Overview
A short distance from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Maison Serengeti is a vibrant and joyful holiday villa with a wonderful garden and swimming pool surrounded by pines, lavender and the summer colours of Provence.
Dine out on the wisteria-clad terrace, enjoy the tranquility of the al-fresco lounge overlooking the pretty garden, chill out in the shady pool house or worship the sun on the poolside terrace. The 2000m² of enclosed grounds are glorious and designed for long, leisurely days making the most of the Saint-Rémy sunshine.
Inside Maison Serengeti, the interiors are smart and stylish with attractive furnishings, bold artwork and objets d’art from the owners’ travels. There are four cosy and comfortable double bedrooms, two with air-conditioning upstairs, whilst the contemporary bathrooms feature walk-in Italian showers. Overall, it’s a fine holiday home for a family or small group of friends wishing to make the most of the beautiful surroundings and close proximity of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Explore the heart of the historic town, whether you wish to experience the atmospheric Wednesday morning market, enjoy lunch on a café terrace or dine out in a traditional French bistro in the evening. Come across little art galleries and follow the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh who created many of masterpieces during his time at Saint-Paul de Mausole monastery towards the end of his life.
Elsewhere across Les Alpilles, visit picture-perfect villages such as Eygalières, Maussane-les-Alpilles and Les Baux-de-Provence, classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’, then venture a little further afield to Van Gogh’s beloved Arles, famed for its artistic vibe and Roman heritage.
The mesmerising landscapes of the Luberon also await, as do the wild horses, pink flamingos and lagoons of the Camargue. Canoe or kayak near Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, seek treasures at the antique stores of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue and visit the historic sites of Avignon or Nîmes in this incredible and diverse part of southern France.
