Overview
Cottage Du Château Trois Tours is set in glorious grounds just a few minutes from the vast beaches of the Alabaster coastline, between the attractive towns of Dieppe and Fécamp, a fine position for exploring this part of Normandy and beyond.
Part of a large and historic estate (see Château Trois Tours), this lovely cottage is set in its own private gardens. With modern interiors contrasting picture-book charm, this three-bedroom home is perfect for families or a small group of friends seeking a Normandy ambience in a beautiful setting.
It’s a delightful place to stay at any time of year whether cosying up in the comfy lounge and enjoying delicious feasts in the dining room or spending time outdoors dining al-fresco as summer hydrangeas bloom and you can really appreciate the wonderful outdoor space around you.
You are neighbours with the grand 17th-century Château Trois Tours, separated by a high wall and gate, an impressive château which is listed with the French National Trust – admire from afar its distinctive three towers which were added in the 1800s.
Sport-loving guests should note there is a tennis club nearby as well as an 18-hole golf course and horse-riding within a short drive. Discover a range of summer watersports in the local village with its beach and café-bars or enjoy time in Saint-Valery-en-Caux, admiring its pretty port and stunning views of the famous white cliffs.
Veules les Roses is also easily reached, only 15km away, where you can walk along the idyllic river looking out for watermills, thatched cottages and wildlife or head to the beach with its promenade and pier, making sure you sample some famous ‘Veulaise’ oysters.
There are so many more Normandy delights to sample at atmospheric markets and restaurants across local towns from fish stew and scallops to local cheeses, calvados and even watercress from the Veules river.
Other highlights of Normandy include Rouen and Le Havre as well as the enchanting seaside towns of Deauville and Honfleur. That said, you may prefer to stay closer to home and take long walks along the incredible Pays de Caux coastline of Alabaster white cliffs, superb beaches and amazing valleys in this fantastic part of the Seine-Maritime.

Location
About the surrounding area of Cottage Du Chateau Trois ToursCottage Du Château Trois Tours is located in the Seine-Maritime department of northern France, only a 4km drive to the Pays de Caux coast, a fine position for exploring this part of Normandy and beyond.
The cottage is set within its own private grounds, next to the grand Château Trois Tours – both properties are separated by a high wall and a gate (which is open if the cottage and château are booked together).
Hop in the car and the coast is within a 5-minute drive, home to a beach, a sailing school with a range of watersports, an attractive promenade for lovely walks, a couple of café-bars and a casino. Further amenities including the local boulangerie and shops can be found in Saint-Valery-en-Caux, reached in around ten minutes by car, or spend time in Cany-Barville (8km) which is especially charming on a Monday morning with its atmospheric market.
This area is perfect for activity lovers with a golf course and tennis courts just a 5-minute drive away and horse-riding not much further. There is even a flying school close by if you feel like experiencing the beauty of Normandy from the sky!
With its Alabaster white cliffs, this part of Normandy is beautiful and there are some stunning spots dotted along the coastline. One of these is Veules les Roses (12km), classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ with thatched cottages, pretty watermills and the Veules river – no wonder this village is especially loved by artists. Its beach is also fantastic with a pier, promenade and beach huts. At the weekend look out for little stalls selling the famous salt and freshwater oysters from this region, known as Veulaise.
Varengeville-sur-Mer (32km) is another picturesque village by the coast with charming houses and scenery. The Bois des Moutiers are one of the beautiful gardens close to the village and another highlight is the incredible Valleuse de Vasterival, a valley which separates the high cliffs leading to the sea.
Within an hour you can reach the iconic white cliffs of Étretat, perhaps combined with historic Fécamp (30km), or drive onwards to the interesting town of Le Havre (75km), a UNESCO World Heritage site thanks to its post-war architecture designed by Auguste Perret. Heading east, Dieppe (40km) is another fine day out with its fascinating maritime heritage, atmospheric marina and many restaurants – try local specialities such as fish stew and scallops.
Other day trips include the enchanting seaside towns of Honfleur (73km) and Deauville (98km), or for a change of scene Rouen (66km) is a handsome university city on the banks of the Seine. You could even drive as far as Monet’s gardens at Giverny, around 140km, loved by visitors from across the world.

The local village by the sea is also home to mini-golf on summer afternoons whilst horse-riding opportunities can be found a short drive away.
Of course, the coastline is a great attraction for families with wonderful beaches and Alabaster white cliffs. Saint-Valery-en-Caux, about a 10-minute drive away, has beachside restaurants, stunning cliff views and lovely walks around the port. Young historians can also learn about the town’s role in World War Two.
