Stunning Villa Dinara offers fine views of Croatia’s attractive Dalmatian Coast. Located close to a pretty pebble beach in Mimice, this contemporary villa features an irresistible waterfront terrace and pool.
Lined with a large glass wall, the living area leads directly to the sun deck with the ocean beyond, where you can sit or lounge for hours admiring the Adriatic Sea. Step inside and you will find a dining area for six, and a fully equipped modern kitchen including a dishwasher, coffee machine and all the cookware you could need.
Villa V has three bedrooms, two of which are upstairs and have their own terrace with furniture. All three bedrooms have an en-suite and double bed, making this villa perfect for up to six guests.
A notable design feature of Villa Dinara is the use of glass walls to reveal its backdrop of rugged cliffs – this eye-catching view can be enjoyed from the kitchen and living area, and contrasts effectively with the newly built modern interior.
Mimice is a pretty coastal village located close to the towering Dinara mountain which borders Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. A relaxing place, it is known for two popular beaches with quiet bars and restaurants nearby, and offers great opportunities for water-sports such as water-skiing, canoeing and surfing. On-land activities including climbing, cycling and golf are also popular, and the region’s stunning scenery only makes them all the more pleasurable.
Larger towns Omiš and Makarska make for great excursions in opposite directions further along the coast, offering the opportunity to discover more about Croatia’s rich history and heritage. Omiš is packed with restaurants and hosts regular cultural events, while the popular Riviera town of Makarska, at the foot of Biokovo mountain, is known for its picturesque waterfront and beautiful natural surroundings.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa DinaraMimice is a quiet village on Croatia’s Dalmatian coast, the perfect place for a serene getaway. Just 12km from the larger town of Omiš, it has incredible gravel and sandy beaches and enjoys its proximity to the mountainous region of Dinara.
The chilled-out atmosphere of Mimice makes it a real pleasure to linger around its historic Old Town, which dates back more than three centuries. You will find a small number of bars and taverns both here and by the beaches, which offer freshly cooked fish and other traditional Croatian dishes, as well as locally produced wine.
The peace and quiet is perhaps Mimice’s greatest attraction; you won’t find huge crowds and lots of traffic. If you head to Omiš, on the Cetina River, you will have the opportunity to go rafting, scuba-diving or simply learn more about the town’s pirate history. Many cultural events present the area’s theatrical or musical traditions, such as the Festival of Dalmatian Klapas, while the choice of restaurants will give you plenty to discover too. The country’s second-largest city, Split, is around an hour’s drive from Mimice.

Region
The Dalmatian coast is a veritable treasure trove of stunning landscapes and historic towns, and Omis, situated halfway between the famous port city of Split and the energetic town of Maksarka, is no exception. With its rich history, scenic backdrop, and a plethora of attractions, Omis stands out as a unique and captivating destination for those seeking to explore the charm of Croatia. The town's history is deeply intertwined with its dramatic geographical setting, which is dominated by the imposing Cetina River Canyon and the Mosor Mountain Range.
The old town of Omis, with its narrow cobblestone streets and stone houses, is a place where history and culture converge. It’s a charming place to explore on foot and soak up the local way of life. There are a number of historic churches that you’ll come across while exploring - the Church of St. Michael, the Church of St. Peter, and the Church of St. Rocco, which all showcase intricate architectural details and a sense of reverence. The old town is also home to an abundance of restaurants, cafes, and local shops, it’s an excellent spot to savour authentic Croatian dishes and find unique souvenirs.
One of the most prominent historical attractions in the town is the Mirabella Fortress, often called Peovica. Perched high on a rocky outcrop, this fortress was built during the 13th century and was used as a hideout by the notorious Omis pirates who terrorised the Adriatic Sea. Today, visitors can climb up the steep path to the fortress and enjoy panoramic views of the town, the coast, and the surrounding landscapes.
Omis boasts a pristine stretch of coastline with a variety of beaches, each catering to different tastes. One of the most popular is the sandy beach at the mouth of the Cetina River, offering calm waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing. Adventurous spirits may prefer the pebbly beach of Brzet, known for its perfect conditions for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Just a short drive from Omis, there's the small village of Stanici, which is renowned for its unspoiled beaches and crystal-clear waters. It's a serene place to relax and escape the crowds often found in more touristy locations.
The Cetina River is a defining feature of Omis, and one of the most exhilarating activities here is to take a rafting excursion along its emerald waters. The river cuts through the impressive Cetina Canyon, creating a thrilling white-water rafting experience that appeals to adventure seekers and nature lovers alike. The journey offers panoramic views of the rugged cliffs, lush forests, and the charming villages that dot the landscape.
The nearby Biokovo Nature Park is an outstanding natural attraction. The Biokovo Mountain Range, part of the Dinaric Alps, offers incredible hiking opportunities, with well-marked trails leading to panoramic viewpoints where you can marvel at the Adriatic Sea and the islands scattered along the coast. The juxtaposition of the rugged mountain terrain and the azure waters is simply stunning and will leave a lasting impression.
The history, natural beauty, and cultural vitality of Omis combine to create a destination that is rich in character and charm. Whether you're seeking adventure on the Cetina River, exploring the medieval fortresses, or simply savouring the local cuisine, Omis has something to offer every traveller who ventures to this utterly enchanting corner of the Dalmatian coast.

Truly outstanding!
This villa is truly outstanding, perfectly designed to maximise the breath taking sea view. The interior is immaculately clean, beautifully furnished, stylish, and comfortable! The property is so well equipped and spacious, and the hosts are wonderful, helpful, and so welcoming. We enjoyed eating in, buying great food and wine from the local supermarket down the hill and the fruit and veg stall next to it. We loved the fish restaurant in the middle of the village, the one on the sea front and Bastion in Omis. We also booked a rafting experience with Lukas rafting, this was also a highlight of the trip for us. We are delighted with our choice and would thoroughly recommend the villa.

Great location!
As stated, the villa is beautiful and in a great location at the top of a nice not touristy village. It is stylish and comfortable. The pool was always lovely and cool despite the heatwave. The owners were helpful and responsive to queries. It is a very peaceful spot. There is a small supermarket down a (steep) hill. There are several lovely little stony beaches (all are stony in this area) across the road and down another hill with cafes and a couple of restaurants. There are bigger beaches along the main road. There is one basic fish restaurant in the village that is 5 mins walk away (but 10mins back up!) If cooking for yourself the kitchen is basic but adequate and there is an outdoor barbecue. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

Great Villa
Great Villa if a little remote from bars/restaurants. Luckily we had a car but if you didn't you would be a bit stuck. Views were stunning, pool lovely and clear and villa very well presented.
