The sleek open-plan kitchen adds to the contemporary vibe of the living space where family and friends can relax in fine surroundings. Step outside and you can be enjoying evening aperitifs in the outdoor lounge before dining al-fresco by the barbecue in this fantastic setting.
There are five bedrooms over the villa’s three floors, each having their own Plasma TV, I-Pod docking station and luxurious bathrobes and toiletries in their ensuite bath or shower rooms. Enjoy magnificent sea-views from the first-floor master bedroom with its waterbed and beautiful bathroom and step outside to relax on the upper terrace which can also be reached from another sea-facing double room.
Other exciting features include a cinema room, a sauna and a fitness room and there are many other activities from table tennis to the paddleboard, kayaks and wakeboards that are available for guests to use. In addition, the owners can arrange an extra package for you that includes boat hire and jet-skiing or parasailing during your stay.
Not forgetting the incredible swimming pool with its unique glass wall where you can cool off on warm summer afternoons. Just a few steps below the swimming pool is a delightful garden where guests can soak up the sun or perhaps seek shade under the ancient olive tree, gazing at the swaying palms.
It’s just a brief stroll from Villa Verre Et Mer to the sandy beach, part of a formerly wild yet still beautiful coastline. There’s an excellent beach restaurant here, open in the summer months, which also hires out sun-loungers or you may just prefer to find your perfect spot for a day relaxing by the sea with lovely views of nearby Sète and Mont Clair.
Sète is a characterful fishing village only 5km away where you can dine in some amazing restaurants, explore the canals or take a boat trip to the lagoon, Étang de Thau, famous for its oysters that you will no doubt try during your stay. Other wonderful places to explore include Mèze, Pézenas and the city of Montpellier whilst there are many other great seaside towns with brilliant beaches alive with summer activity.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa Verre Et MerVilla Verre Et Mer is set in an enviable location just a couple of minutes stroll from a beautiful Languedoc beach and within walking distance to a couple of beach restaurants open in the season (usually April to September but this can vary).
In a residential area facing the sea, you only need to step out of your home, wander across a picturesque park and within less than 250m you’ll be stepping on the soft sand. This part of the coastline, arguably the finest in the Mediterranean, stretches several kilometres and there are lovely views towards the town of Sète and Mont St-Clair. You’ll also some beach restaurants including one which is extremely popular with locals and well as tourists, serving great food and wine and also has its own private part of the beach with sun loungers and umbrellas.
Sète itself is an authentic fishing town full of character and only 5km away by car. Watch fishermen bring in the catch of the day at the harbour then enjoy dining in one of the wonderful fish restaurants. Explore the local streets and take a boat trip along the many canals. The town is also backed by the Étang de Thau, famous for its oysters that are found across the region. Also, head to Mont St-Clair for incredible views, the hill around which Sète lies.
This is an area alive with activities. Nearby you will find tennis, horse-riding, go-karting, water parks, activity parks as well as magnificent wine tours of local châteaux. Golf lovers have a choice of courses in the Languedoc, including the brilliant Golf Cap d'Agde (22km) and there are plenty of marked walking and cycling trails. Adventurers will love the tree-top climbing centre near Montagnac at La Forêt d'Acrobates (36km), where you can enjoy amazing views from some of the courses as well as enjoy zip-wires, archery, canoeing, kayaking, climbing and caving.
Events and festivities that typically take place in Sète includes the annual ‘Worldwide Music Festival’ in late June or early July (with some events taking place at the nearby beachside restaurant and along the beach), a traditional boats exhibition in mid-April and the Saint Louis Festival in mid-August with beachside festivities and jousting tournaments on the canal.
The city of Montpellier makes for a brilliant day trip with its historic old town, pretty boutiques and excellent restaurants whilst other interesting towns and villages are within a short drive such as Mèze (25km), Pézenas (35km), Montagnac (40km) and Béziers (45km). Marseillan Plage (15km) and Cap d’Agade (23km) are other seaside resorts with plenty of watersports and activities nearby.
Other places worthy of a day trip include the magnificent fortified town of Carcassone (125km), the impressive Roman aquaduct at Pont du Gard (120km) and one of the most beautiful villages in France, Saint Guilhem le Désert (64km); all three of them are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

The perfect holiday
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your wonderful villa.
We had the most beautiful time. The villa offered everything we could have possibly hoped for and more. The private garden and gorgeous pool were a highlight for the whole family, but the gym and the cinema room equally provided great entertainment.
The location was incredible. We had a car-free holiday, frequently using the lovely bikes for daily visits to the bakery for breakfast and pizza for lunch. On market day, we took the bikes to Sète to experience the authentic French Market. We returned with Mackeral from the fish market and had the most delicious BBQ on the private terrace.
As recommended, we visited the many accessible beach bars for dinner. We enjoyed a walk along the beach, searching for shells before taking the two-minute walk to the house.
All in all, it was the perfect holiday. The house is multigenerational, enabling a family of 7 of a range of ages to have the best possible experience.
The only issue was that we had to go home!!! -

We all enjoyed our stay at your lovely villa.
The villa is in a lovely location with easy access to a magnificent long sandy beach with a range of beach restaurants.
Excellent accommodation throughout with good size rooms all with on suite facilities, air conditioning and ample storage ( hanging and drawers ) for clothes.
The kitchen is very well stocked with crockery, glasses, and every type of utensil you require to prepare meals. Large tables both indoors and outside excellent for family groups. Two large fridges and freezers ensure that even in the hottest of days your food is kept fresh.
For the more active in the group there is a well fitted out gym and bikes and body boards.
Outside by the pool there is a large gas barbecue
The swimming pool is situated between the house and a pleasant private garden with sun loungers. -
True gem
This has been the most relaxing and quality vacation I have experienced until now. This villa I would like to call it my home. It has it all... fitness gear, cinema-room for up to 12 people with comfortable lounge seats, sauna, year through heated pool, incredible sundeck with loungers, lots of space (up to 450m2 the owner told me), comfortable and large bedrooms with king size beds, and even a waterbed in the master, all with their ensuite bathrooms and individual toilets, private garden no Neighbour views... This is an absolute winner!! The villa has also been rewarded and participated several times on French television as being "unique". The sandy beach is 2 steps away from the villa. I can understand why the owner and his family only rents 4 months a year and occupy 8 months themselves.. Also, we found the villa clients and his owner had a very respectful reputation with the local restaurants. This might be one of the, if not the only, true gem of Sète.
My family will profit for sure again next year. -
5 star experience
Villa Verre et Mer is a fabulous Villa in a magnificent location. Firstly the Villa itself exceeded our expectations and lived up to the description on the website. It was home from home for us and had every luxury we required including space, privacy, well stocked kitchen and very comfortable living areas, the swimming pool, outdoor verandas and fabulous cinema room. We enjoyed using the bicycles and taking daily walks along the beach. The city is accessible by bike and has a lovely market and coffee shops. We had one query about the WiFi and Mickael was very attentive and on hand immediately to sort it out. Overall five star experience thanks for a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning again next year.

The most exclusive and single top-located
This villa is the most exclusive and single top-located of just 5 beachfront villas in Sète. It's your home away from home. Not just furnished for seasonal rental but spacious, cosy and furnished inside and outside with the most exclusive and comfortable furniture. Superb swimming pool and sundeck! Villa-owner is a friend of the beach restaurant owner, so that's a plus :), always priority and availability on beach sun-loungers and diner reservation. Just say the name of the villa or the owner to Claude or his wife. The sandy beach touches your backyard, it's just like 1 minute on foot. Villa services and facilities were superb, we had chef-at-home service if requested and the villa crew was available anytime and very response if needed. We spend two weeks this summer (2023) and if not for work-related issues, I would have extended our stay for another week. Will return for sure !!

What we experienced exceeded our expectations
Incredible!! all arrangements were perfect!. Flight arrival guidance from welcome host Mickael, (as we arrived at the villa late at night due to our flight schedule). We found a home we settled in and felt comfortable right away. What we experienced the following days and along our stay exceeded our expectations. Comfy bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, ideal location, sun-exposed with excellent sundeck for shade, view on the demitarian, and 1 minute to the 13 km long sandy beach.
