Overview
Welcome to Maison Sur Mer, a splendid three-bedroom villa situated in stunning Rochebonne, France, a beach stroll away from the historic port city of Saint-Malo. Suitable for four adults and 2 children, this charming terraced house spans 90m2 over two levels and is thoughtfully designed for comfort and style – making for a memorable French escape.
As you step inside the welcoming living and dining area you’ll find it hard to take your eyes off the open sea views bursting through the villa’s large, light-giving windows. The cosy space’s tastefully nautical décor and comfy furnishings make it the bright hub of the house. The interconnected but still open kitchen comes fully equipped with modern amenities, making it a joy to whip up anything from a summer salad to a family feast. Imagine sitting down to a fabulous French meal with the Atlantic Ocean lapping against your doorstep.
A shower and separate WC on the ground floor complete the convenient layout. The sun-soaked cobblestone terrace extends the living space to the beach, providing the perfect spot to savour the sea views and cook something tasty on the barbecue.
Upstairs reveals three bedrooms, amply accommodating four adults and two children. The master bedroom boasts a queen-sized bed and a dressing room. The second room comes complete with a double bed, and the third room has a more playful arrangement thanks to a bunk-bed setup. An additional shower/WC on this level completes the convenience.
Given such easy comfort some might find it hard to leave the villa, but the bright blue sea barely 20 steps away couldn’t be more convenient. Take a morning walk along the beach to Saint-Malo, dive in the ocean, or simply watch the kids play in the sand from the terrace. You can’t get much more than that!

In terms of the immediate vicinity, the villa has convenient access to a supermarket (300m), restaurants (1km), a park (800m), and of course the closest sandy beach (20m).
There is no shortage of beaches at your disposal, but nor is there a shortage of activities. There’s the Saint-Malo’s thermal baths (2km), and in the sports harbour of Saint-Malo itself you’ll find all manner of water-based activities: sailing, jet skiing, kitesurfing, fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding and scuba diving.
Saint-Malo itself, known as the Corsair City and the setting for the novel and Netflix series “All the Light We Cannot See”, is a historical gem enjoying a privileged position on a rocky peninsula. This walled city is dominated by an impressive castle and the enchanting “Intra Muros” route which you can take around the ramparts of the old town.
But Saint-Malo isn’t the only interesting town nearby. Across the harbour from Saint-Malo you’ll find the beautiful Dinard (14.8km), known for its Belle Epoque villas. The picturesque Cancale (13.8km) is known for its seafood, particularly oysters and shellfish. From Cancale you can also see the marvellous Mont Saint-Michel (57km) across the bay.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesMaison Sur Mer is a haven for families with children thanks to its smooth blend of child-friendly design and effortlessly fun location. The villa itself and the garden offer up ample space for children to frolic in the sun.
But it is beyond the villa where the children will find experiences and memories to last a lifetime. With a sand beach on the literal doorstep of the villa kids will have no hesitation in running to explore the lapping shores and they won’t even have to stray out of sight. They’ll enjoy endless hours beachcombing, building sandcastles and playing in the gentle surf.
The sports harbour of Saint-Malo offers every activity under the sun, from sailing to scuba diving and everything in between. But for an experience that doesn’t skip out on education, be sure to check out the Grand Aquarium de St Malo (7.8km) which offers an immersive experience for young minds.
The historical city of Saint-Malo itself is also sure to knock the kids’ socks off.
