Villa Brillante is a delightful villa with a fantastic swimming pool and gardens, located just a short drive from the medieval hilltop town of Mougins and the glitz and glamour of Cannes.
You will feel immediately at home in the comfort of the bright, airy living room with large sofas, an open fire-place and wonderful French windows opening straight out to the swimming pool and gardens. The indoor dining area also opens onto a spacious terrace, perfect for al-fresco dining on warm summer evenings or poolside lunches on lazy days at the villa. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you may need and there is an outdoor kitchen and gas barbecue for keen cooks to prepare a feast for their guests.
There are six bedrooms on the ground and first floors, styled with simplicity and pretty fabrics, all of them en-suite with colourful bath or shower rooms. The three downstairs rooms have French doors opening onto the pool terraces or gardens, and two of the bedrooms on the first floor have their own terrace, ideal for a glass of good wine brought back from one of the area's many vineyards.
The curved salt-water swimming pool is going to be popular with all ages with its magnificent features such as a Jacuzzi, waterfall and a wave and jet machine. Lazy days can be spent having fun in the swimming pool whilst sun worshippers soak up the rays from the poolside loungers or relax on the outdoor chairs. There is table tennis and badminton in the garden and a lovely spacious lawn area, wonderful for family games or shady picnics under the palm tree.
A short stroll (via country roads) will take you to Val de Mougins where you will find a good choice of local shops and restaurants, ideal for your everyday groceries or a quick meal out. Just a few minutes further by car is the charming medieval hilltop town of Mougins, which has become famous for its art galleries and restaurants and hosts the Festival of Gastronomy every year. Whether you are looking for fine dining or authentic French cuisine, you will find a great choice of excellent eateries in and around Mougins.
Glamourous Cannes is just 6km away, and where you can enjoy its famous promenade, La Croisette, or find one of the many public and private sandy beaches for a day by the sea and maybe some energetic watersports. Take a ferry from Cannes to the nearby Iles de Lerins where you can picnic by a rocky cove or take a walk with wonderful views.
Families will also love the nearby Aquasplash in Antibes, just a short drive away, or the wild woods and playgrounds of the Parc de la Valmasque near Mougins. In the countryside nearby, there is horse-riding, mountain biking and hiking trails, and there is tennis within walking distance and a choice of golf courses within a short drive, offering good options for those looking for a more active holiday.

What you should know…
- Although you can walk to the nearby shops and local restaurants, car hire is definitely recommended for exploring the French Riviera.
- During cooler months you can pay a little extra to have the swimming pool heated.
- The two first floor bedrooms have their own roof terraces, smaller children will need to be supervised here.
- A/C is available in the bedrooms only (except in the two small bedrooms in the basement).

Please note that these bedrooms are more simple in style and lack natural light.

About the surrounding area of Villa BrillanteVilla Brillante is conveniently located just a short walk (via country roads) from the Val de Mougins area where you will find a good selection of local restaurants and shops.
Just a little further by car is the charming medieval hilltop town of Mougins which has become famous for its art galleries and restaurants, hosting the Festival of Gastronomy every year. Whether you are looking for fine dining or authentic French cuisine, you will find a great choice of excellent restaurants in and around Mougins. The picturesque town has also appealed to artists and celebrities over the years, including Pablo Picasso who lived here for the last decade of his life until 1973. The Mougins Museum of Classical Art is one of many art galleries and studios that are well visited by tourists in the area.
This area is a natures paradise with the wonderful Parc de la Valmasque nearby, offering hiking paths, natural trails, bird-watching stations and playgrounds across woodland hills, streams and lakes. There is horse-riding nearby, mountain bike trails and a choice of golf courses in the area, tennis within walking distance plus a range of water-sports a short drive away in Cannes.
A walk along the city promenade in Cannes, La Croisette, is a must as you soak up the glitz and glamour that surrounds you. The fashionable city, just 6km away, has a brilliant nightlife, some superb restaurants and a great choice of lovely sandy beaches, both public and private. Take a ferry across to the beautiful Iles de Lerons, two pretty islands where you can take a picnic and find a rocky cove backed by pine and eucalyptus trees.
Other delights of the French Riviera are easily reached such as historic Grasse, in the hills north of Cannes, known for its perfume heritage and fields of lavender, plus the beautiful city of Nice, especially the maze of narrow streets in the old town. Families with children will not only enjoy the beautiful fine sandy beaches along parts of the Cote d’Azure but there are various waterparks too, including Aquasplash in nearby Antibes, just 15km away.

Stroll along Cannes’ iconic La Croisette boulevard following the footsteps of stars from years gone by as you admire prestigious hotels, luxurious boutiques and private beach clubs. Stop off for a cocktail as the sun sets and admire the twinkling lights across the bay. Even at night, La Croisette remains the vibrant heart of this bustling town.
Shop to your heart’s delight along the streets of the Carré d’Or district – come across hundreds of well-known stores along Rue d’Antibes. At the end of a busy day there’s a vast choice of restaurants to suit every taste and budget from authentic bistros spilling out on to the street to Michelin starred establishments.
Soak up the historic side of Cannes as you explore Le Suquet quarter’s medieval lanes passing little shops, atmospheric restaurants, flower-filled balconies and old fishermen’s houses. Climb to the top of the hill by Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance for stunning views of the harbour, followed by a visit to Château de la Castre and its popular museum. This part of Cannes is also home to the colourful Marché Forville showcasing the very best gourmet delights of Cannes and beyond.
Escape the crowds as you venture to Croix Des Gardes natural park with forest walking routes, botanical plants and glorious views across to the Lérins Islands. Look out for some fantastic boat trips from Cannes’ marina from whale and dolphin-watching excursions to family adventures on board a chartered yacht, sight-seeing ferries and romantic sun-set cruises.
Beyond the city centre, visit the ceramic studios and National Picasso Museum in Vallauris, follow Picasso’s footsteps in the enchanting hilltop village of Mougins (loved for its galleries and gastronomy) and appreciate the artistic vibe of Biot with beautiful views of the French Riviera. Chic Juan-les-Pins, so loved by Parisians in the summer, is home to beachside restaurants and more watersports whilst keen walkers will adore the incredible coastal trail around Cap d’Antibes.
