This Mediterranean villa in Carry-le-Rouet enjoys sea views from its vibrant living spaces and terraces. This is a great location for little beaches, coastal hiking and water-based activities or venture away from the sea and spend the day soaking up the charm of Aix-en-Provence just over half an hour away.
Maison Pommiers is a superb holiday home with a private swimming pool and an impressive range of features. Step into its open-plan living space with contemporary furnishings, interesting objets d’art and sliding windows opening out to the poolside terrace. The modern kitchen is brilliantly equipped and there’s a lovely covered terrace for al-fresco meals.
Across the top two floors come across three en suite bedrooms, each with sea views, queen-size double beds and doors leading to a terrace, alongside a fourth bedroom for children with its own shower and sink.
Downstairs the features are fantastic – the spacious TV lounge is an ideal space to chill out and play games, then there’s the movie room with its huge screen and cinema chairs. The fitness area is great for exercise enthusiasts and there is a hammam and sauna (not to mention the jacuzzi outside next to the swimming pool).
The villa is in a residential area around 1.5km from Carry-le-Rouet’s charming marina and restaurant terraces specialising in seafood. Discover rocky little coves and beaches dotted along this coastline (one the most adventurous of guests can walk to) as well the sandy Plage du Verdon around 12km away. Other pretty seaside towns include Sausset-les-Pins and Méjean along this stretch of Mediterranean coastline known as La Côte Bleue.
Elsewhere, discover the beaches, watersports and characterful towns by the Étang de Berre, soak up the vibrancy of Marseille or spend the day experiencing the essence of Provence in the beautiful town of Aix-en-Provence.

Location
About the surrounding area of Maison PommiersMaison Pommiers is located in an attractive residential quarter of Carry-le-Rouet around 1.5km from the harbourside. Half an hour west of Marseille, this stunning part of the Mediterranean coast is known as La Côte Bleue.
There is a tiny rocky cove you can reach in around 1km – it’s fairly tricky access but the views are worth it (pack your sea shoes if you wish to venture into the sea). Meanwhile, Carry-le-Rouet (1.5km) is a pretty port with several restaurant terraces overlooking the harbourside, mostly specialising in seafood.
Keen hikers should discover the magnificent walking routes along the coast, passing pine forests, dramatic rocks and rocky coves. The less adventurous can explore the coastline by car with gems such as the fishing village of Sausset-les-Pins (6km) and charming Méjean (10km). A little further along the coast, Plage du Verdon (12km) is a glorious sandy beach, especially loved by families.
As well as hiking, activities across this area include snorkelling and summer watersports, mountain biking, horse-riding and a range of summer festivities. Away from the coast, visit the beaches of the Étang de Berre including Plage De La Romaniquette in Istres (36km). The lakeside town of Martigues (19km) is another highlight with colourful houses, canals, bridges and islands as well as its wonderful gardens and summer flower displays.
Gastronomes and history enthusiasts may be keen to visit the vibrant and diverse city of Marseille (29km) for an interesting day out or head slightly further north and be enchanted by Aix-en-Provence (40km) and the landscapes of Mont Sainte-Victoire.

Along this part of the coastline there are pretty rocky beaches (pack your jelly shoes) and a range of seasonal watersports as well as fantastic snorkelling opportunities. Meanwhile, Plage du Verdon (12km) is a wonderful spot for families with its sandy shores.
There are more fantastic beaches around Étang de Berre including Plage De La Romaniquette with its popular water-based activities and quality-controlled water. Admire flower-filled Martigues and its little canals, bridges and islands or look out for a range of family attractions near the lake such as the tree-top activity centre at Parc Figuerolles (24km) and Dinosaur'Istres (36km) theme park.
