Region
Languedoc-Roussillon is one of those areas of France where you can feel like you’re totally cut off from the rest of the country. Commercial tourism has been very slow to capitalise on the region, meaning you can still enjoy a slice of authentic French rural life at its finest. A mixture of landscapes also makes it a great place to visit, with a good stretch of coastline offering a totally different experience to more bucolic interiors. Whatever you’re looking for, our range of villas and chateaux in Languedoc means you can get exactly the kind of holiday you want with accommodation that’s perfectly tailored to you, your friends and your family.
Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesLook no further for a child-friendly getaway! With extensive countryside surrounding Villa Des Ponts, the outdoor playground is endless. Explore Haut-Languedoc Regional Natural Park, which is great for outdoor activities. There are plenty of mountain bike routes, running trails and cycling too, set amidst beautiful and diverse landscapes.
For the more adventurous, take the family on a day out to Canoe Roquebrun, which is only a short drive away from Villa Des Ponts. Rather, explore the hidden cave Grotte de la Fileuse de Verre ; be prepared to learn about speleology and natural sciences and for sure be ready to climb more than one hundred steps to the end.
A little further afield you will find the stunning Cathédrale Saint-Just et Saint-Pasteur, whose soaring ceilings and naves are impressive. Thie cathedral sets itself apart by the wonderful carvings about the pipe organs, the gargoyles outside and the unfinished structures attached to it.
