This home is a part of our Great Value and Heritage Collection!

This is a historic home, and as such:

  • It has probably been standing for over 100 years, which means it's full of historic value and charm but it may also have one or two quirks!
  • Some of the decor and furnishings may not be brand new, but that should not detract from your holiday experience in this unique setting that allows you to take a step back in time!

Reviews

  • An excellent stay

    on 13/09/2024

We had an excellent stay at Château de Champ Carré. The owner is very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful party with friends and felt right at home. The rooms in the main part of the château are magnificent and the rooms in the hunting lodge are really charming.
It was a perfect stay, and the fine weather made it possible to enjoy a swim.

  • Fabulous Chateau!

    on 12/06/2023

We were a group of four couples staying in mid May 2023, and what a fabulous chateau. We were pleased with the quiet country location which was a short drive to Beaune and Burgundy wine country.
The home is beautifully decorated, spacious and charming. The history of the home makes it so special, and the lovely guest rooms with ensuite full bathrooms were indulgent. The large professional kitchen allowed us to hire chefs to cook for us each evening, and we ate in the grand dining room. We relaxed on the terrace overlooking the amazing peaceful and private yard.
The loving restoration of this magnificent home makes it a magic destination. Although we rarely saw her, the owner was responsive to any request we made, for example assisting us to arrange transportation into Beaune. She was a thoughtful hostess!
We enjoyed our special time there, and highly recommend it.

  • Amazing

    on 04/01/2020

    Lovely place, very friendly housekeeper

  • Perfect!

    on 30/06/2018

    Everything was beautiful and good!

  • Our week at the Chateau

    on 11/10/2016

The Chateau in Beaune is a perfect place for a large group to be accommodated. Our group consisting 18 people, had relaxing bedrooms situated in the 19th century chateau or the 18th century cottage.
The lounge room and adjoining library have been decorated in the period style and have comfortable seating to provide quiet time to read and or reflect on the opulence of the chateau's previous owners.
Our host had extended the dining table so it was sufficient to seat everyone in the large dining room and enjoy meals together, discuss the days journeys and prepare activities for the next.
The cooking facilities are large enough for everyone to be involved in meal preparation in the family kitchen or in the adjoining professional kitchen.
Relaxing on the terrace or near the pool and sampling the locally purchased charcuterie, cheese and wine is a must after enjoying the day's activities. The local towns of Beaune, Meursault or Dijon provide ample opportunity to purchase supplies from produce markets or supermarkets.
Vehicles are required to explore the area and ample parking is available in the extensive grounds of the chateau.
An enjoyable and memorable time was had by all.
