About the surrounding area of Villa InfiniIn the Bouches-du-Rhône department of southern France, Villa Infini is located around 3km north-east of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, within Les Alpilles Regional Natural Park. Approximately 20km from Avignon, you can reach the area by flying into either Marseille, Avignon or Nîmes Airport, or by taking the high-speed direct train from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon to Avignon TGV.
Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (3km) is a lively Provençal town known for its charming terrace cafés, restaurants, and art galleries, as well as a variety of shops. The renowned Wednesday morning market draws visitors from all over the region - arriving early is the best way to soak up its bustling atmosphere. During peak summer months, a special Tuesday evening Creators Market showcases works by local artists and craftspeople.
The surrounding landscapes, ideal for walking, hiking, cycling, or horseback riding, have inspired many artists over the years. A short drive away, the galleries of Arles (28km) offer more artistic treasures, including the setting of Van Gogh’s iconic painting Café Terrace at Night.
In the heart of Les Alpilles, the picturesque village of Les Baux-de-Provence (13km) is classified as one of France’s ‘Plus Beaux Villages’ and is home to a historic château, surrounded by olive groves and woodland, making it a paradise for hikers.
