Region

The pace of life in the Dordogne is languid, laid back and positively infectious. Relax in bucolic beauty as you drift along the Dordogne River, or wander among the forests and hillside of the Périgord Natural Park.

The foodie scene too, is a relaxed affair. Take your time over your lazy lunches of local duck, black truffles and goats cheese. If you’re feeling energetic, you can even hunt for them yourself. The wine here is second to none, with infamous grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Chenin Blanc all having a huge presence here.

The Dordogne is also brimming with history. Castles and chateaux are scattered throughout the region, among the enchanting medieval villages. History of an altogether more ancient sort can also be explored in the incredible prehistoric cave drawings of Lascaux and Grotte de Rouffignac.

We will look forward to booking again.

  • A lovely holiday

    on 02/09/2020

We had a very nice holiday and the house has turned out very well. Lots of space and beautifully situated. Contact and handling on site also went smoothly. Hopefully we can go here again.

  • Ultra-relaxing holiday

    on 06/08/2020

We loved this rental: it was very clean when we arrived, quality linen and towel service, very clean pool too and ultra-relaxing location. The 2nd refrigerator was very handy in the heat.

  • A big thank you!

    on 19/08/2018

We wanted to say a big thank you for a very relaxing holiday and all the help whilst staying in the Villa.

  • Ideal villa

    on 02/08/2015

The location of the villa was excellent, there is no passing traffic other than the odd runner, we expected peace and quiet but this was ideal. The other area the villa stood out for us was in how well stocked the kitchen was. We have had rentals in the past where there were simply not enough pots and pans, but this kitchen was very well stocked. Finally I would compliment the key holder, he was very responsive to all our needs.

  • Absolutely wonderful stay

    on 08/06/2014

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and were very sad to leave.

We very much hope to visit again and recommend to our friends.
