Well-situated in a picturesque seaside town on France’s Silver Coast, Villa Ensoleillée is a two-bedroom villa accommodating up to four adults and two children (plus another two on the sofa bed if necessary). Tastefully designed with a combination of coastal charm and modern comfort, this villa is the ideal retreat.
Stepping into the villa, guests are met with a charming living space flooded with natural light and tastefully decorated in a coastal style. The spacious dining area abuts the well-appointed kitchen, where culinary enthusiasts can whip up anything from a summer salad to a holiday feast for family and friends. With its range of modern appliances and easy functionality, this is a kitchen that will dish out the delicious meals and long conversations that become lasting memories.
On the ground floor guests will find the main bedrooms, including one room with two single beds, a small children’s room with bunk beds, and a master bedroom complete with queen-sized bed, en-suite, TV and AC. Ascending upstairs to the open gallery reveals two more single beds, TV and AC.
Making our way outdoors is where Villa Ensoleillée – literally “Sun-drenched Villa” – comes into its own. Stepping through the large sliding doors brings guests onto a sunny terrace boasting multiple al-fresco dining arrangements, an invitingly turquoise swimming pool, pergola with sunbed, hammock, a range of deck chairs, an outdoor shower and even a little sequestered space in the back of the garden where another al-fresco dining setting can be found.

About the surrounding area of Villa EnsoleilléeIdeally situated in a residential area of the seaside resort town, Villa Ensoleillée is close to a bevy of conveniences, including a supermarket, shops, restaurants and the sandy beach (all within 5-minutes drive).
France’s long Atlantic coast boasts long beaches of fine sand that is ideal for sunbathing, surfing and beachcombing. There are two golf courses within close proximity (3-minute drive and 5-minute drive respectively), with both boasting interesting scenery of dunes and the area’s long Atlantic coastline.
For a fun daytrip, venture north to the beautiful lake known as Etang d’Aureilhan (58-minute drive) which is almost as rich in history as it is in beauty. It is no wonder the lake has long attracted the world’s rich and famous. The stunning Château Woolsack can be found on the lake’s banks. Built in 1911 for Hugh Grosvenor, 2nd Duke of Westminster, this lakeside manor was designed by architects Detmar Blow and Fernand Billery to look like the Tudor style home of Rudyard Kipling built by Cecil Rhodes in South Africa. The home has welcomed guests including Coco Chanel, Charlie Chaplin, Salvador Dali, and even Winston Churchill, who created approximately 20 paintings on the banks of Lake Aureilhan. Don’t forget to take a stroll along the Promenade Fleurie, a lovely walk through wildflowers, shrubs and ornamental gardens along the edge of the lake.
For those who fancy a more urban and cosmopolitan day trip, the beautiful Basque centres of Bayonne and Biarritz (60-minute drive) are well within reach.

Best Suited For: All AgesThe seaside resort’s beachfront is a hive of water sports activity. You’ll have no trouble finding sport rentals, surf schools, disc golf, and even a horse-riding school (12-minute drive).
Electric Skate Land (3-minute drive) offers a chance to explore the Landes region a bit differently. These all-terrain electric skateboard rides take adults and children alike on an adrenaline-fuelled adventure through forests, dunes and along the oceanfront. The boards are easy to use and come with the full spectrum of safety equipment.
Of course, Villa Ensoleillée is itself a haven for the young ones. But if you’re looking to head out and explore, don’t hesitate to utilise the villa’s own collection of bicycles, including a children’s bicycle.
