Surrounded by peace and tranquillity you will wake to choruses of bird songs. See the mountains change colour with the movement of the sun, glowing amber as the sun descends. Sveti Jure is a mountain park north of the villa, and offers a paved road suitable for cycling and hiking to the summit chapel. The views from the top are staggering as the Adriatic sea and coastline spread out before you.
Casa Eda is a mere nine km from the sea, the closest port town being Omiš. Here the mountains meet the shoreline, creating an impressive rocky coast with a range of pebble and sandy beaches. The beautiful sandy beach in Duće is only 10 km away and perfect for enjoying the cooling sea waters.
Omiš is also home to the adventure you’ve been waiting for. See Croatia like never before on a ziplining adventure. Despite this rural setting, you are only sixteen miles south of the beloved city of Split. With bricked architecture that dates back nearly two thousand years ago, you can immerse yourself in the rich history of this city. See how the people of Split have reclaimed a Roman Emperors’ home when visiting Diocletian’s Palace. Surrounded by high columns, detailed entrances and imposing arches you can immerse yourself in the past while exploring a host of shops, bars and cafes that now reside within its walls. It’s not difficult to find either as its walls are integrated into the narrow streets of the old town, merging the palace into the rest of the city. The alleys create a maze into the past, with detailed bricked architecture withstanding all that has come after its erection, you can immerse yourself in the rich history of this city.
The Adriatic Sea is a cooling break from the Croatian sunshine. Dance and swim in the shallows of the cooling waters or enjoy the rays from the shore of several beaches along the coast. There are peddle boat rentals available if you wanted to take a spin on the waters, or delve deeper and bring snorkels to see the colours and home of the creatures who live below the surface. For the more adventurous ones, there are many water sports activities dotted along the coast including water skiing, parasailing, scuba diving and boat trips.
Island hopping is a great way to spend a day submersing yourself in the uniqueness of the Adriatic coast. Neighbouring islands of Brač, Vis and Korčula are filled with hidden coves, white sandy beaches, fishing villages and ancient woodland, and are easily accessible for a day’s adventure via ferry from Split.

Region
The Dalmatian coast is a veritable treasure trove of stunning landscapes and historic towns, and Omis, situated halfway between the famous port city of Split and the energetic town of Maksarka, is no exception. With its rich history, scenic backdrop, and a plethora of attractions, Omis stands out as a unique and captivating destination for those seeking to explore the charm of Croatia. The town's history is deeply intertwined with its dramatic geographical setting, which is dominated by the imposing Cetina River Canyon and the Mosor Mountain Range.
The old town of Omis, with its narrow cobblestone streets and stone houses, is a place where history and culture converge. It’s a charming place to explore on foot and soak up the local way of life. There are a number of historic churches that you’ll come across while exploring - the Church of St. Michael, the Church of St. Peter, and the Church of St. Rocco, which all showcase intricate architectural details and a sense of reverence. The old town is also home to an abundance of restaurants, cafes, and local shops, it’s an excellent spot to savour authentic Croatian dishes and find unique souvenirs.
One of the most prominent historical attractions in the town is the Mirabella Fortress, often called Peovica. Perched high on a rocky outcrop, this fortress was built during the 13th century and was used as a hideout by the notorious Omis pirates who terrorised the Adriatic Sea. Today, visitors can climb up the steep path to the fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the town, the coast, and the surrounding landscapes.
Omis boasts a pristine stretch of coastline with a variety of beaches, each catering to different tastes. One of the most popular is the sandy beach at the mouth of the Cetina River, offering calm waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Adventurous spirits may prefer the pebbly beach of Brzet, known for its perfect conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Just a short drive from Omis, there's the small village of Stanici, which is renowned for its unspoiled beaches and crystal-clear waters. It's a serene place to relax and escape the crowds often found in more touristy locations.
The Cetina River is a defining feature of Omis, and one of the most exhilarating activities here is to take a rafting excursion along its emerald waters. The river cuts through the impressive Cetina Canyon, creating a thrilling white-water rafting experience that appeals to adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. The journey offers panoramic views of the rugged cliffs, lush forests, and the charming villages that dot the landscape.
The nearby Biokovo Nature Park is an outstanding natural attraction. The Biokovo Mountain Range, part of the Dinaric Alps, offers incredible hiking opportunities, with well-marked trails leading to panoramic viewpoints where you can marvel at the Adriatic Sea and the islands scattered along the coast. The juxtaposition of the rugged mountain terrain and the azure waters is simply stunning and will leave a lasting impression.
The history, natural beauty, and cultural vitality of Omis combine to create a destination that is rich in character and charm. Whether you're seeking adventure on the Cetina River, exploring the medieval fortresses, or simply savouring the local cuisine, Omis has something to offer every traveller who ventures to this utterly enchanting corner of the Dalmatian coast.

Excellent
Together with friends we were looking for a beautiful luxury villa with a swimming pool, jacuzzi, several bathrooms and preferably also a table tennis table. So that after a period of hard work we can relax and enjoy ourselves in one place. Casa Eda has it all, and even more than we actually asked for. We were welcomed and surprised by the owners Tea and Filip and their lovely children. During the holidays I was able to ask all my questions to Tea via whatsapp. She is really a very sweet and service-oriented woman who is ready to help you any time of the day. She even made reservations for us for a boat trip, for example, or she could tell us where we could do a COVID rapid test before the return trip. They also brought a cake for our friend's birthday. We really enjoyed this beautiful villa very much. Nicely decorated, very clean, and has everything you need.

Awesome stay!!
The Villa was absolutely a dream!!! It is really clean, modern and looks exactly like on the photos. A special thanks goes to Tea and her husband, the owner of the villa. Tea was a great host, very friendly, helpful and open-minded. Only a few things can be improved: - the automatic pool waterfall and geyser does not make sense as it often goes on when you are not in the water - the Internet only works in the ground floor and as it is mentioned in the description you really NEED a car because the village itself is very small and does not offer a lot. All in all we had an awesome stay and I can absolutely recommend the Casa Eda!

Truly amazing!!
A true "royal" stay at this amazing place called Casa Eda. A real paradise and the world's best host. Upon arrival the host couple was amazing. We were the first guests and we have been treated like royalty. The owners have helped us find local stores, places and restaurants. The owners wife made us reservations and we communicated in a group chat on WhatsApp. At any time of the day they were available to us. The also own and run two amazing restaurants down at the river in Omis. We loved eating there. As their guests, we always had a table in prime location. And special prepared food. One time the owner made us a special meal that took almost 3 hours to prepare. It was a slow roasted (over open coal) octopus with potatoes. Amazing. The house itself has everything you can ask for. The kids were surprised about the PS4 and the awesome games. The house was stacked with any household item you can think of!
Don't miss out! Reserve now and get a full refund if you change your mind within 48hrs.
