Surrounded by a forest of pine trees, with olive trees and fields of lavender in the idyllic garden, this six-bedroom home is stunning both inside and out and is just a five-minute drive to the charming town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
This former farmhouse has been recently renovated to create a fine holiday home with an emphasis on bringing the outside in to the make the most of the glorious setting. The vast open-plan living space is impressive with arched windows and sliding doors leading straight out to the terrace and gardens. Admire the contemporary artwork adorning the walls, play table football and a game of billiards or simply relax in sofas across this peacefully flowing room. The elegant kitchen is the perfect convivial place to meet over a chilled glass of wine whilst keen cooks create a Provençal feast for family and friends. Dine al-fresco as the olive grove and swimming pool are romantically lit up in the evening.
Upstairs there are six bedrooms and five bathrooms, all beautifully presented across the first floor. With air-conditioning throughout, guests can experience the ultimate comfort on hot summer days in the Provençal heat. The graceful grounds feature swathes of lavender, 150 olive trees, flowering gardens and lawns surrounding the inviting swimming pool where you can catch a glimpse of the mountain peaks. This is picture-perfect Provence in every way.
Despite this rural idyll, it’s only a five-minute drive to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence with its winding lanes filled with artists displaying their work in charming galleries, excellent restaurants and an atmospheric traditional market every week. Head further afield, passing vineyards, olive groves and summer fields of sunflowers to discover delightful villages such as Les Baux-de-Provence, one of France’s acclaimed ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ and beautiful Maussane with its ancient olive mills and lovely bistros. Arles and Avignon are also worthy day-trips, both full of fascinating history so typical of this region.

Location
About the surrounding area of Sens et NatureIn true Provence, with stunning views of Les Alpilles Natural Park, Sens et Nature is set in 2.7 hectares of land, surrounded by a pine forest with direct access to hiking trails straight from the grounds. You can catch a glimpse of the majestic Alpilles mountain peaks from the terrace.
Despite this rural location, the charming town of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is around 2km away. Many artists live here, displaying their works of art in the town’s pretty art galleries and boutiques. In the summer months, on selected Sundays, the ‘Route des Artistes’ fills with local artists showing off their work creating a wonderful and bustling atmosphere. The most well-known artist who has resided here is of course Vincent Van Gogh and you can visit the famous asylum St Paul de Mausole, where he created 150 paintings including ‘Starry Night’.
There’s a lovely market to visit on a Wednesday morning whilst food-lovers will also appreciate the many restaurants in the town from low-key bistros to Michelin starred establishments.
In Les Alpilles Natural Park, you are in the heart of a region filled with vineyards and olive groves – tastings can be arranged at local wineries or olive mills (especially around Maussane, 11km away, where some of Provence’s finest olive oils are produced).
As you explore the local countryside, admiring summer landscapes of sunflowers and fields of lavender, you’ll come across delightful villages and towns. Baux-de-Provence (10km), one of France’s acclaimed ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ and Van Gogh’s precious Arles (25km) are both within easy reach. Gordes (40km) is yet another one of the beautiful villages worth visiting with stunning architecture, set in the outstanding Luberon region with equally beautiful landscapes.
Don’t miss the lively city of Avignon during your stay. Explore the winding medieval streets, experience further excellent dining opportunities and visit two UNESCO world heritage sites, the Pope’s Palace and Saint Benezet Bridge. The covered market offers all sorts of delights or head to the weekend farmers, flower and flea markets for wonderful local produce and a bargain or two.
Golf-lovers will find a range of courses across the region whilst there are horse-riding and ample cycling opportunities nearby. A little further afield, older children will love kayaking near L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (40km) and there are plenty of other family friendly activities throughout this part of Provence from open castles and trekking across the tree-tops to visiting a zoo or model railway.
