Overview
Domaine des Parfums is the labour of love of its well-travelled owners who fell in love with this enchanting area many years ago and after ten years of memorable holidays, decided to build their own beautiful home there. What they have created is remarkable and everything you could dream of for a stay in the South of France; exquisite interiors, sweeping countryside views and a stunning infinity pool, all set in four hectares of lush terraced gardens, and all just a 30-minute drive away from Cannes and Grasse.
With seven en-suite bedrooms across three floors, stylish living spaces, a wine cellar and cinema room, there is something for everyone whether you are staying with family or friends. Children will love the tree-house outside, playing boules or exploring the varied gardens with fig, olive and cherry trees and the sweet scent of lavender.
Walk down the grand stone steps to the magical swimming pool with far reaching views all around you, take a rest in the shade of the covered poolside lounge area or bathe in the glorious French sunshine. Long evenings can be spent under the star-filled sky on your large al-fresco terrace with barbecue, which leads straight off from the elegant kitchen and overlooks the magnificent pool.
Despite the tranquillity of the surrounding countryside, you are only a five-minute drive from the nearby hilltop village of Montauroux, nestling in the trees and a true hidden gem with pretty restaurants, a bakery, market and small grocery shops. The village was much loved by Christian Dior who built a château as a holiday home not far from Domaine Des Parfums, and which is now the private estate for Christian Dior Parfum and where A-list celebrities are often spotted mingling in style.
There is a whole host of activities within a short drive from horse-riding, biking and hiking as well as boating and swimming in Lac de Saint Cassien. It’s a golfer’s paradise here with a range of courses nearby including the prestigious Terre Blanche and for a unique experience, one of the world’s best gliding schools just minutes away in Fayence. In addition, you are just a thirty-minute drive from the Mediterranean coast with charming Saint-Raphaël and the glamour of Cannes, both so near.
This really is a Provençal paradise, a very special home in an idyllic location so close to charming hilltop villages and stunning scenery. It’s the perfect place to explore this wonderful part of southern France if you can bear to leave your splendid and relaxing surroundings.

Location
About the surrounding area of Domaine Des ParfumsThe nearby medieval village of Montauroux is perched in the hills, nestled by trees, and incredibly picturesque. In the old town you can explore the narrow streets, discover pretty stone fountains and sometimes listen to an evening concert in the village church at the top of the village. Here you will find a bakery, restaurants and cafes plus a street market on a Tuesday.
The village has an interesting history with the Dior family who built a nearby Chateau as their holiday home, now used as an exclusive estate for A-list celebrity events and stays. Mr Christian Dior has also donated a private chapel to the village which has been named after him. The village is a hidden gem in this part of Provence, aristocratic families used to build secluded estates here in the hills and valleys.
You are also only minutes away from the idyllic hilltop village of Callian with its pretty winding streets, flowered filled staircases and stunning outlook of lush forests. Fayence is another dreamy village with charming streets and beautiful cafes plus a weekly Farmers Market selling Provençal delights. Keeping with the theme of parfum, the stunning town of Grasse is half an hours drive away, known for its perfume heritage and fields of lavender.
Within a few minutes drive you have a great range of activities including horse-riding, marked cycling paths and off road routes, wonderful hiking opportunities plus the world-renowned Terre Blanche golf course just the other side of the valley. For a truly special experience there is a Gliding school in Fayence, voted by Conde Nast Traveller to be the best gliding in the world!
Lac de Saint Cassien is perfect for hiring pedaloes with the kids or take a romantic rowing boat out and enjoy the scenery. There is also windsurfing and it’s a popular lake for swimming off the waters edge.
Despite the beautiful countryside and huge range of activities, you are only 30 minutes from the coast with charming Saint-Raphaël (30km) and the historical town of Fréjus (30km) so near.
The fashionable city of Cannes (35km) is also a fantastic place to visit during your stay. Take a walk along the city promenade in Cannes, La Croisette, as you soak up the glitz and glamour that surrounds you. The city has a brilliant nightlife, some superb restaurants and a great choice of lovely sandy beaches, both public and private.

Region
Despite being renowned for its annual international film festival in May at the iconic Palais des Festivals, Cannes is not just a glamourous destination for the rich and famous. The attractive Côte d’Azur town is loved all year round for its palm-fringed beaches, upmarket shopping opportunities and wonderful restaurants as well as a certain French Riviera charm.
Stroll along Cannes’ iconic La Croisette boulevard following the footsteps of stars from years gone by as you admire prestigious hotels, luxurious boutiques and private beach clubs. Stop off for a cocktail as the sun sets and admire the twinkling lights across the bay. Even at night, La Croisette remains the vibrant heart of this bustling town.
Shop to your heart’s delight along the streets of the Carré d’Or district – come across hundreds of well-known stores along Rue d’Antibes. At the end of a busy day there’s a vast choice of restaurants to suit every taste and budget from authentic bistros spilling out on to the street to Michelin starred establishments.
Soak up the historic side of Cannes as you explore Le Suquet quarter’s medieval lanes passing little shops, atmospheric restaurants, flower-filled balconies and old fishermen’s houses. Climb to the top of the hill by Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance for stunning views of the harbour, followed by a visit to Château de la Castre and its popular museum. This part of Cannes is also home to the colourful Marché Forville showcasing the very best gourmet delights of Cannes and beyond.
Escape the crowds as you venture to Croix Des Gardes natural park with forest walking routes, botanical plants and glorious views across to the Lérins Islands. Look out for some fantastic boat trips from Cannes’ marina from whale and dolphin-watching excursions to family adventures on board a chartered yacht, sight-seeing ferries and romantic sun-set cruises.
Beyond the city centre, visit the ceramic studios and National Picasso Museum in Vallauris, follow Picasso’s footsteps in the enchanting hilltop village of Mougins (loved for its galleries and gastronomy) and appreciate the artistic vibe of Biot with beautiful views of the French Riviera. Chic Juan-les-Pins, so loved by Parisians in the summer, is home to beachside restaurants and more watersports whilst keen walkers will adore the incredible coastal trail around Cap d’Antibes.
In the other direction is the charming seaside village of Théoule-sur-Mer, backed by the dramatic Esterel massif, another paradise for hikers. By staying in one of our collection of handpicked rentals in Cannes you can experience all of this and more during your time on the glistening Côte d’Azur.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!!
From the moment that we have arrived it was feeling like heaven! The beautiful villa, gardens, pool, view and everything else were perfect! It was more than ever expected! The property is in an immaculate state!! Well done to the hosts for keeping it this way. The space in the villa worked well for our group (10 adults and 3 babies). Rooms were fantastic. Kitchen is well equipped with a big variety of cookware and utensils. A fantastic stove! The pool (we had it heated) and pool cover was a big winner for us! Ice machines, fridges etc worked perfect! We had fantastic weather so did not spend much time inside, all around the pool! This is definitely one of the most beautiful and stylish places I have ever been for holiday! Hope to go back again!!!

Lovely Classic French Countryside Chateau!!
Driving in through the gates, I already felt that Domaine Des Parfums would be something special. The old stone facade of the house entrance is a humble and classic entrance to the rest of the villa. The entire villa faces west and welcomes the afternoon sunshine, which streams in through the glass panels onto the kitchen of my dreams! There's a huge island, a double oven, giant refrigerator with extra storage space, and fully equipped for hosting afternoon gatherings that morph seamlessly into elegant dinner parties. In fact, while I was there we easily hosted nearly 20 people in the dining room for a New Years Eve party! The living room is warm and the huge fireplace is a beautiful centrepiece for evening conversation and game night. Each of the 7 bedrooms is conveniently en-suite and the heated floors upstairs guarantee that everything stays warm and cosy. The first night I arrived I slept with the shutters open and woke up to a beautiful sunrise streaming through the east-facing window. The grounds were still being worked on, but I'm excited to see the fruit trees mature (apricot, peach, pomegranate, lemon, I think maybe more?) as well as the lavender and rose gardens bloom. It's the classic French countryside chateau with all the key modern updates decorated with impeccable taste. Since I was there in the winter, I dream of going back in summer to lounge in the infinity pool with incredible panoramic views, cocktail in hand and BBQ grilling, watching the sunset over the entire valley.

A Superbly Relaxing Holiday!
We stayed at Domaine des Parfums for ten days last summer. It was the perfect place to unwind and truly relax on holiday. The house is absolutely breathtaking and has been finished to such a high quality. Everything was perfectly clean too! Outside there are a number of areas just to sit back and let the hours drift by - whether you want to sunbath (there are plenty of sun loungers) by the infinity pool and marvel at the stunning views across the valley or lie back in the shade of the terrace or shaded poolside sofa area. Around the side of the house there’s also a boules court. My favourite area was the dining terrace just outside of the kitchen. The kitchen doors push back fully, so as you prepare food you feel as if you’re outside. There’s a substantial gas barbecue too. The kitchen has everything you need and there’s a washing machine/dryer in the utility room. There are plenty of supermarkets nearby and the village of Montauroux is charming and has a number of restaurants - this is where we drove each morning to buy our croissants and bread. We went to a restaurant one evening Callian which had such a great vibe and was so popular the tables spilt out onto the closed road - it was wonderful! We drove to Monte Carlo one day to show the teenagers this amazing place - and also visited St Tropez and Nice. They’re all easy driving distance from the Domaine.
If you want a superbly relaxing holiday where there’s something for everyone - then I fully recommend staying here. We enjoyed it so much we’re looking to book again this summer! -
A Marvellous Stay!
Domaine des Parfums is a beautifully restored property, finished to a very high standard, both externally and internally. The gardens and grounds complement this well furnished and spacious house which is quietly situated with stunning views over the infinity swimming pool to the wooded valley and the mountains beyond. We had a wonderful holiday here in this peaceful area of southern France and would highly recommend it!
