Maison Ballerine is an elegant country villa set within walking distance to the idyllic village of Bonnieux in the Provençal region of Luberon.

This beautiful home is air-conditioned throughout and features eight gorgeous bedrooms, each with their own WC and bathroom. Step outside and enjoy long summer days in the stunning gardens with a spacious heated swimming pool, majestic trees and terraces for leisurely al-fresco dining after preparing feasts in the pizza oven. The possibility to use a sauna and hot tub adds a touch of luxury whilst families will adore the play area with ping-pong, table football and more. Region

With some of the most enchanting landscapes of Provence, the Luberon awaits with its idyllic perched villages, swathes of lavender, cherry trees, vineyards and dense forest.

Become captivated by the scenery as you potter around artistic Gordes with its atmospheric Tuesday morning market before heading to hilltop Ménerbes, the village that inspired Peter Mayle’s ‘A Year in Provence’. Romantic Bonnieux enjoys the most glorious vistas, surrounded by a sea of vines and orchards, whilst red-hued Roussillon will take your breath away with its ochre landscapes and pine forests. They are all officially classified as ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ in France.

Yet there are so many hidden gems to explore as well. Discover the historic doorways, windmills and summer cherries of Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt, then head to Goult to embrace its Provençal charm with little shops and pavement cafes. Surrounded by fields of lavender, Saint-Saturnin-lès-Apt is another historic jewel of the Luberon, often overshadowed by the handsome and historic town of Apt.

To the south of the Luberon, follow Albert Camus’ footsteps in Lourmarin, sip coffee by the picturesque bassin lined with plane trees in Cucuron and soak up the history of Ansouis – all three villages have a fine reputation for their high-end dining with a choice of Michelin starred restaurants.

Indeed, across the region look out for restaurant terraces serving Provençal cuisine with superb vistas alongside characterful markets showcasing seasonal delights from the Luberon and beyond (olives, melons, strawberries, cherries, truffles, chestnuts, lavender products and more). Most villages host a lovely weekly market whilst the largest in the Luberon is held on a Saturday morning in Apt. Just on the edge of the Luberon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is famed for its antique stores and Sunday morning brocante. Meanwhile, wine lovers should visit the vineyards and wineries of the region producing Luberon and Ventoux AOC wines.

The walking, hiking and cycling opportunities in the Luberon seem endless and you will also find horse-riding, rock-climbing and tree-top adventures as well as canoeing and kayaking along the Sorgue near Fontaine-de-Vaucluse. Come across hiking trails for all abilities passing vineyards and forest or venture through the hills and mountain gorges for spectacular scenery. Cycling is also extremely popular – as well as more challenging routes, we especially love the family-friendly Véloroute du Calavon, a paved voie verte following a former railway line near the Calavon river passing poppies, lavender and orchards so typical of the Luberon.

  • We loved our stay!

    Created on 21/12/2024

We had our wedding at home with both of our families and everything went as we hoped. The house is large and spacious and easily accommodated the needs of our 20 family members who were visiting from the US and UK. Our nieces and nephews loved using the hot tub, chess and trampoline. The adults loved cooking large meals in the kitchen and spending time in the spacious family room and dining areas, both indoors and out. The weather at the end of November was sunny and surprisingly warm and allowed us to enjoy several meals outside. We felt the house and grounds were the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. Aurélie was extremely helpful when we encountered issues with the devices and quickly helped us resolve the issues. Bonnieux is magnificent...we can't wait to go back!

  • Everything was perfect!

    on 28/09/2024

The house is magnificent, absolutely clean, very well equipped and arranged with care. The grounds are breathtaking and the facilities are just incredible. It’s a paradise for adults (barbecue, ping pong, jacuzzi, table football, fireplace for rainy days, sound system, 3 or 4 different terraces for dinner or lunch and so on)… but also for children (football cages, basketball, small cabin, zip line, trampoline). All this in a magnificent green setting and with a very kind, responsive and friendly host. In short, I have nothing to complain about. We were there to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends and children and everything came together to have an excellent stay. Only one desire: to come back and stay longer to enjoy the house and the region which is superb! Thank you Aurélie for your welcome

  • Magnificent house

    on 14/09/2024

Aurélie is very available and attentive, we will come back!

  • A beautiful villa

    on 27/07/2024

It was such a beautiful villa in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been! The amenities were exceptional and we immediately felt welcome. Wonderful memories for our family to cherish for years to come.

  • Truly incredible property.

    on 20/07/2024

It is a vintage farmhouse with all amenities including a perfect air conditioning system, modern bathrooms and kitchen.
The space is big enough for a large group and made for families. The swimming pool, the foosball table, the zip line were the features that the kids liked best.
The host was responsive by phone and text and very pleasant to deal with.
Externally, the setting of the property is one of a kind, serene and beautiful. It feels like it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's only 1 km from the picturesque town of Bonnieux, with its excellent restaurant options.
My extended family enjoyed the stay so much that they asked to visit us every year.

  • We loved this place

    on 05/07/2024

We stayed with family for almost 2 weeks. We loved this place inside and out. Perfect location central to many fantastic places to visit. Aurélie was a wonderful host. Overall, we will definitely come back!

  • Wonderful stay!

    on 29/06/2024

  • We would return without hesitation.

    on 24/02/2024

Aurélie was very responsive regarding the organization of our stay. The property, in a unique setting, is very well maintained and equipped. The rooms are very comfortable.

  • Stunning house

    on 06/08/2022

This stunning house is located in a private corner of the Provençal countryside, just 5 minutes from the picturesque village of Bonnieux. We visited as a large family and everyone from young children to grandparents loved the villa. There are plenty of comfortable places to relax, both indoors and out; and beyond the table football, ping pong, bocce, basketball, soccer, trampoline, small zip line and life-size chess set, much of our time was spent around the beautiful heated swimming pool and jacuzzi, or preparing meals in the well-stocked kitchen or outdoor barbecue. The land is charming and scented by pine trees and a small lavender field. Aurélie is truly wonderful, very friendly and responsive! And we were impressed by the warmth of the locals and enjoyed day trips to Gordes, Aix-en-Provence, Bonnieux Friday market and Marseille. It was a truly memorable trip.

  • An exceptional place

    on 28/05/2022

Aurélie’s house is simply sublime. We felt alone in the world during our stay and the Bonnieux market was great. Aurélie is an extraordinary host, she is very responsive, always offers solutions and even had nice touches towards us. I will never forget this incredible birthday in this exceptional place.

  • The stay was magical

    on 14/05/2022

The stay was magical, the setting idyllic and pleasant for an unforgettable family moment.
The host is very attentive and available, she was able to respond to all our requests.

  • What a wonderful weekend

    on 26/03/2022

The place is absolutely splendid and the house is breathtaking.
8 bedrooms each with its own bathroom and toilet. Amazing. The bedding is also really good.
Everything, absolutely everything is in good taste.
You can easily stay 1 week there without ever leaving the MAS and without ever getting bored.
Communication was really great as well.
    Too bad we didn't meet.
    Next time definitely!!
