Overview
Villa des Pins sits in a private and tranquil setting just a short drive to the lovely Provencal village of Tavernes, with Barjols just a 10-minute drive away and the sea just an hour away. Situated in the Haut Var, this is the gateway to the French Riviera so all the excitement of that area is also at your doorstep.
It’s the ideal place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday in an idyllic setting amidst large gardens filled with olive and pine trees, lavender and roses and a large private swimming pool.
Located at the end of a private no through road, it’s the perfect place for families and friends. The delightful villa has been restored to combine modern convenience with quaint charm. From one side of the living area is access to two large double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, with one having direct access to a private terrace. The other side houses one double, and one twin bedroom, sharing a family bathroom. There is also an additional WC off the main living room. The recently renovated kitchen and large living area contain all you need for cooking and relaxing.
Outside there are sun loungers by the pool as well as various seating areas, all equipped with umbrellas, around the gardens. A large table and chairs, accessed directly from the kitchen and living areas provides a fantastic outdoor seating area to enjoy meals and barbecues. There is also a swing set and slide to keep children entertained.
The village of Tavernes is nearby with its own small supermarket, bakery, café and restaurant (with two larger supermarkets just a short drive away). The spectacular Gorges du Verdon is only a 40-minute drive away and is a beautiful natural masterpiece, perfect for hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing and white water rafting, or for simply enjoying the breathtaking scenery and a day by Lac St Croix.
The beautiful university town of Aix-en-Provence is also an easy hour’s drive away as is Draguignan, the French Riviera and the Mediterranean Sea. There is also a lively weekly market in nearby Fox-Amphoux.

Additionally, the glamourous town of Aix-en-Provence is unmissable, with its numerous museums, winding streets and multiple pavement cafes. There is so much to see and discover in this idyllic town, you will struggle to see everything in one day!
Further places of interest include Le Lac de Saint Croix and the Gorges du Verdon which are about half an hour away for great days out with plenty of water sports to be enjoyed on the lake, and Gorges du Verdon widely considered the most beautiful canyon in Europe. Grab your hiking boots and explore the gorgeous natural landscapes surrounding the villa.
The glamorous French Riviera and the famous port of St Tropez is about an hour and a half away and is certainly worth a visit to admire the super yachts and to catch a glimpse of the rich and famous!

Wonderfully Secluded
What can we say, this villa is beautiful. The area is breathtaking and the locals are friendly. The on-site team are very helpful and diligent and the owner made sure we were happy at every step of our holiday. The villa has great facilities especially for the larger groups (there is seven of us) and everything was amazing for the type of get away we were looking for! The pool is unheated but members of our group found that really refreshing as it seemed to sit at about 23c. Would happily visit again.

A lovely place to spend time
Just a really lovely place to spend time - the villa is spacious and designed to stay cool in the heat, with a deep verandah and plenty of airflow, and the various outside spaces are lovely (even if the garden is rather untamed). The trees around the pool ensure there is always some shade. Plenty to see and do nearby, including renting canoes from nearby Quinson to explore the spectacular Verdon Gorge. Hope to be back!

Much needed break from Covid news
We've had the most wonderful week at Villa Des Pins, even more so as it’s given us a much-needed break from Covid news. It's been so relaxing and the few times we have been able to drag ourselves away we’ve had wonderful trips to Quinson, Gorge Du Verdon and the beach at Sainte-Maxime.
Thank you especially to Vincent and Delphine for their warm welcome and a spotlessly clean house. -
Wonderful week
Thank you for a wonderful week in your lovely and welcoming home. We were enchanted by the region too – paddleboarding at Lake Quinson, hanging around Cotignac and the other surprisingly beautiful and authentic villages all around.
Gorgeous views, stunning vegetation and always nice to come back to the pool. We will be back! -
Each day has been a delight
Thank you for a gorgeous week in this lovely house. It has been perfect for lazy days around the pool and as a base for exploring the area. Canoeing along the gorge from Quinson is unmissable, and the village itself is worth a stroll. Cotignac is beautiful and charming, Bauduen is spectacularly situated, and we had a lovely afternoon/evening in the golden sunshine in Aix. From the early morning smell of lavender and pine to the spectacular night sky, each day has been a delight.

Very good for our holiday!
Great for kids and comfortable shady garden options. Comfortable and relaxed. Vincent and Daphibe were very helpful. It was a little too hot but it was not our problem.

Really impressed with everything
We were met on arrival by the host and made to feel very welcome. I was really impressed with how smooth everything was set out; the house itself is beautiful and we liked the way the family has managed to modernise certain parts of the house, such as the kitchen, whilst keeping a real French rustic theme. The gardens are amazing and the property has a lovely pool with ample sun loungers. It is close to a number of vineyards and is just a short walk to a small village with an amazing bakery. Do not leave without trying the small pizzas!
The house has good Wi-Fi and has a large terrace and table for evening al fresco dining. It is tucked away off the main road which gives absolute silence to the guests and has amazing view of the stars each evening. It is a great base for touring the region with lots of days out within driving distance. The house was immaculate and we will definitely be back.

Can't wait to visit again!
I cannot speak highly enough of Villa des Pins. My family have stayed there twice and hope to return again before too long. The house is beautiful and has been sympathetically refurbished to a very high standard. High on my list of priorities is cleanliness and to this end I couldn't fault it. We had children in our party and we were able to contain them safely in an enclosed part of the garden.
The outside space is huge and it is lovely to walk around the grounds. The swimming pool is beautiful and ideal for an early morning swim under the pine trees. The local villages are just what I hoped to find and we loved the local markets. We can't wait to visit again.
