Tucked away on Corfu’s serene east coast, Villa Iridos offers a rare glimpse into history and tranquillity. Just a stone’s throw from the UNESCO-listed Old Town and a stroll from the lively Gouvia Yacht Marina, this 18th-century gem is a haven of authenticity and seclusion. As you step through its grand entrance, you embark on a journey through time, where echoes of Venetian aristocrats, diplomats, and visionaries still linger in the air.
Inside, the villa’s charm unfolds effortlessly. High, beamed ceilings and original stone walls frame a beautifully curated interior, where antique heirlooms sit harmoniously alongside contemporary furnishings. The living spaces exude warmth and sophistication, with sumptuous seating, handwoven textiles, and glistening chandeliers casting a soft glow over centuries-old artefacts. Each of the five ensuite bedrooms tells its own story, adorned with carefully selected artwork and offering breathtaking sea views. Modern comforts blend seamlessly with historic elegance, ensuring every moment spent here is one of pure relaxation.
As you wander outside, the true magic of Villa Iridos reveals itself. Set amidst two acres of lush Mediterranean gardens, the scent of citrus blossoms and lavender fills the air. Ancient olive trees cast dappled shadows over meandering pathways, leading to hidden terraces where you can sip your morning coffee as the Ionian glistens before you. Just beyond the gate, a near-private beach invites you to dip your toes in the crystal-clear waters, while the vintage swimming pool, shaded by towering palms, offers the perfect retreat from the midday sun. For those with a competitive spirit, the villa’s tennis court and outdoor recreational spaces provide endless entertainment.
From the moment you arrive, Villa Iridos welcomes you not just as a guest, but as part of its storied past. Whether dining under the stars, exploring Corfu’s rich cultural heritage or simply basking in the villa’s timeless beauty, every experience here is one to be treasured. This is more than a stay—it’s an invitation to become part of history.
