Apartment Madeline can be found in the 1st arrondissement and is in the heart of Paris’ Theatre District. A perfect spot for lovers of the arts, the famous Comédie-Français is a pleasant 7-minute stroll taking in the beautiful, landscaped gardens of Jardin du Palais Royal, along your way. Theatre lovers will be spoilt for choice, from the Michodière to the Athénée. Gastronomes will be more than satisfied with the vast array of local restaurants and bistros serving not only local cuisine but dishes from all around the world.
This charming apartment has two bedrooms and is decorated embracing the style of contemporary artist Marc Duran. After a ride in the lift to the 5th floor in a building of Haussmannian character, you will be pleased to find that it combines both original architectural features and modern home comforts. With wood flooring throughout and large shuttered windows in most rooms the first impression is of a light and airy space.
From the Entrance Lobby the living and entertaining space is bathed in light thanks to the large double-aspect windows that open to a wrap-around balcony offering spectacular views of the rooftops of Paris. A perfect place to sip some delicious French wine and watch the world go by. Tastefully furnished with two modern armchairs and a sofa which can be transformed into a double bed, it is possible to accommodate two further guests, maybe for a family or group of friends travelling together. There is also a contemporary dining area and flat screen television.
Accessed from the living area or Entrance Lobby is the first of two double bedrooms, decorated in calming shades of buttermilk and grey, this room offers large windows and access to the balcony. A further door takes you to the second bedroom which hosts an original fireplace, flat screen television, access to the balcony and a Jack and Jill bathroom which can also be reached from the Entrance Lobby. The bright modern bathroom boasts a bath with shower over, WC, washbasin, and heated towel rail. The large well-equipped kitchen can be found to the right of the Entrance Lobby has two windows, one with street views and the other with a view of the courtyard. Here you will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. A small breakfast table for two could be just the place to share a steaming hot coffee and freshly baked croissant before heading out to enjoy all Paris has to offer.

Within walking distance are many attractions including the Richelieu site of the Bibliothèque national de France. With free access to the garden, bookshop, bakery the late 19th century architecturally stunning Salle Ovalle. As you are in the theatre district, why not visit the Moliere Fountain built during the 19th century to honour France’s most famous playwright. With the arts and culture in mind a visit to The Louvre and the Mona Lisa is an absolute must, as is The Rodin Museum and his famous sculpture of The Thinker. With the three metro stations and the same number of bus stops all less than 5 minutes away the whole of Paris and its multitudes of attractions, galleries, museums and landmarks will be open to you. After a long day of sightseeing what could be better than a relaxing cruise along the river Seine? Imagine sitting in the moonlight enjoying a glass of Champagne and delicious French cuisine whilst experiencing a truly unique and breath-taking view of some of the city’s most famous sites.

Start off on the right bank in Le Marais, the Jewish quarter, with its boutiques, old bakeries and kiosks selling delicious falafel (expect a queue!) – take a guided walking tour to learn all about this neighbourhood’s heritage. On the other side of the river, soak up the student ambience of the Latin Quarter, home to La Sorbonne, and sip coffee on a café terrace on Boulevard Saint-Germain for a truly iconic Parisian experience.
Meanwhile, a walk around Jardin du Luxembourg is a must, especially for families who will adore the little boats by the fountain, donkey rides, carrousel and a popular new playground (with an entry fee). Pack a picnic and sit on a bench beneath the shady trees as you people watch Parisians and tourists alike making the most of this atmospheric park.
Keen shoppers will appreciate the likes of Galeries Lafayette as well as the luxury stores of the Champs-Elysées. If you are visiting Le Centre Pompidou, you could also walk up to the vast Forum des Halles for recognisable brands in central Paris. Not forgetting the many markets from the twice-weekly Bastille Market selling delicious food to the sprawling weekend flea market at Marché aux Puces de St-Ouen that dates back to the late 19th century.
Embrace the romantic ambience of Paris when you walk by the river on La Rive Droite with beautiful views as you pass Île Saint-Louis and Île de la Cité. It’s especially lovely as evening nears with vibrant bars by the riverside whilst children will love the play areas and climbing walls as you stroll. Look out for the Eiffel Tower in the far distance which sparkles so magically on the hour from dusk.

Although Paris has a romantic reputation even kid’s will be excited to see the word famous landmarks of the city. There are plenty of fun things for them to do and many of the city’s attractions are surprisingly family friendly.
Aqua boulevard Water Park is well worth a visit with exciting indoor and outdoor pools and eleven giant water slides. Open all year, it's a perfect day out for families.
What child doesn’t like chocolate? An afternoon spent at Choco Story exploring the history of chocolate in all its glory. A tasting and treasure hunt should satisfy the sweetest tooth. Other attractions to entertain could be Jardin d’Acclimatation, an amusement park with rides play areas, and horse riding. L ’Aquarium de Paris offers different shows and workshops.
How about trying the Musée en Herbe? An exciting place for kids to have fun whilst discovering artists like Picasso, Giacometti, or Basquiat. With workshops from the age of 2 years to 12 years there is something for all age groups.
