Overview
You can catch a glimpse of Mont Ventoux from this attractive villa near an authentic Provençal village and only 7.5km from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
Step inside Villa Belle Provence and be impressed by its stylish and contemporary interiors. The open-plan lounge, dining room and brilliantly equipped kitchen adds to the feeling of space with characterful shuttered doors opening out to the terrace and swimming pool. The covered terrace with its Weber gas barbecue is a picture-perfect spot for al-fresco meals on warm summer days overlooking the olive tree.
The main part of the villa is home to four comfortable bedrooms, two doubles upstairs which share a shower room and two ground-floor bedrooms with their own en suite. A gîte within the grounds offers two further bedrooms, a double and a bunk-bed room, alongside its own little kitchen and lounge, allowing Villa Belle Provence to sleep up to 12 guests.
The Mediterranean garden is beautiful with olive trees, summer flowers and lawns alongside the swimming pool and south-facing terraces. Play pétanque in the shade of the oak tree or listen to the birds as you relax in the hammock. Sit back on a sunny patio for a glass of Côtes De Provence rosé and soak up the lovely surroundings.
It’s just over 1km to the heart of the local village with its shops, restaurants, weekly market and summer festivities. Watch locals play boules on the main square as you sip coffee on a café terrace before picking up your fresh bread and groceries. How wonderful to be so close to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence as well, just over 10 minutes by car with its art galleries, bistros and bustling Wednesday morning market.
Spend the day in Avignon, follow walking trails near Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, canoe along the Sorgue River and potter around the antique stores of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. Venture south to the idyllic villages of Les Alpilles and admire the views from Les Baux-de-Provence before enjoying lunch in Maussane-les-Alpilles, known to produce some of the finest olive oil in France. You could even head to the Luberon, visit the vineyards of the Rhône valley or venture to the Roman sites of Nimes in this incredible part of southern France.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesThis is a great base for families wishing to explore Provence and beyond. Start off in the local village where you can soak up the authentic ambience at its Friday morning market or during summer festivities taking place.
Heading north-east, discover canoeing and kayaking along the Sorgue River near Fontaine-de-Vaucluse alongside tree-top adventures for a range of ages at Passerelles des Cîmes near Lagnes. Venturing over to the Gard department, Le Pont du Gard is another magnificent spot for canoeing/kayaking, riverside picnics and summer paddling.
When visiting the fascinating historic sites of Avignon and Nimes, youngsters may appreciate a trip on the tourist road train that usually operates in both destinations. It’s also lovely hiring bikes in Avignon and cycling over to the Rhône’s largest river island, île de la Barthelasse, where you can admire views back towards the historic city.
North of Avignon, Parc Spirou Provence is a popular family attraction, next door to a waterpark, whilst the caves at Grottes de Thouzon are a good way to keep cool in the height of the summer.
