With its elegant interiors, beautiful garden and swimming pool, this air-conditioned French Riviera villa epitomises stylish living just a short walk from the heart of Saint-Tropez.
There’s an air of Côte d’Azur sophistication across the open-plan living area with chic furnishings and eye-catching prints whilst the kitchen is just the right size for preparing delicious breakfasts and leisurely meals to enjoy on the terrace. Four sumptuous bedrooms await, each with their own en suite bathroom, decorated with subtle colours and pretty fabrics that add to the calming ambience of this single-storey Saint-Tropez holiday home.
From the living room, doors slide open to a gorgeous patio for al-fresco dining and relaxation or simply perch on the stools with an apéritif in hand as you admire the intimate garden through the archway. The swimming pool has been sensitively designed to blend in to its environment, perfect for cooling off after a day wandering around Saint-Tropez. Sit on the bench beneath the pergola, accompanied by the sound of trickling water, and admire the verdant plants in the immaculate grounds.
It's less than a 10-minute stroll into Saint-Tropez, one of France’s most desirable destinations with its characterful old quarter, colourful houses and twice-weekly Provençal market juxtaposing high-end boutiques, upmarket restaurants and luxurious yachts in the harbour. The joy of Saint-Tropez means you are able to experience both the charm and glamour of the French Rivera.
Beyond the town centre, drive to Plage de Pampelonne for exclusive beach clubs and watersports, visit wine châteaux and vineyards near Gassin and La Croix Valmer, tour the pretty canals of Port Grimaud by boat and take a ferry across the bay towards Sainte-Maxime. Not to mention the flower-filled lanes of Ramatuelle and Grimaud with the most glorious far-reaching vistas of Saint-Tropez bay.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CalmeVilla Calme is located in a residential area of Saint-Tropez less than a 10-minute walk from the historic centre of one of the French Riveira’s most desirable destinations.
Saint-Tropez is home to a variety of restaurants from traditional bistros to high-end establishments - advanced reservations are often necessary, especially in the summer months. Stock up on groceries in one of the town’s small supermarkets or drive to the area around Port Cogolin for larger hypermarkets. The twice-weekly Provençal market at Place des Lices (600m) is a wonderful way to treat yourselves to seasonal produce and regional delights.
Potter around Saint Tropez’s narrow lanes coming across pretty squares and fountains, café terraces, glamourous boutiques and the bustling harbour with luxurious yachts. Experience both the glitzy vibe of the town as well as the historic charm – look out for colourful houses lining the waterfront of this former fishing village and the baroque-style church in the old quarter. Climb to the top of the historic citadel for stunning views of Saint-Tropez Bay.
Ferries depart Saint-Tropez’s harbour towards Port Grimaud and Sainte-Maxime, both lovely days out, or venture further afield along the coast. Boat excursions and sight-seeing tours are a great to appreciate the beauty of the French Riviera from the sea.
Whilst there are a couple of small town beaches near Saint-Tropez, the best stretch of coastline is Plage de Pampelonne (6km) with a wide range of summer watersports as well as exclusive beach clubs such as Nikki Beach and Le Club 55.
Other activities include golf near Saint-Tropez, Beauvallon and Sainte-Maxime, the Polo Resort & Country Club De Saint-Tropez, wine-tastings at châteaux and vineyards near Gassin or La Croix Valmer, as well as walking, hiking, cycling and horse-riding opportunities by the coast and across the Côte d’Azur hinterland.
For a change of scene, drive to the trio of picture-perfect villages near Saint-Tropez – Ramatuelle, Gassin and Grimaud - for flower-filled lanes, excellent restaurants and the most beautiful views of the bay.

Region
Once a traditional fishing village, Saint-Tropez is now one of the most glamourous destinations of the Côte d’Azur and welcomes visitors from across the world.
However, there’s more to Saint-Tropez bay than exclusive beach clubs, glitzy boutiques and fine dining restaurants. From the family-friendly beaches of Sainte-Maxime to the vineyards of La Croix Valmer, Oliver’s Travels guests can truly admire this enchanting corner of the French Riviera whilst staying in one of our handpicked villas in and around Saint-Tropez.
Soak up the luxurious yet laidback vibe of Saint-Tropez as you wander around its marina lined with huge yachts contrasting colourful fishermen’s houses overlooking the bay. The old quarter is a warren of winding lanes with French designer boutiques, picturesque cafes and restaurants whilst Place des Lices hosts a vibrant Provençal market on a Tuesday and Saturday morning. Enjoy the most glorious vistas from Saint-Tropez’s 17th century citadel and maritime museum. Boat trips are another superb way to tour this part of the coast and passenger ferries cross the bay.
Just south of the town, follow Brigitte Bardot’s footsteps as you visit one of Plage de Pampelonne’s exclusive beach clubs, the most famous being Le Club 55 (always book well in advance). Stretching over 5km, Pampelonne’s long sandy beach is also loved for its vast range of summer watersports including jet-skiing, windsurfing and paddleboarding.
The picture-perfect villages of Saint-Tropez bay are beautifully located to make the most of the French Riviera scenery. On the hillside overlooking Plage de Pampelonne, Ramatuelle has attracted artists and writers over the years and is full of charm – look out for performances during its theatre and jazz festivals in the summer months. Meanwhile, hilltop Gassin is classified as one of France’s 'Plus Beaux Villages’ whilst flower-filled Grimaud is such a pretty medieval village with yet more stunning views of the coast.
Driving into the Maures hills, discover the characterful villages of La Garde-Freinet and Le Plan-de-la-Tour surrounded by oak and chestnut forests, a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, horse-riding enthusiasts and other outdoor adventurists.
Back to the coast, take a boat tour of Port Grimaud, known as the ‘little Venice of the Côte d’Azur’, and experience its atmospheric Monday evening summer market. Across the other side of the bay, Sainte-Maxime is a lovely sheltered seaside town with pretty cafes, a daily market and gorgeous beaches. Families adore this area – there are tree-top adventures, tennis, mini-golf, a water park and coastal paths for biking and hiking.
Golf-lovers can appreciate a choice of courses – Golf Blue Green as well as the prestigious Beauvallon Golf Club and Golf Club Saint-Tropez. Wine connoisseurs should head to the wine châteaux of Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne as well as the vineyards of La Croix Valmer.
Not forgetting the idyllic shores of soft sand and crystal-clear sea of La Croix Valmer’s coastline from Plage de Sylvabelle to Plage de Gigaro, also home to a wonderful coastal walking trail with the most incredible flora and fauna alongside sensational views of the Mediterranean as you hike towards Cap Lardier and beyond.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesIt is fantastic to be just a short stroll from the heart of Saint-Tropez with its boutiques, restaurants, café-bars, ice-cream parlours and vibrant marina with luxurious yachts. Climb up to the historic citadel for incredible views of the bay and visit the fascinating Musée d'histoire maritime.
There are a couple of small town beaches within walking distance of the town centre, however the iconic Plage de Pampelonne (6km) is the best place to spend the day for sandy shores, watersports and exclusive beach clubs (do check age restrictions when reserving your place). In the summer months look out for paddle-boarding, canoeing, pedal boats, surfing/boogie boards, snorkelling and more. A little further afield, the more remote Plage de l'Escalet is another great spot for canoeing/kayaking and scuba-diving in incredible surroundings.
Back in Saint-Tropez, enjoy a skippered boat excursion or join a tour for sight-seeing, whale-watching or sunsets cruises. Ferries depart Saint-Tropez to other destinations along the French Riviera – both Port Grimaud and Sainte-Maxime are especially lovely for families.
Indeed, the seaside towns of Sainte-Maxime (15km) and Cavalaire-sur-Mer (18km) have both been awarded the ‘Famille Plus’ label, loved for their gorgeous beaches and family-friendly activities. The popular Aqualand waterpark is just outside Sainte-Maxime.
Other attractions in the Saint-Tropez and Grimaud area include mini-golf, the Azur amusement park (open summer evenings), go-karting, a tree-top adventure centre as well as horse-riding, cycling/biking opportunities and wonderful walks by the coast and Côte d’Azur hinterland.
