Location
About the surrounding area of Villa BionVilla Bion is situated on the north of the island, very close to Ftelia Beach. Known as Mykonos's most bohemian beach Ftelia has a beach bar with a few sunbeds. It's famous for windsurfing too, enjoying the benefits of the Meltemi wind. The beaches in the north of the island are generally quieter than the more sheltered southern ones. The northern beaches are particularly popular with windsurfers, kitesurfers and those seeking tranquillity. Some of the popular northern beaches are Panormos, Agios Sostis, Choulakia and Ftelia, just 150m from the villa. There is are two wonderful beach clubs on the beach where you can get delicious cocktails as well as lunch.
It is 8km to the buzzy Mykonos Town. Mykonos Town, or Hora, is a shoppers paradise. Little Venice is charming with many souvenirs shops as well as chic, waterside bars and restaurants. Visitors flock to Little Venice as the sun is going down for the most brilliant sunsets. There are many art galleries, especially in Mavrogenous Street and also designer shopping in Matogliana. The town is picturesque with beautiful bougainvillaea adorning the mostly white buildings. The restaurants are very busy and serve a wide range of delicious food. There are several interesting museums, including the Folklore Museum, the Archaeological Museum and the Aegean Maritime Museum.
The pretty village of Ano Mera is in the centre of the island and is definitely worth a trip. It is the second biggest village on the island after Mykonos Town and also one of the oldest. It offers excellent shopping and some wonderful historical buildings such as the Panagia Tourliana Monastery with its fabulous bell-tower and marble fountain, Gyzi Castle which sits perched above the village and Paleokastro Monastery. There are some superb restaurants and cafes. This is definitely a place where you will get a feel for how the islanders live and go about their days.

Best Suited For: All AgesMykonos is a great destination for a family holiday. There are so many beaches to choose from, and the weather is excellent. There are many watersports on offer as well as diving and windsurfing courses. The beaches on the north coast of Ftelia, Agios Sostis and Fokos offer some tranquillity and space. Panormos has two restaurants and a trendy beach club. On the south coast Ornos, Kalafatis, Elia and Platys Gialos are all very popular with families. They are much more organised that the northern beaches and offer a big range of watersports including kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, wakeboarding and flyboarding. On the west coast, the narrow sandy strip of Agios Ioannis is a favourite spot for watching the sunset and for the Shirley Valentine movie.
Children always enjoy a boat trip. Two small islands are very close to Mykonos, ideal for day trips. Delos is the motherland of two Olympian Gods Apollo and Artemis. As Delos was one of the most sacred lands, no one was allowed to die there so the nearby Rineia came to be a large necropolis. There are daily cruises from the port of Mykonos to the uninhabited islands where you can explore the impressive ancient ruins of Delos and dip into the pristine, turquoise waters of Rineia.
The open-air cinema in Mykonos Town is popular with families. Set in a lush botanical garden full of pine trees, cacti, a resident pelican called Petros and fish ponds, there are movies shown at 9 pm and 11 pm. There are movies for children as well as adults such as Aladdin and Asterix and the Secret of the Magic Potion. The films are shown in their original version with Greek subtitles.

This villa is beautiful
This villa is beautiful. The Villa managers were so kind and helpful. It was extremely clean and the daily cleaning maid kept up with the Villa daily. The Villa itself was perfect. Excellent sized rooms, a beautiful pool and lounge area and perfect kitchen facilities. 10/10 recommend to everyone. Rent a car if you’re staying in this area - you’ll need it. But it’s very cheap and easy to drive.

Amazing House
An amazing house and one you must use on your visit to the beautiful island of Mykonos. The house is just perfect, modern, amazing design, private and beautifully maintained. It does not feel like a rental property at all. All the facilities you could need are in the house and only a short drive from supermarkets and 10 minutes to Mykonos Town. Superb views from the balconies greet you every morning.
The whole booking and arrival process was so easy and made everything so simple from start to finish.
Highly recommended and we will be back!
