Villa June enjoys a fabulous location in the Makarska hinterland with views of the stunning, dramatic Biokovo mountain from every corner of the property. It offers complete privacy and total tranquillity. In Zadvarje village, you will find charming restaurants, a bakery, butchery, coffee bars and shops. The hundred-year-old local products fair is held every Tuesday just 2km from the villa. Both Makarska and Omis are roughly half an hour away, and the beaches of Brela are about fifteen minutes away.

Guests that enjoy outdoor activities could not pick better than this fantastic location with the Cetina River and the Biokovo on the doorstep. The villa is just 1 km from the western entrance of the Biokovo Natural Park, where you can enjoy the new Skywalk Biokovo attraction. This horseshoe-shaped glass walkway juts out over a precipitous slope opening towards the coast. The views are breathtaking. Visitors enjoy rafting, hiking, jeep safaris, canyoning, canoeing and biking when staying at Villa June. Rafting and canoe safaris take place 20 minutes north of Zadvarje on a wide and shallow part of the canyon with rapids, while extreme canyoning tours start just 5 minutes from the village. River tubing takes place there, too, just below the Small Gubavica waterfall. You can also challenge yourselves on the incredible zipline that crosses the canyon 150 metres off the ground. For something more sedate, you can paddle down the pretty river in canoes or kayaks, enjoying the breathtaking natural scenery and perhaps a picnic by the side of the river. Starting at Pensici and finishing at Radmanove Mlinice, you can have a day to remember family white water rafting. On a paragliding trip, you can also soar high above the river and town from Imber. There is rock climbing just a 10-minute walk from Zadvarje or near Brela.

The small town of Imotski is a 30-minute drive away with its famous Blue and Red lakes. You can visit the town at the same time as padding in canoes through the Vrljika River that flows close by.

The beaches of Brela enjoy an underground water source at Vrulja Bay. The uniqueness of Brela lies in its calmness, and everyone is incredibly relaxed with no disturbing sounds, no hurry, just simple beauty. Nearby, Baska Voda is a delightful resort with a pretty promenade lined with restaurants and shops and a stunning beach. It is small and peaceful with a port and a famous beach. Once a humble fishing village, its beach, pine woods and lovely setting have made it a favourite with families. The nearby lovely villages of Bast and Topic, known for their artisanal cheese, prosciutto and bread, are also worth a stop. You can also take an easy walk along to Promajna and the little fisherman's village of Bratus. The beautiful Makarska Riviera stretches between Brela and Gradac with incredible beaches, fragrant pine forests, glistening turquoise sea and lovely quiet bays.

Makarska itself is built around a deep, sheltered bay and backed by the dramatic rocky heights of Mount Biokovo. Makarska town is excellent for nightlife and restaurants. Some typical dishes are the delicious Bikovo cheese and 'Kastradina', and a stew made with dried and smoked lamb, mutton or goat meat. It has a fabulous, palm-lined promenade with cosmopolitan cafes, bars and unique boutiques and deluxe yachts in the harbour. You can book many boat trips out the magical Zlatni Rat beach in Bol on Brac Island and Jelsa on Hvar. The lovely main square of Makarska Town is overlooked by the Baroque Church of St Mark and several elegant palazzi built by wealthy local merchants. It is full of open-air restaurants and cafes, and the daily market behind the church sells fresh local produce.

Omis is known as the City of Pirates, situated at the mouth of the Cetina River. Omis is home to many churches, the 13th century Fortress Mirabella and the 15th-century Fortress Starigrad, excellent shops and an outstanding selection of gourmet restaurants serving fresh, locally caught fish and speciality smoked ham. The Klapa Festival in summer is a beautiful spectacle with Capella singing in churches and squares in the old town.

The beautiful buildings in Split look as though they have just emerged from a fantasy novel. The town combines honeycombs of these intricate historical buildings with a cosmopolitan, palm-lined promenade offering tourists a fabulous experience. The atmospheric, narrow streets are brimming with dramatic monuments, charming restaurants, cafes, bars and a good variety of shops.
