Stay in an elegantly furnished villa with a 13m long swimming pool and pretty garden just a 15-minute stroll from one of Provence’s loveliest villages, Eygalières.
Maison Eliso offers spacious, air-conditioned interiors for up to 10 guests. Admire the impressive contemporary kitchen with its sociable kitchen island and a great range of appliances. Walk through the open arch to the chic dining room or step into the light-filled lounge with its comfortable sofas, grand fireplace and picture book window opening out to the garden.
All five bedrooms are attractively decorated with calming tones, each one featuring a private bath or shower room, some with walk-in wardrobes as well. There are two doubles on the ground floor (one in an annexe near the swimming pool) and three double bedrooms (one of which can be made up as a twin) upstairs.
This is a fine base for your relaxing holiday in Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park. The house is located in a pleasant residential area less than 1km from the village’s square with its pavement cafes, leading on to Eygalières’ main street with shady plane trees, shops and upmarket restaurants. It’s here that the delightful Friday morning market takes place, a wonderful way to stock up on Provençal produce.
Climb to the oldest part of the hilltop village for vistas of the glorious scenery – olive trees, green valleys, vines and the distance limestone peaks. Beyond the village, discover these beautiful landscapes by following walking, hiking or cycling trails through the pine forests and olive groves.
Elsewhere, visit the art galleries of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, the antique stores of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Avignon before returning to the Provençal charm of Eygalières.

About the surrounding area of Maison ElisoMaison Eliso is located in an attractive residential area a short walk from Eygalières, a picture-perfect village in Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park, around 30km south of Avignon.
It’s a 15-minute stroll along local roads (no pavement most of the way) to the village square with its pretty pavement cafes. Wander along Rue de la République passing its old stone houses, shady plane trees, shops and inviting restaurants including the Michelin starred Maison Hache. Walk further up the hill and you will find yourself in the oldest part of the village where you can enjoy views of the glorious surrounding landscapes of olive groves, green valleys and vines.
Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park is loved by walkers, hikers, cyclists and mountain bike enthusiasts – there are also opportunities for horse-riding and rock-climbing. Cycle from Eygalières towards Mouriès or Aureille (via the D24) and pass pine forests with dramatic views of the Pas de Figuières. As you approach Mouriès, the scenery changes to endless olive groves – this region produces some of the finest extra virgin olive oil in France.
Heading west instead, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is only 14km away for larger supermarkets and other useful amenities. Go on a Wednesday morning to experience the town’s wonderful weekly market or visit on any day of the week to soak up its vibrant ambience with café terraces, upmarket restaurants and art galleries.
Other highlights of Les Alpilles include Les Baux-de-Provence (22km), one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, and the charming village of Maussane-les-Alpilles (18km), a lovely place for lunch on the village square overlooking the fountain and church.
Meanwhile, discover the art and history of Van Gogh’s beloved Arles (37km), admire the incredible beauty of Le Pont du Gard (53km), explore the antique stores and Sunday morning brocante in L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (28km) or venture to the Luberon for idyllic perched villages such as Gordes and Ménerbes, both just over half an hour by car.

Beyond Les Alpilles, discover canoeing and kayaking along the Sorgue River close to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and a tree-top activity centre near Lagnes, Passerelles des Cîmes, with trails for a range of ages.
Meanwhile, art lovers can visit art galleries and museums in Saint-Rémy and Arles and follow the Van Gogh trail across both towns. Around half an hour away, Carrières des Lumières is a popular attraction where you can admire famous works of art projected on to quarry walls.
Slightly closer to home, L'Arche de Méo is a charming little farm where you can feed the animals or venture to the larger Parc Animalier de la Barben, around 45 minutes away, for a great family day out.
