Overview
Three-bedroom Villa Certosa is a Corfu gem. Only built 3 years ago, the new, stylish, white-washed villa is in a peaceful spot near the sleepy fishing village of Pentati, on the west coast of the island. Built into the hillside, it flaunts dramatic sea views and is the perfect place to watch a dreamy sunset. Elegance and modern are the buzzwords at the villa. Think sleek lines, soothing natural colours and luxury facilities. Perhaps the star feature is the infinity pool which looks as if it's spilling directly into the sea. From this serene spot, you're well placed to explore this fantastic part of Corfu, so rent a car to enjoy it.
From this villa, you're only a short walk from local tavernas and shops, there is a nearby beach but the road is very rocky and steep, it has crystal glass-clear waters though. Look out for mezes and locally-caught seafood in the tavernas. When you're not exploring the beautiful cobbled streets in the village, or trying the local cuisine, you can relax on one of the cushioned sun loungers lining your pool; find your perfect reading spot under shade, or enjoy your meals on the alfresco dining table.
Inside, there's a living area with a large sofa, comfortable armchairs and a television. For those relaxed family evenings in, the smart television allows you to access the most popular platforms for movie rentals. There's also an indoor dining table and a fully-equipped kitchen. Plus, chefs are available on request for breakfast, lunches and dinners – fancy. Continuing the decadence, the three bedrooms each have en-suite bathrooms and king-size beds that have memory foam mattresses and pillows to help you get your perfect night's rest. Each room also has plenty of wardrobe space for organising your holiday belongings and smart televisions. Bathrooms are spacious and modern, and have double sinks and large walk-in showers. The area is mostly rural and we recommend to have a car so you do get a real taste of authentic Greek life.
What you should know…
- The villa is on an incline so it’s easier getting to the beach than it is getting back, better to drive to another beach 3km away
- Due to the design of the infinity pool, children need to be supervised
- A bit of a steep walk/drive down ramp into property but is very short
- Not very suitable for young kids- stairs are only partially covered with fence and children could fall, also the infinity pool has a steep drop that children could fall from.

Location
About the surrounding area of Villa CertosaVilla Certosa in the sleepy fishing village of Pentati in the western part of Corfu, and is about 4km south оf Agiοs Gordiоs. The town is quiet and hasn’t given way to mass tourism yet so that you can expect a peaceful atmosphere. There are a couple of local tavernas and cafes, as well as a beach (3km). Plus, there are the old villages of Anо Раvliana and Katо Ρavliаna and nearby for you to explore. Whilst you can walk to these things we'd recommend a car to really enjoy the area.
In the resort village of Agios Gordios, there’s a famous Blue Flag Beach that’s perfect for sunbathing, swimming and snorkelling. The beach is nestled among the mountains and surrounded by olive tree forests, vineyards and impressive rocks. To reach it, you need to drive through a beautiful road full of vineyards and olive trees. There are a couple of restaurants and cafes nearby, and plenty of opportunities to take part in watersports like sea kayaking and jet skiing. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes in the village, and the pastel-coloured houses are worth exploring.
Beyond Pentati, about 3km away, is the authentic village of Sinarades. There you’ll find a Folklore Museum with an old housed, furnished as it would have been in the 19th century. There’s also a fantastic walking trail near here – the Corfu Trail – which follows tracks and cobbled paths and goes from taverna to taverna, through the rural countryside and around the coastline.
The centre of Corfu is about a 30-minute drive from Pentati. In Corfu Old Town, you can explore the Venetian-style neoclassical architecture. Walk along the cobbled streets between the high houses, buy traditional products or visit the hidden gardens. To the west, there’s a Fortress with fantastic views over the harbour. Corfu is also known for its friendly tavernas serving everything from Moussaka to Souvlaki. Sample imported beer, get your fill of pastries and delicious fresh pies at one of the bougainvillaea-draped bakeries or head to one of the sun-soaked beaches.

With its UNESCO World Heritage status and unbeatable strolling opportunities, there is no better place to start exploring than the main town and its historic old quarter, where ancient churches, scattered ruins and a handful of museums mean Corfu’s layers of history can be found just about everywhere. And if you’re in need of a cosy abode, take a look at our flawless villas in Corfu.

Kids
Best Suited For: All AgesBesides the showcase main old town in Corfu and a handful of museums, there are plenty of sandy beaches, scuba diving centres and sleepy villages – perfect for keeping children entertained.
When they’ve had their fill of splashing about in your villa’s private pool, head to the nearest sandy beach for calm, crystal-clear waters – perfect for snorkelling and swimming. The nearby resort village of Agios Gordios also boasts a Blue Flag Beach. Look out for watersports facilities so kids can take part in sea kayaking, parasailing and more.

Generous outdoor spaces
One of the few villas with an equipped and functional kitchen, also suitable for a catering professional like me on holiday.
The more than generous outdoor spaces offer a table for 10 people in the shade of two large tents, and a wonderful immense veranda with 2 sofas and an armchair from which to contemplate exceptional sunsets! Fast internet connection for some work that I brought with me on holiday…
I am satisfied with having chosen this villa for holidays with my family.

Unforgettable!
We spent a wonderful holiday in Villa Certosa, completely immersed in the silence and greenery of nature.
The villa offers every comfort you need, the contrast between the light colours and the blue of the sea is exceptional, simple and functional furnishings, clean villa in excellent condition.
Breathtaking sea view.
An experience that we will repeat next year, Unforgettable!

More beautiful than in the photos
Unusually the villa in the reality is more beautiful than in the photos, this surprised me because usually it is exactly the opposite!
To underline the silence, the peace and the breathtaking view that we have hardly found in other rental villas that we have frequented for our holidays.
Excellent internet connection without any problems!

Breathtaking sea view
For the first time after many years of frequenting Corfu, we chose the west coast, discovering an unexpected paradise, who would have thought!
Clean and tidy villa, breathtaking sea view, many taverns and beaches nearby.
Recommended in few minutes by car the immense beach of Chalikounas, sand dunes and beach bars, fantastic!! -
Great experience
We spent our holiday in this beautiful villa, surrounded by nature and silence. The main gate is accessed from a flat country road, which is easy to drive. The place dominates the blue of the sea at 180 degrees, we were surprised because the reality exceeded what was described in the photographs. Impeccable assistance and cleaning. Great experience, I recommend it.

Stunning Villa
We had a wonderful week’s holiday with Oliver’s Travels, a week on the southwestern side of Corfu in a stunning villa (Villa Certosa). The whole experience was great, the villa was exactly as described (air conditioning a massive bonus, as it was really hot outdoors) and the pool was heavenly. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every evening. Oliver’s Travels were very helpful - it was our second holiday with you - and we will be back. Thank you!

Extraordinary
This villa has an exceptionally beautiful location. When you swim in the pool, you have the feeling of swimming directly into the sea. You can see that quality and design were important in the construction of the villa. The furniture is high quality. Very comfortable beds. The rooms are all spacious and very nicely furnished. The outside area offers a lot of privacy. The view is phenomenal.

Breathtaking Views
This is a grand design, built thoughtfully to encompass the seamless view of open skies, sunsets and wide expanse of sea. The villa is all white with white furnishings, a hint of grey and wood adds to the visual delight. The infinity pool, glass panels, large outdoor white paved spaces, white beds, lighting, and TV are all to a very high standard. WiFi is just adequate for streaming. We connected a laptop to the TV for iPlayer, Netflix, etc. The location is remote, secluded, and accessed by some rough roads, so a car is a necessity. There aren’t many good quality local restaurants but we were happy to use the lovely kitchen and eat at the villa, enjoying the ambiance, views and sunsets. All kitchen appliances were new and easy to use. Pots, pans, cutlery and china were good quality and plentiful. A Nespresso machine & milk frother added to our comfort. The beds and pillows are Tempur which are quite firm. There are two wardrobes in each room with lots hangers but long dresses need to go elsewhere as will crease. The swimming pool is beautiful but very cold at this time of year! Nina, the brilliant housekeeper comes every day to change sheets and towels as necessary, and remove garbage. The washing machine, ironing board and iron are locked away inside an upstairs room at the owner’s request. On the way from the airport we recommend stopping at the airport Lidl supermarket and stocking up on all the food you will need. There is a good fridge freezer in the kitchen. The local supermarkets are pretty basic and sell very few items of fresh fruit and vegetables. Wasps and mosquitoes at this time of year are troublesome so bring sprays. Nina left orange juice, milk, bread, biscuits, cola, loads water, walnuts to crack, sparkling and wine, and a few coffee pods. All lovely touches but not enough to make your breakfast if you arrive on a late flight. Bring Nespresso capsules and tea bags. We liked Corfu town a lot and there was plenty to see; shops were nice, but parking is difficult until the afternoon. We do hope our review helps your holiday in this amazing villa and splendid location. Many many thanks for a great stay. Wish we could have stayed longer and look forward to coming back if you'll have us! . Nina was great! And your team's help well appreciated. Thank you.”

Breathtaking Views
During our vacation we felt at home. Very kind service staff, clean and comfortable villa! Large outdoor spaces, large pool with a breathtaking sea view !! The most beautiful beaches of the island are just a few minutes away by car and for those who enjoy walking, there are paths that start right outside the gate of the villa. A really lovely place !!

Great Vacation
I strongly suggest this villa, for its location, the comfort it offers, the silence, and the kindness of the service staff. Great vacation!

Simply Wonderful
I was with my family at Villa Certosa in May. New villa, and different from all the others we visited. The villa is simply wonderful, situated in a quiet and panoramic spot, equipped with every comfort. The owner has offered to fulfill all our requests and needs. The taverns nearby are great and well priced. We had a wonderful holiday! We will be back in September
