Pool Beach Nearby Ideal for Kids All Bedrooms En-Suite

On the bougainvillea-clad terrace looking out towards the Mediterranean, sit back and soak up the Côte d'Azur scenery from this gorgeous villa near the coast in the stunning Massif de l'Esterel, just 18km west of Cannes.

La Brise is a beautiful holiday home with sea views from every room. Enjoy the most spectacular vistas from the first floor with the lovely lounge and its sliding windows leading out to a sea-facing terrace, alongside homely features such as Satellite TV with English channels, board games and a piano. There are more amazing views from the well-equipped kitchen whilst the air-conditioned master bedroom, with its en suite bathroom, will also take your breath away. Gather for al-fresco meals by the barbecue on the upper terrace, looking out towards the Bay of Cannes and Lérins Islands.

A pretty spiral staircase from the upper terrace brings you to the heated swimming pool, sun-loungers and a Weber barbecue for poolside dining, again all facing the azure-coloured sea beyond the Mediterranean gardens and rooftops below. Three further en suite double bedrooms can be found on this level, each one decorated with warmth and style.

This villa is ideally positioned for enjoying all that the French Riviera has to offer. A short drive brings you down to the coast where you will find idyllic little beaches, many in wild spots, backed by the red rock that this area is so famous for. A paradise for scuba-diving or just admiring the outstanding natural scenery, the Massif de l'Esterel is also perfect for hiking, mountain biking and horse-riding.

In one direction, head towards the glamour of Cannes with its long stretches of sandy beaches or drive along the Corniche d'Or, passing the incredible calanques and picturesque swimming spots such as Agay Plage, to the charming seaside resorts of Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus, even continuing as far as Saint-Tropez.

Of course, there is so much more of the Côte d'Azur to discover whether it’s the flower-filled village of Mougins with its gastronomic restaurants, the atmospheric market town of Valbonne or the perfume houses of beautiful Grasse. La Brise really does offer a wealth of wonderful experiences in the heart of the French Riviera.

Just 18km west of Cannes and a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean, La Brise enjoys a wonderful location in a quiet gated community. It is situated in the Var department, close to the border with Alpes-Maritimes and not far from the lovely seaside village of Théoule-sur-Mer, with the incredible Massif de l'Esterel on your doorstep.

With spectacular sea views, the Mediterranean is under 1km away, although following the winding roads through the residential district means it’s around a 1.8km drive to the nearest beach – a small, idyllic spot reached via a number of stairs, backed by the red cliffs that this area is so famous for. Dotted along this coastline are further pretty coves, some in wild spots only accessible via the surrounding rocks, especially ideal for scuba-diving or just admiring the outstanding natural beauty around you.

Watersport enthusiasts will also find diving, sailing and kite-surfing in Théoule-sur-Mer (8km) whilst there is an even wider choice of water based activities in and around Cannes (18km).

Your nearest restaurants are around 2km away, as is a convenience store whilst there is a small supermarket and further amenities further along the coast in Théoule-sur-Mer. Larger supermarkets and of course a greater range of restaurants can be found towards Mandelieu-La Napoule and Cannes.

You can take the train from the nearby station to Cannes, taking just 17 minutes, or hop on a boat shuttle departing Théoule-sur-Mer in the summer months. It’s such a fantastic place to explore with its palm-fringed sandy beaches, trendy restaurants, glitzy boutiques as well as a wealth of charm in its old quarter and vibrant covered markets. Take a boat trip along the French Riviera, look out for dolphins and whales or visit the tranquil Lérins Islands.

In the other direction, the train will whisk you away to Saint-Raphaël (23km) or follow the magnificent Corniche d'Or coastal road, passing the incredible landscapes of the Massif de l'Esterel, perhaps stopping off at the very beautiful Agay Plage. Saint-Raphaël is a characterful seaside resort with many atmospheric restaurants with pretty terraces, an impressive marina and superb beach. Neighbouring Fréjus (26km) is also a delight with its Roman ruins, summer markets and another brilliant town beach.

Even Saint-Tropez (63km) can be reached for an amazing day out (look out for summer boat trips from Mandelieu-La Napoule or Saint-Raphaël to avoid the summer traffic) or head inland and visit some of the gorgeous villages and towns of the Côte d'Azur hinterland such as artistic Mougins (25km), medieval Valbonne (30km) and picturesque Grasse (33km), the perfume capital of France.

Outdoor adventure enthusiasts can of course hike or mountain bike through the Massif de l'Esterel or admire the scenery on horse-back. For a gentler pursuit, discover one of the many golf clubs near Cannes and Nice, with Golf Old Course Cannes Mandelieu only 12km away and some of the prestigious courses close to Mougins just a little further.

Region

Despite being renowned for its annual international film festival in May at the iconic Palais des Festivals, Cannes is not just a glamourous destination for the rich and famous. The attractive Côte d’Azur town is loved all year round for its palm-fringed beaches, upmarket shopping opportunities and wonderful restaurants as well as a certain French Riviera charm.

Stroll along Cannes’ iconic La Croisette boulevard following the footsteps of stars from years gone by as you admire prestigious hotels, luxurious boutiques and private beach clubs. Stop off for a cocktail as the sun sets and admire the twinkling lights across the bay. Even at night, La Croisette remains the vibrant heart of this bustling town.

Shop to your heart’s delight along the streets of the Carré d’Or district – come across hundreds of well-known stores along Rue d’Antibes. At the end of a busy day there’s a vast choice of restaurants to suit every taste and budget from authentic bistros spilling out on to the street to Michelin starred establishments.

Soak up the historic side of Cannes as you explore Le Suquet quarter’s medieval lanes passing little shops, atmospheric restaurants, flower-filled balconies and old fishermen’s houses. Climb to the top of the hill by Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance for stunning views of the harbour, followed by a visit to Château de la Castre and its popular museum. This part of Cannes is also home to the colourful Marché Forville showcasing the very best gourmet delights of Cannes and beyond.

Escape the crowds as you venture to Croix Des Gardes natural park with forest walking routes, botanical plants and glorious views across to the Lérins Islands. Look out for some fantastic boat trips from Cannes’ marina from whale and dolphin-watching excursions to family adventures on board a chartered yacht, sight-seeing ferries and romantic sun-set cruises.

Beyond the city centre, visit the ceramic studios and National Picasso Museum in Vallauris, follow Picasso’s footsteps in the enchanting hilltop village of Mougins (loved for its galleries and gastronomy) and appreciate the artistic vibe of Biot with beautiful views of the French Riviera. Chic Juan-les-Pins, so loved by Parisians in the summer, is home to beachside restaurants and more watersports whilst keen walkers will adore the incredible coastal trail around Cap d’Antibes.

In the other direction is the charming seaside village of Théoule-sur-Mer, backed by the dramatic Esterel massif, another paradise for hikers. By staying in one of our collection of handpicked rentals in Cannes you can experience all of this and more during your time on the glistening Côte d’Azur.

Within a short drive you will find pretty little bays, both sandy and pebbly, dotted along the coastline, some wild with access via rocks and steps, others with amenities, especially in Théoule-sur-Mer where there is a range of watersports such as jet-ski, kite-surfing and sailing. This area is known for its clear waters, just perfect for scuba-diving.

For longer stretches of sandy beaches, try the palm-fringed coastline in and around Cannes or head to the family-friendly beaches of Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus with a choice of summer watersports. Saint-Raphaël and Fréjus are also home to activities such as mini-golf, skating, go-karting as well as lovely play areas and cycle paths.
