandfather clock.

This villa can accommodate up to 16 guests and has seven bedrooms and five bathrooms - all of which are cosy, spacious and perfect for winding down in after a long day exploring, or relaxing by the pool.

The living areas of this villa offer everything you Newark relax and unwind. The fully-equipped kitchen makes meal prep easy with homely touches like a dishwasher and a coffee machine.

As delicious meals are prepared, and memories are made, people can sit around the main dining table chatting with the chef and lending a helping hand. There’s also a smaller table available in the living room for romantic meals for two or as the designated kid's table.

Unsurprisingly, the outdoor setup takes full advantage of the beautiful space. A private pool sits front and centre, catching the rays through the day and making for the perfect spot for a daily dip, the sun chairs the surround the pool offer optimal sun enjoyment - safe splash distance from the pool.

If you fancy a moment of solitude, escape to the hammock in the garden which is perfectly shaded and the perfect spot for a cuppa and a good book.

The outdoor dining area is ideal for preparing and enjoying alfresco meals boasting local cuisine such as olives and truffles, all while stargazing, of course.

Istria is the perfect getaway, with beautiful waters to stunning rolling hills with villages atop. It’s a picturesque holiday spot for the whole family. This location is becoming increasingly popular as people flock to this Croatian beauty that is a little less busy than some of its counterparts, but equally as stunning.

Of course, the weather is a pleasant change from grey, grey and more grey, with a Mediterranean climate in the Western and Southern coasts to a more continental climate in the centre.

Istria offers something for everyone, from history-buffs, foodie-fiends and sun-seekers. The area is known for delicacies such as olives, truffles and exciting wines. The drops of vino are so tasty; it’s been dubbed the ‘new Tuscany’.

There is more to do here than eat, of course, from the Pula Arena, a Roman amphitheatre, to Lim, a scenic channel that has to be experienced by boat.

This villa is located in Central Istria, a place with dreamy nature sites and medieval towns with narrow alleys and unique towns. There are loads of shops selling local products, such as wines, honey, olive oil, truffles and grappa.

There’s plenty to do in the area, from visiting said wineries to exploring beaches and the countryside. You are also close to many other areas, filled with amazing things to do and see.

Region

Nestled along Croatia’s enchanting Adriatic coastline, Istria welcomes visitors with open arms and a rich tapestry of experiences waiting to be unraveled. Whether you're seeking adventure in nature, indulgence in culinary delights, a glimpse into history and culture, or simply a warm and inviting atmosphere, the peninsula of Istria has it all.

Istria's diverse and unspoiled landscapes will be the first thing to capture your attention! The region is renowned for its lush green hills, rolling vineyards, and enchanting coastline: the stunning scenery is a playground for nature enthusiasts, hikers, and beachgoers alike.

Offering a remarkable 445 kilometres of pristine coastline, including tranquil coves and sandy beaches, visitors can find plenty of secluded spots to soak up the sun. The clear, azure waters of the Adriatic are perfect for swimming, snorkelling, and scuba diving, making it a fantastic choice for those who enjoy an active day of water sports.

Venture inland and you'll discover picturesque villages set amidst rolling hills and verdant forests. Istria is home to over 30 nature reserves - an absolute haven for hikers and cyclists, with an abundance of well-marked trails to explore. The Učka Nature Park, in particular, stands out as a hiking and nature lover's paradise, offering waterfalls, historic villages, and breathtaking panoramic views of Istria's outstanding scenery.

Istria's rich history is woven into the fabric of its towns and cities. An ever popular choice for tourists is the impressive port city of Pula, full of quaint town squares and local restaurants, and home to one of the most well-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. This ancient arena, known as the Pula Arena, is a testament to Istria's Roman heritage and hosts numerous events, including concerts and film festivals.

The medieval towns of Rovinj and Motovun enchant visitors with their cobbled streets and historic charm. The Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a stunning example of early Christian art and architecture.

Istria's culinary scene is a treat for the taste buds: the region is famous for its truffles, particularly the elusive white truffle, and you can savour dishes infused with this prized delicacy in charming local restaurants across the region. Wine and olive oil lovers will find joy in Istria's vineyards and olive groves, offering tastings and insights into traditional production methods. Fresh seafood, often served with a Mediterranean twist, is a staple that you can enjoy at quaint waterfront eateries along the coastline.

One of the most enduring memories visitors take away from Istria is the warmth of its people. The locals are known for their friendly, welcoming nature and their willingness to share their traditions and stories with tourists. You'll find yourself immersed in the local way of life, whether you're exploring ancient towns or enjoying a meal in a family-run tavern.

Istria is easily accessible, with Pula Airport serving as a major gateway. Once you arrive, navigating the region is a breeze with well-maintained roads connecting major towns and villages. Language barriers are minimal, thanks to the widespread use of English, Italian, and German, alongside the local Croatian language.

Istria’s unique blend of pristine landscapes, rich traditions, and warm-hearted locals creates an experience that will linger in your memories long after you've returned home.

Kids

Best Suited For: All Ages
Ideal for Kids Ideal for Teens

Travelling with kids can be stressful; extra baggage, many more plans that need to be made and the need for entertainment.

A villa can be the ideal solution for this, offering a place to keep some sort of routine, home-touches that make life that bit easier and, if you’re lucky, a home away from home with a private pool and a yard to run around.

This villa has both, and it doesn’t do anything by halves. The private pool is perfect for swimming in from dusk till dawn, till fingers and toes prune or until their hunger drives them home – whichever comes first.

Games of football can be played around the yard, and there’s plenty of space for a game or ten of hide and seek and tag – in other words, little legs will be tired out and ready for movie night in the large, cosy lounge.

There are small touches that also make life a little easier such as a washing machine, bathtub, dishwasher and satellite television.

There’s plenty to do nearby, whether it’s roaming the medieval streets and telling tales of the history of each small village, or enjoying beautiful beaches or maybe it’s being brave at the amusement park, perfect for thrill seekers of all ages.

In Pula, there are some great kid-friendly activities, from the Aquarium to a game and entertainment centre, Peekaboo, to a castle and the gates of Hercules.
