Overview
Villa Coco is a spacious and welcoming family home which can sleep six guests in elegant surroundings. With views over the dazzling blue sea and just 4km away from the town of Saint-Tropez, this is a wonderful place to stay with a few other couples or on a family trip.
The house is spread over two floors, with the living spaces on the first floor allowing uninterrupted views over the sea below. There is a living room on this floor with comfy sofas, armchairs and a large stone fireplace, a dining room for gathering together over an evening meal, and a fully-fitted kitchen. The modern kitchen is well-designed with all the appliances you could need. All of these rooms open out onto furnished terraces to make the most of the climate; this space is ideal for drinks as the sun goes down, as you can move from the living room to the terrace with ease and light the fire in colder months.
The bedrooms are all set on the ground floor; there is a master suite which boasts a comfortable king-sized bed, dressing room, office space and a large bathroom with an inviting bath. The room leads straight to the poolside and outdoor seating so that you can take in the views with your morning coffee. The other two bedrooms are just as lovely, with neutral décor, garden access and en-suite bathrooms. On this level, there is also a snug TV room.
As a nearby 5* hotel manages the villa, you will be welcomed in style with a glass of champagne and a concierge service while still maintaining your privacy in the independent villa.
As you step outside the villa, you will find yourself in a picturesque garden with sea views. The garden is filled with trees and shrubs and offers three furnished terraces for dining and unwinding in the sun. Whether you would like to take a dip in the private pool or unwind in the jacuzzi, there is plenty of space for everyone in your party out here. The garden also lends itself to outdoor dining as you can prepare meals in the summer kitchen in the studio or on the barbecue before eating together al-fresco.
If you would prefer to go out for dinner, then why not reserve a table at the hotel’s gourmet hotel or alternatively drive into the centre of Saint-Tropez, only 4km away. Saint-Tropez is known as a magnet for those arriving to the Riviera by yacht and for celebrities, so in town, you will discover lots of boutique and designer stores, chic restaurants and cocktail bars and exclusive beach clubs.

Saint-Tropez is also steeped in history, and if you head up to the imposing 17th-century Citadel, you will find the local museum. From being destroyed in the 12th century to being repopulated by wealthy noble families centuries later, you can trace the emergence of the Saint-Tropez we see today and take in amazing views from the top of the fortress.
This area is lined with fantastic beaches, so many that you could visit a new one each day. There is also a sailing school on one side of Plage de la Moune which offers classes and a range of water sports. If you would like to lounge on a sun bed and dine at an exclusive eateries head over to Pampelonne beach, the most famous beach in the area and a great place to spend the day.
Heading inland from Saint-Tropez, you could visit Gassin, 6km away from the villa. Those who enjoy outdoor pursuits can head out from the village on cycling and hiking routes or visit the nearby golf course.
Another nearby village you could visit is Ramatuelle, which is 10km away and a fascinating place built as a haven for locals to escape from invading pirates. Region
Once a traditional fishing village, Saint-Tropez is now one of the most glamourous destinations of the Côte d’Azur and welcomes visitors from across the world.
However, there’s more to Saint-Tropez bay than exclusive beach clubs, glitzy boutiques and fine dining restaurants. From the family-friendly beaches of Sainte-Maxime to the vineyards of La Croix Valmer, Oliver’s Travels guests can truly admire this enchanting corner of the French Riviera whilst staying in one of our handpicked villas in and around Saint-Tropez.
Soak up the luxurious yet laidback vibe of Saint-Tropez as you wander around its marina lined with huge yachts contrasting colourful fishermen’s houses overlooking the bay. The old quarter is a warren of winding lanes with French designer boutiques, picturesque cafes and restaurants whilst Place des Lices hosts a vibrant Provençal market on a Tuesday and Saturday morning. Enjoy the most glorious vistas from Saint-Tropez’s 17th century citadel and maritime museum. Boat trips are another superb way to tour this part of the coast and passenger ferries cross the bay.
Just south of the town, follow Brigitte Bardot’s footsteps as you visit one of Plage de Pampelonne’s exclusive beach clubs, the most famous being Le Club 55 (always book well in advance). Stretching over 5km, Pampelonne’s long sandy beach is also loved for its vast range of summer watersports including jet-skiing, windsurfing and paddleboarding.
The picture-perfect villages of Saint-Tropez bay are beautifully located to make the most of the French Riviera scenery. On the hillside overlooking Plage de Pampelonne, Ramatuelle has attracted artists and writers over the years and is full of charm – look out for performances during its theatre and jazz festivals in the summer months. Meanwhile, hilltop Gassin is classified as one of France’s 'Plus Beaux Villages’ whilst flower-filled Grimaud is such a pretty medieval village with yet more stunning views of the coast.
Driving into the Maures hills, discover the characterful villages of La Garde-Freinet and Le Plan-de-la-Tour surrounded by oak and chestnut forests, a paradise for hikers, mountain bikers, horse-riding enthusiasts and other outdoor adventurists.
Back to the coast, take a boat tour of Port Grimaud, known as the ‘little Venice of the Côte d’Azur’, and experience its atmospheric Monday evening summer market. Across the other side of the bay, Sainte-Maxime is a lovely sheltered seaside town with pretty cafes, a daily market and gorgeous beaches. Families adore this area – there are tree-top adventures, tennis, mini-golf, a water park and coastal paths for biking and hiking.
Golf-lovers can appreciate a choice of courses – Golf Blue Green as well as the prestigious Beauvallon Golf Club and Golf Club Saint-Tropez. Wine connoisseurs should head to the wine châteaux of Saint-Tropez and Pampelonne as well as the vineyards of La Croix Valmer.
Not forgetting the idyllic shores of soft sand and crystal-clear sea of La Croix Valmer’s coastline from Plage de Sylvabelle to Plage de Gigaro, also home to a wonderful coastal walking trail with the most incredible flora and fauna alongside sensational views of the Mediterranean as you hike towards Cap Lardier and beyond.
