Overview
Located in the heart of southern France’s Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Villa Lanvin offers a sublime sanctuary within the bustling city of Cannes.
This stylish holiday home is designed in a neo-Provençal style and has been tastefully renovated to offer every home comfort. It boasts three floors built on an elevated, landscaped garden offering a front-row seat to spectacular sea views of the twinkling Mediterranean coastline below.
In its wonderful simplicity, Villa Lanvin is incredibly striking. Step inside and you will find a bright, open-plan living area and dazzling modern kitchen separated by exquisite marble pillars. A snow-white colour palette features throughout and is offset with neutral furnishings, art-deco fixtures and pops of blue, instantly evoking the feeling of being at the sea. This sublimity continues to the upper floors where you can find four double bedrooms and a children’s room, all minimalist yet beautifully decorated. The master suite is truly incredible and has an en-suite bathroom with a free-standing bath alongside a glass shower.
Stepping out to the wonderful decked terrace, it feels like an oasis of calm, a place you can relax away from the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life. There’s an outdoor bar and dining area perfect for entertaining and enjoying excellent local cuisine while watching the sun go down, and the many relaxation spots offer a great sense of comfort too. The large swimming pool looks out to the sea and is framed by palm trees making you feel like you're holidaying on a far-away tropical island.
While there’s plenty to do and discover in the area, only a 10-minute drive brings you to the centre of Cannes – a resort city with a glitzy character and rustic charm. Here you can wander around the winding streets and paths lined with casinos, restaurants and bars, or cool down in the sea on one of the city’s popular sandy beaches.
In 15 minutes by car, you can reach Théoule-sur-Mer, which is tucked away in a small inlet among the rocks of the Esterel Mountains with an array of sandy beaches backed by cliffs, as well as many vantage spots with mesmerising views.
For more buzz and to explore the French Riviera even further, choose Nice or Antibes as your next day trip destination. While both host an array of ambient restaurants, lovely beaches and landmarks to see, they are also suitable for those looking for history and art – and notably Nice has ensnared many visitors with its array of museums such as the Musées Matisse, Chagall and d’Art Moderne – all being a superb reason to justify an aesthetic pilgrimage here.

Luckily you are in the right place for exploring the stunning French Riviera – a slice of the Mediterranean coast that lures the crowds to its sunny climate, sweeping sandy beaches and resort towns full of timeless character.
As you step outside, you can explore the charming Le Cannet neighbourhood full of amenities that will make your stay more comfortable. The closest restaurant is only a short drive away, while a traditional French patisserie selling flakey pastries and delicious cakes are also within close proximity. When you need to do your grocery shopping, simply hop in the car and drive for 5 minutes to stock up on ingredients. Before you make your way to Cannes, make sure to visit the nearby Musée Bonnard dedicated to French artist Pierre Bonnard set in a Belle Epoque mansion.
If you want to relax on the golf course and meet like-minded enthusiasts, then head to the area around Mougins where you can find many golf clubs, such as the Golf Cannes-Mougins, as well as a golf academy and an array of shops and boutiques selling high-quality gear and clothing.
The historic city centre of Cannes is just a 10-minute drive away, perfect for when you want to laze around in bohemian beach clubs, sip cocktails on modern rooftop bars and explore the first-class dining and shopping scene.
For more low-key hangouts, consider strolling to the port Vieux Port de Cannes, which was built in the 1950s, where you can admire yachts and watch people come and go. Or, stock up on local delicacies in the indoor market Marché Forville – think fresh seafood, fruit and artisan pastries and cheese. On a sunny day, why not rent a sun bed and soak up the glorious weather on the public beach Croisette Beach Cannes backed by restaurants? Nearby, you can find a pontoon path, Corniche du Mouré Rouge, great for cycling and taking in the views of the Lerins Islands.
A bit further away, you can find the historic port city of Antibes. Before heading to the museum devoted to Picasso’s work, walk to the Old Town surrounded by thick 16th-century ramparts and walk along the stone walls as waves crash against them. There’s also an archaeological museum with Roman artefacts from as early as the 7th century, and plenty of cafés, bars and squares where you can watch the world go by.
The French Riviera’s famous beaches are right at your doorstep, so consider visiting at least some of the best ones on your trip. Notably, Plage des Marinières is set in the sweeping natural elegance of Villefranche-sur-Mer’s deepwater harbour, while Plage de la Mala in Cap-d’Ail can be reached by a magical coastal path through fragrant pine trees and limestone cliffs.

Region
Despite being renowned for its annual international film festival in May at the iconic Palais des Festivals, Cannes is not just a glamourous destination for the rich and famous. The attractive Côte d’Azur town is loved all year round for its palm-fringed beaches, upmarket shopping opportunities and wonderful restaurants as well as a certain French Riviera charm.
Stroll along Cannes’ iconic La Croisette boulevard following the footsteps of stars from years gone by as you admire prestigious hotels, luxurious boutiques and private beach clubs. Stop off for a cocktail as the sun sets and admire the twinkling lights across the bay. Even at night, La Croisette remains the vibrant heart of this bustling town.
Shop to your heart’s delight along the streets of the Carré d’Or district – come across hundreds of well-known stores along Rue d’Antibes. At the end of a busy day there’s a vast choice of restaurants to suit every taste and budget from authentic bistros spilling out on to the street to Michelin starred establishments.
Soak up the historic side of Cannes as you explore Le Suquet quarter’s medieval lanes passing little shops, atmospheric restaurants, flower-filled balconies and old fishermen’s houses. Climb to the top of the hill by Église Notre-Dame d'Espérance for stunning views of the harbour, followed by a visit to Château de la Castre and its popular museum. This part of Cannes is also home to the colourful Marché Forville showcasing the very best gourmet delights of Cannes and beyond.
Escape the crowds as you venture to Croix Des Gardes natural park with forest walking routes, botanical plants and glorious views across to the Lérins Islands. Look out for some fantastic boat trips from Cannes’ marina from whale and dolphin-watching excursions to family adventures on board a chartered yacht, sight-seeing ferries and romantic sun-set cruises.
Beyond the city centre, visit the ceramic studios and National Picasso Museum in Vallauris, follow Picasso’s footsteps in the enchanting hilltop village of Mougins (loved for its galleries and gastronomy) and appreciate the artistic vibe of Biot with beautiful views of the French Riviera. Chic Juan-les-Pins, so loved by Parisians in the summer, is home to beachside restaurants and more watersports whilst keen walkers will adore the incredible coastal trail around Cap d’Antibes.
In the other direction is the charming seaside village of Théoule-sur-Mer, backed by the dramatic Esterel massif, another paradise for hikers. By staying in one of our collection of handpicked rentals in Cannes you can experience all of this and more during your time on the glistening Côte d’Azur.
