Be inspired by the great painters of Provence as you walk around Villa des Impressionnistes. Step in to the grand living room with its library and impressive fireplace, then gather by the superbly equipped kitchen and inviting dining room. Doors open out to garden terraces for al-fresco meals and relaxation in the shade.
This is high-end living with classic artwork across the walls, fine furnishings and six beautiful bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, some featuring gorgeous Italian showers or clawfoot baths. There are four bedrooms in the main part of the house (including two on the ground floor) whilst the adjacent Orangery feels like your very own private 2-bedroom suite with its stylish lounge, gorgeous double with queen-size bed and separate twin bedroom.
Outside, discover idyllic spots for outdoor meals or sitting beneath the shady trees with a glass of wine from local wineries. A little stone path leads down to the swimming pool with its poolside terrace and covered outdoor lounge.
The house's entrance gate is set just off the main road leading to the picture-perfect village of Eygalières, around a 2km drive away. Loved by A-list celebrities, embrace the village’s charm as you sip coffee on café terraces beneath the shady plane trees or dine out in upmarket restaurants including the Michelin starred Maison Hache. Climb the hill to the oldest part of the village for the most glorious views of the surrounding landscapes of green valleys, vines and olive groves.
Van Gogh’s Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is just over 10 minutes away for art galleries and more wonderful restaurants whilst other gems of Les Alpilles include Les Baux-de-Provence and Maussane-les-Alpilles. Not to mention the glorious hiking trails and cycling routes, the perfect way to admire the stunning scenery of this enchanting part of Provence.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa des ImpressionnistesVilla des Impressionnistes is located in the countryside only 2km from the pretty village of Eygalières, around 30km south of Avignon. This is a wonderful base for experiencing the beauty of Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park as well as other captivating parts of Provence.
The main entrance gate is set just off the main road leading to the village – within a 2km drive you could be soaking up the Provençal charm of Eygalières with its beautiful old houses, little shops, café terraces and restaurants including the Michelin starred Maison Hache. Climb the hill towards the top of the village and admire stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. The Friday morning market is the highlight of the week and a lovely way to re-stock your kitchen or buy gifts to take home.
There are larger supermarkets and other useful amenities in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence (11km), a bustling town loved for its art galleries, Van Gogh heritage trail and more upmarket restaurants. Saint-Rémy’s vibrant Wednesday morning attracts visitors from across the region whilst there are other atmospheric markets in places such as Maussane-les-Alpilles (17km), Fontvieille (26km) and Avignon of course.
Meanwhile, Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park offers opportunities for walking, hiking, cycling and mountain biking or tour the landscapes on horseback. Discover wine-tasting opportunities near Saint-Rémy or further afield across the Rhône valley and Luberon vineyards. Meanwhile, canoeing and kayaking along the Sorgue River is a special experience – paddle as far as the enchanting town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (26km).

Best Suited For: All AgesLocated on the edge of Les Alpilles Natural Regional Park and only half an hour from Avignon, there are lots of wonderful activities across this part of Provence from gentle walks and cycle rides to more challenging hikes, mountain biking, rock-climbing, horse-riding and more.
Outdoor adventurists may also enjoy summer canoeing and kayaking along the Sorgue River near Fontaine-de-Vaucluse or a day at the tree-top activity centre, Passerelles des Cîmes, offering trails for a variety of ages (height restrictions also apply).
Young art lovers should pay a visit to Carrières des Lumières where artwork is projected on to quarry walls. Follow the Van Gogh trails in both Saint-Rémy and Arles and potter around art museums and galleries.
Meanwhile, Parc Animalier de la Barben is less than an hour away with its zoo animals and playground or stay closer to home and drive to L'Arche de Méo, a little farm where you can feed the animals and picnic in picturesque surroundings.
